So I did a quick exit off the Mount Rose Highway (going the other way) and stopped here for gas. First Observation - You can get here off the roundabout, but where is not obvious the first time. We missed it and ended up doing a U turn further down the street. Observation #2 - Compared to Carson City prices, we were surprised that it's a little more expensive up in Reno. #3 - Fill up was fast and easy and getting out of here was a lot simpler than finding our way in.

They do have a Redbox and some small slot machines, and the store is well-stocked overall. I came in craving a Slurpee, but unfortunately, the three flavors I tried were all watered down--ended up not getting one after all. Not a terrible spot, but the Slurpee disappointment knocked it down a bit for me.

The problem is the pumps are ridiculously slow...no joke, it took a couple of minutes to pump a gallon of gas. Yes, THAT long! This has happened on several pumps on different days of the week. It also may help to have things cleaned up a little or even replace the faded pump screens; yes, I know it's just a gas station, but it would help to show a little pride and effort. Unless you have 20 minutes to spare, drive to the next gas station or you'll be staring at the slowest pumps ever...or you can turn your head and look at McDonalds or Home Depot while you wait!

The hubby gets gas every now and then, but I'm always at Costco or Sams for gas and groceries. So we both realized, we've never been in the store! When we went to pay the worker was obviously stalking the shelves behind the counter, his first priority even while we waited... til he was ready. No words exchanged at all.. kind of different. Needed to get gas and was driving by the USA Gasoline station so I decided to stop. Competitive gas…read moreprices compared to other gas stations in the area. What I appreciated was seeing the person working going around to each pump and cleaning everyone very thoroughly. The station in general was extremely clean. It was also not that busy so it was easy to get in and out without spending too much time. Will go back to this station on the regular.
