It looks and feels so whimsical with the water from the nearby river flowing, and the trees providing that wonderful shade as the wind blows. This is a perfect place to come to and relax either by yourself or with friends. The coffee here is so good! I had the rose latte and it was one of the best coffee's I've enjoyed in a long time. I also went ahead and bought a pound of their decaf locally roasted coffee for my mom. It's water processed instead of using chemicals to remove the caffeine. She loved it. The shop inside is so beautifully curated you feel as if you're in a museum. If you've ever been to an Anthropologie store, it gives off similar vibes. They offer some local artist goods, a lot of it coming from women owned businesses. Many of these beautiful items come with a hefty price tag though. Overall a great addition to the area, and especially a great place for a cup of Joe.

I stopped by Shelburne Falls Coffee Roasters during an early morning pass through Northampton and…read morewas initially a little confused by the name since Shelburne Falls is tucked away in the Berkshires. A quick look at their story cleared it up; this location carries on the legacy of the founders' original coffee-roasting roots. The shop had an inviting, upbeat atmosphere thanks to the friendly baristas and the music filling the room. After ordering, I was directed to a lineup of self-serve coffee carafes featuring everything from dark and medium roasts to Guatemalan, Colombian, and flavored blends. I started with the Guatemalan roast, which was smooth, rich, and full of flavor. Settling in by the large windows with a cup of coffee and *The New York Times* on my phone made for a relaxing way to start the day. The café itself is a nostalgic throwback to the neighborhood coffee houses of the '90s, complete with wooden tables, local artwork, and burlap coffee sacks from around the world displayed like works of art. When I finished my first cup, I went back for a refill and decided to try the Rainbow Blend. That turned out to be the highlight of the visit. It was exceptionally smooth, full-bodied, and remarkably low in acidity, making it easy to savor every sip. I enjoyed it so much that I left with a bag to brew at home. If you're looking for a welcoming coffee shop with excellent drip coffee and a cozy, old-school vibe, Shelburne Falls Coffee Roasters is well worth a stop.

Seating is pretty good considering the size of the place, and there are plenty of outlets, which I loved. I got their seasonal apple cider cold brew, which was delicious but on the sweeter side. The staff was super nice and helpful; I will definitely be coming back to try some of their baked goods and other drinks!

This review is for the bread alone because I do not often try their pastries, sandwiches and other…read moreofferings. The bread itself is average to above average depending on the loaf of the day. But its consistently troubling issue is the large amount of flour caked on and baked on the outside of the loaves. They use an extreme amount of flour on the raw dough as a release from their baking baskets, and after the bake they just leave it all stuck to the loaf. When I bring a loaf home I often spend a few minutes smacking it and scraping it over the sink where I dislodge so much raw flour from the outside of the bread. Sometimes there's a rind of undercooked flour cemented to the outside of the loaf. This is wildly unacceptable.

Reading my old review, I was all about the coffee and breakfast sandwiches and that still holds true, but this most recent trip was a big batch of bagels. As a Jersey girl, my standards are high but Tandem met them all once again. We were stopping by family for breakfast so we preordered a variety bag of a dozen bagels. Everything from salt to French toast was in the mix so there was something for everyone. We also got a tub of the plain cream cheese and a tub of the veggie cream cheese, both were gone almost immediately. We (luckily) preordered ahead of time. If you are stopping by on a weekend morning, this is the way to go. It was a madhouse, and I am sure it moves quick, but it was amazing to just pop in, grab our bag and head out. If you're craving a bagel, this seems to be the place to go.

A fair bit surprised this business doesn't have more reviews. I haven't done a review in a long…read moretime but felt this would be a good reintroduction. Corsello Butcheria is located in a good spot in Easthampton - about 19 American Football fields away from the base of Mount Tom. Parking can be a bit scarce, but onstreet parking is available, as is parking in the municipal lot on Cottage street and some spots are usually available on Orchard and Chapel streets. Basically, this is a place to go buy meats. I like meats. They appear to source their meats locally and I do believe there's an emphasis on humane treatment/raising of the animals which give their bounty for sale at the shop. I do a lot of hardwood smoking, and being able to go to Corsello to get a real, legitimate local "boston butt"/pork shoulder FRESH makes a world of difference in comparison to the cryovac Hormel fare one would typically find at a supermarket. *side note- i hate cryovac pork. i feel like i need to open every window in the house when i cut open one of those packages*---Anyways.... It's also nice to be able to find things like local tri-tip, beef short ribs, flank steak, and a lot of curious items such as "liver treats" marketed toward "cats, dogs, and humans". It's refreshing to be able to walk into a place and see some chicken leg/thigh cuts and notice that they aren't the huge steroid-laden robochickens you typically find at chain stores for sale. The proportions of the bones/meat/fat look natural, as they're locally raised and slaughtered. In addition, they sell baguettes and stuff which are legit. I can't get real deal canned San Marzano tomatoes at Big Y for instance (poseurs), but I can get them here. They make solid meatballs, and truthfully the reason I go there more often than not is because their house-smoked hot italian sausage is awesome. I used to go to Outlook Farms for unsmoked-hot sausage (I often still do), but I more often than not find myself riding my bike down to Corsello for their hot sausage be it raw or smoked because it's closer to home and it's a neat personalized experience I guess you could say. I hate giving out 5 star reviews but I actually have nothing to bitch about with this place so 5 stars it gets. Also, Vincent and Kasey are cool people and their staff is always attentive when I walk in. They always seem to be cutting up meat in the window looking out to Cottage Street which looks rad to passerbys so yeah. 5/5.... begrudgingly. I hate perfect reviews.
