*can't believe I come here about 48 times a week and I didn't do a Yelp review yet. Love this and ALL 7-11 locations! The way they compete with eateries is incredible! From sushi, pizza, drinks, bentos, you name it. I Love it! I forgot about Gas, Lol. Fuel up your ride, the fuel is expensive, but we need it to go where we need to go. The workers are especially nice and always greets us when we enter. Always clean and orderly. Cannot go wrong with 7's. Come by, fuel up, get some or a lot of ono grinds and head out. One of three 7-11 Hawaii stores in Waianae. This location is at the corner of Makaha Valley Road and Farrington Highway. It is the last gas station heading west bound. This 7-11 location better known as Makaha 7-11 would be my pit stop after school during the late 1980's and early 1990's. I would always get my monthly bus passes from this location (each month is a different design or different picture). There's also a bus stop on Makaha Valley Road for customers who depend on Uncle Fasi limousine as their transportation. I come to this location for bus passes, drinks, snacks, and even magazines, books, or word search pamphlets. I take notice that this location tend to have panhandlers (people asking for 25¢, 50¢, or even $1.00) or homeless people hanging around the premises no matter what time of the day it is. You know what, I actually like this 7-11. It has provided me with many a snack in the midnight hour for many many moons. I've lived up the road from here for a very long time and have walked down the street to get those late hour munchies for at least 10 years. In fact in the middle of the night I even come to get cat food every now and then lol. Ladies behind the counter be like... what the....... lol. Funny story: they only give paper bags now, which is odd. I feel so uncomfortable carrying paper bags because I feel like that is the obligatory sign that you bought alcohol. I'm not trynna walk back down the street in Waianae holding what looks like an alcohol purchase under my arm in the middle of the night like..... please don't jump me for my alcohol random streetwalker.... it's just cat food!! Never seemed to have a problem with service and the store is also very clean. It would actually upset me sometimes I'd come in the middle of the night and it'd be closed so they could mop or something. That hasn't happened to me for a while though. At least we know it's not all grungy! They definitely keep up their duties here. And omg have you ever been to a 7-11 on the mainland? I don't even know WHAT I stepped into when I went to the ones in Maryland. They look so... grungy-convenience-store from the outside and definitely look that way on the inside lol. No comparison. Makaha 7-11, you're pretty on-point. Lastly, be aware that this is the last purchasing point and gas station heading west. There are no more stores beyond this so if you're unfamiliar with the area, plan to stop here for your snacking and refueling needs before going out to the beaches. read more

Three weekends in a row they have run out of IPA. This isn't the end of the world, but when it happens all the time someone doesn't understand that you purchase and stock what your customers want, not a bunch of "Kinky Cocktails" or hard cider because they have pretty boxes. Inventory 101: You buy more of the stuff you sell out of consistently. Also, I love the staff but it isn't at all unusual to have a line of 10+ people and one cashier. Everybody else avoids eye contact while they count money, stock shelves, wipe down the slurpie machine, etc. There aren't many choices in Makaha, so it's really a pain park in their crowded lot, get inside, and leave empty handed because of pukas on the shelf. read more

7-11 is the only name brand business on this side of Makaha. They attract so many customers that during peak hours you could be standing in line behind 15 people. Other than that, the female cashiers are always smiling and helpful. I go here for Slurpees and chips. read more

I hardly ever fill up gas here unless I've been running the truck on E for a while and it's an emergency, since there are cheaper gas stations elsewhere but I love coming to 7-11 for snack as everyone else pretty much does. My favorite snacks from here are the manapuas, pork hash, and mini bentos. Buying food from a gas station may seem iffy but not 711 Hawaii lol. They've got mini bentos to big bentos, with things like onigiri (riceballs/triangles lol) with little smokies and eggs or chicken for the mini bentos and fried saimin, chicken teriyaki, pork and peas, etc for the bigger bentos. I can't count how many different bentos they have. The food is available hot from the heater or if you want to bring some for lunch to heat up later there are many bentos in the refrigerated section too. They also have different kinds of musubis and hot dogs. Munchies fulfilled!! 7-11 is also slurpee central, Especially since it's so hot in Makaha, it's nice to be able to get a cool drink. I also buy ice bags from here for coolers or when our ice machine is acting up lol. Overall, they have tons of snacks. Not just the usual chips and cookies. Decent sized parking lot, it does get full but not often are all the parkings taken. There are people asking for money at any given time, and homeless like to hang out around the area but to me it's nothing to be worried about, it's still safe lol. read more

There is a extremely rude employee that was newly hired here. My mom told us about her incompetent service and a month or so ago I witnessed it myself. While my sister and I were getting Slurpees and the woman had a annoyed look on her face when no one could hear her say "next in line". Although that can be frustrating she then yelled "NEXT IN LINE!!!". All of this was happening when we were being serviced by another cashier. It may seem like she wasn't doing much but then I heard her say this. After not being heard she said "This is why I hate...", I'm not to sure what she said after this but I'm sure she said something about work or "this place". It is obvious if she's​ willing to say that freely to herself in public she doesn't appreciate having this job. Everytime I see her at the cashier she always has that annoyed look on her face, it's never changed. It's clear she is incompetent of spreading the aloha spirit. The next time we might report her, she is not a good worker. This is the only issue I have with this location. The rest of the workers are wonderful and the musubi is great. Since I live in Makaha, I've been here countless times. It's usually always welcoming and I wish it would stay that way. I have unfortunately never got her name. read more

I really hate coming here. The morning crew are always so lazy and I always hear them complaining about how they work too much and their boss doesn't hire people that actually wants to work. When I use to work mornings in kapolei i would come here after I get off because I loved the afternoon crew. Always so energetic and helpful. I think the best people that work here are Ty, Gabby, Anastasia, Susan, the older lady that works by the food, and Tiana. I really love their energy and vibes. read more

Come here a lot. Morning team is definitely the slowest, lazy & not helpful at all. Always letting line get long & I look around get one person on register. Others are going in & out the back door. Leaving the one person, alone on register. Not team work at all. Afternoon crew, always energetic, line never backs up and when it does, another person hops on register. That's how it should be, team work. Anna, I think is her name, always rushing to help customers & Susan, the old lady, always smiling and greeting people when entering store. Both of them. This is the third time I've come to 7-11 Makaha around 10:30AM every time I come. The morning shift is always so lazy and can never stop talking to ring me up. The first time it happened, he old lady with the messed up makeup & red hair with bangs was rushing me so she could go and talk story with a tall Hawaiian looking girl. The second time I came in the same lady was talking story with one of the customers while the AWESOME girl on the register right when you walk in the door, was ringing up a really long line by herself. I asked the girl "only you working right now?" She responded. "Yeah I'm so sorry I'm the only ringer right now. I'm gonna try and get this line going as fast as I can. I'm so sorry". Every time I came before the girl on the first register is always so happy, always greeting the customers & always making sure I have what I need. I think her name is Anna. Very nice young lady. The third time I went in the same old lady with the ugly makeup and red hair was talking story with a customer again and the person that was on the register by the steamer was ringing up customers by herself.
