We ordered a cappuccino, chai latte, a salted Carmel cookie, and an oatmeal raisin cookie. Both cookies were warmed up and our drinks were perfectly crafted. The cafe area was buzzin with students studying, book lovers reading their new purchases, and families enjoying treats. Even so, there were ample tables available to occupy. Despite the Starbucks logo attached to the cafe, they do not accept Starbucks gifts cards or payment via the Starbuck app. Still a great place to complete the bookstore experience with coffee and sweets!

I showed them the "before" pictures I had taken of the truck, including the gas tank, and pointed out that the current tank had MORE gas than before. The guy there, with a smirk on his face, said, "Let's also look at the paper you signed." I asked him if he wanted to play legal games with me! Eventually, he begrudgingly said, "I'll dispute the charges. Sorry for the hassle." If they keep playing this game, renting out trucks without a full tank, it must be stopped. I had no other issues with this place, though. If you're going to rent a U-Haul from here, make sure you take pictures of the mileage and everything else to ensure they don't try to pull a fast one on you! Despite having no other issues with the rental, having it end this way, with a "shady" interaction, left a bad taste in my mouth.

It was actually nice that it was the first and closest thing to me when I walked in the doors. The cranberry and pecan chicken salad, as well as another one that I now can't remember. Both employees were away from the counter working but we're paying close attention to see if customers approached the counter which is really nice since often times at delis they have a tendency to kind of ignore you until you can somehow get their attention or they decide they're done with their current task So one of the employees came right over. I needed to know if the two salads had any gluten in them and he did not know since he said he doesn't typically work at the counter but he offered to go and find out, which he quickly did and was able to actually print out the ingredients so I could also see for myself and not have any doubts. He was so extremely and genuinely friendly, and happy to help. Such a nice change from most customer service these days. I complimented him on his service and told him I recommend he actually work at the counter because he was so good with customers. The other nice thing was that he was quick and everything that he did rather than just taking his time like many deli people do. Which I appreciated since I was so so so hungry I wish I would have gotten his name so he could get credit for his customer service and attitude and efficiency and effectiveness. He was very tall, white, thin...oh and he had a tattoo under his left eye of two arrows. That should help someone know who he is and hopefully give him kudos. So, I stopped in at Fred Meyers in Snohomish yesterday. Here's my review…read more.. I was INUNDATED with...wait for it...nice and helpful employees. Yep. Okay, I admit, this is not exactly breaking news for those of us who shop here on a regular basis but that doesn't mean it doesn't need to be noticed. For example, let's talk about Kathy at the seafood and meat counter. There was this lovely customer in one of the little motorized shopping carts who needed assistance and Kathy was incredibly kind and helpful. I know, I know, that's her job, but she did it with a smile and a lot of patience. How cool is that? She also made sure to acknowledge me, and other customers as they approached, to make sure we knew she saw us. Like they say, it is the littlest things that are so appreciated. My checker, May, was a sweetheart; helpful, friendly and super-efficient. We got through almost the entire order, and I realized I had forgotten my ID in my truck (apparently 60-ish is the new 21 Hahahaha but having owned a C-Store I have no problem with following a protocol that can be quite expensive if not followed). She could not have been more understanding, pausing my order as I dashed outside to fetch it. No rolling of eyes, no judgement, just a "customer-first/no problem" attitude. And, as I was heading out with my wildly full cart, I couldn't help but notice this gal (I found out her name was "Bella" from Elly, another delightful employee at customer service) who was happily dashing between checkout stands helping bag groceries wherever she was needed. It goes without saying (but it shouldn't) that their produce is fantastic. Their fresh flowers are gorgeous. The Copper River salmon I bought from Kathy was incredible...I could go on and on. Oh, and the lavender plants they had out front for $8.99 a piece? WOW! YAY! I know I can forget how much work it takes to make a big store like Fred Meyers run well. I also believe it is proof positive of great management within that store when it does. Employees who trust in their bosses work harder. It's just human nature. We are blessed to have this particular store in our town. Go there, you will agree.

It's spotlessly clean, easy to navigate, and every aisle has something enticing. The staff is super friendly without being overbearing. There appears to be proper staffing, nobody seems stressed out or too busy to casually assist you. The checkout line is always packed, but the crew clears people through at lightning speed. Nobody is crawling around the floor covered in listeria. The fact that you're hear about safety recalls at Trader Joe's proves the company takes them seriously; otherwise, they would go unannounced. I've previously worked in the industry so I can assure you that many other places handle recalls quietly, you don't even know they're happening. It takes a lot to impress a pessimist like me, but this location has managed a perfect streak. Every visit, absolutely zero issues; they've genuinely earned my respect.

Walking in, the place is pretty small, compared to other Trader Joe's in Washington. The quality of the fresh items aren't the greatest, we were looking for strawberries that were organic, and they still had leaves in it and some looked like mold was formulating. Other food items however in the frozen aisles were good, they always have new items and I really enjoy how spacious the aisles are from one to another. The service itself wasn't the best. Every Trader Joe's i've been to people are ALWAYS asking about your day, how you are, or even the bare of smiling and being nice. The guy who checked us out had a straight face the entire time, literally no expression. I just felt like the staff here isn't as friendly as Bellevue or Kirkland's location. Overall, I wouldn't come back to this Trader Joe's ad my first choice, it was smaller than the other location, less quality on the products, and staff weren't friendly as other locations.
