I'm not sure if it was because we got there around 12, or if they just don't have other pastries regularly. It was also a lot more expensive than other coffee shops in the area. If we are back in the area we will definitely come back for the coffee and vibes. The inside is beautiful and a really chill place. It was clean inside and the couches were comfy. I also liked that the baristas knew the locals that came in. That welcoming feeling makes all the difference.

I was annoyed the night before as I had thought there was some sort of breakfast included when I was asking about the times of the breakfast, and he said they didn't have there. So, we ventured into town for Cape Charles Coffee House. It's a cute, historic place with an upstairs area with additional seating. The brunch & coffee was solid & nice staff, but I do remember it took awhile to get the food. Perhaps, they were on Cape Charles time as opposed to DC-Baltimore area time I'm used to...haha. Neither item was very large, but the price was right. It's a distinctive atmosphere, and you can see that this place is trying to bring something new to the area. It's not the kind of stuff you'd get at a high-end urban cafe, but it worked for me on the day.
