    Safety hazard
    Ingrid B.

Yesterday I bought two Italian subs and found these bones(?) in them, I thought it was only in one sub, which I stopped eating after I basically almost choked on the bone. I wanted to give the other sub the benefit of the doubt, but there were two more of these bones(?). This is not only a sanitary issue but also a safety hazard. I went into the store and the manager told me I put the bones in there and that I was a liar, which is very unprofessional to have someone like that represent the 7 eleven company image. I don't care about a refund, it is the way the owner handled the situation that was very unprofessional. I am very upset about the way I was treated and accused when I actually could have choked. The store number is Store 13610 at La Jolla CA 92037. If that sub sandwich was consumed by a child, they may have not known to stop eating and that could have actually blown up to be a medical emergency. Their service is bad but their food is a health hazard!

The receipt I was given but am now told it's not the correct receipt.

Good little 7-Eleven on La Jolla Blvd. Right next to the Shack so if you run out of cash, go here and use the ATM.

"Do you have a family or just working there?" This is the first question you asked me when I met you at 7-eleven (P.B.). Remember?

If you're planning a beach holiday in this part of town, you will probably end up shopping at this exact convenience store. We got into town ahead of our friends, and they requested that we buy a couple of long-handled wood and plastic beach shovels for their kids. They sent us a picture and said they could never find them anywhere except at the beachside shops in La Jolla. We went on a little walk and immediately came across Neighbor-Saver, and sure enough, the shovels were there, right when we went in. The shop was big and well stocked, as clean and nice as it had to be and not even a little bit more. There were toys and apparel for sale, plus all the standard convenience store items and a counter for Thrifty ice cream. We picked up three shovels, figuring our boys might want their own, and a $22 bottle of spray-on sunscreen. The cashier was polite, the transaction seamless and quick. We checked into La Jolla Beach & Tennis Club later that afternoon and the boys and I didn't leave for the next two days. The kids loved playing at the beach, and they were absolutely obsessed with those shovels. My husband did go on a couple of errands, hunting and gathering pizza and wine. He brought back a few decent bottles, and when I asked him where he found them, he said he just walked to the Neighbor-Saver Market. The selection wasn't impressive or anything, but we drank perfectly well. In retrospect, I regret not going back to the market to pick up one more beach shovel. Our friends were right, as it turns out--you can't just buy the same ones on Amazon. I'll have to go back to Neighbor-Savor next time we're in La Jolla. We'll probably be there anyway, for whatever else we need.

It's always been sub par for the area and never a place to go for a kind greeting. A couple days ago, my young daughter wanted to go in so I said ok. Unfortunately we were met by the nastiest cashier, the guy with numerous face piercings. He was so outrageously rude, yelled at us for asking him a question. My daughter was actually scared of him. The other customers in the store were also shocked by his disgusting behavior. Thankfully, we decided to go across the street to the Cheese Shop to see if they had something similar. There, we were met by the most welcoming employee who helped us out and found something that fit the bill. While I never wanted to go into this dilapidated market for anything beyond a bar a surf wax, I'll definitely NEVER go there again.

I drove to shell and when I walked in I saw a young African American male and a 20-30 something year old lady at the counter. I came in and smiled and asked for an application. The woman (Whom I later found out was Cynthia, looked at me like I had shot on my shirt. It was the young man who assisted me and gave me the application to fill out. I went to an empty counter to fill out my application and when I was finished there was another different cashier on duty. Cynthia was no where to be found. I asked to speak with a manager , since I was already there and filled out an application. This lady went to her office and SHUT THE DOOR!! She knew I was there for a possible interview. The new cashier had to coax her out to speak with me. She fed me a bunch of bullshit and stated she would get back with me. My resume and application shows that I have experience working at gas stations and mini marts. I think I was just rude for her to be a manager, never introduce herself, then go to her office and shut the door, knowing someone was seeking a job. I don't know what they are looking for ,but a month later they had another add stating "Shell in Torrey Pines is "STILL"hiring. Being a manager, you should judge by work experience, not because they don't have the "look"you're attracted to.
