These strawberries were BAD. Lots of them on there, but they were sour and tart. Completely soaked in pink syrup that tasted as rancid as it looked. I scrapped it all off, covered the waffle in butter and syrup and managed to choke it down but the damage was already done. Bacon was totally flat and overdone, like they put an iron on top of it and walked away for too long. Sausage was bad quality, brown n serve came to mind. "Cooked" poorly as well. It was strong and not overly sweet - the perfect balance. I devoured the pistachio twist (this name may be wrong) and almond orange cookie! My son loved the strawberry and hazelnut cookies too! While I was there I learned a little about the place, everything is made there, including the bread, using recipes passed down from family. I loved everything we've tried and cannot wait to go back!
