I've been coming here for years, but was reminded of what I had been taking for granted when I tried to go to a smog check closer to my house. It was the picture of despair - one unfriendly guy in the garage, 3 customers waiting on dirty chairs in a dark room that had apparently been there a long time - no thanks! This was a great experience. There are plenty of smog places to choose from and I was scheduled at my usual oil change garage. I was informed that I needed a Star smog something-or-other, and handed a discount flyer to 7Day Smog. I am going to coming here for any smog services I need in the future. This is a tidy garage with a few well-thought out sitting areas (one outside and one inside). Being winter, I opted for inside and found neat piles of magazines (even a section geared towsrd women!) a couple of computer stations a radio, water, and plenty of seating. This place must've been organized by a very thoughtful person, because it is awesome. There is a small workout station, which I would've used had I mustered the guts to ask. Besides the great setting, the young man who helped me was polite, efficient, and pleasant. Bravo! read more

I've been getting my now-elderly Subaru smogged here for going on a decade, maybe four or so tests since I acquired the car (used). They're *always* courteous, professional, quick, and fairly-priced. For this morning's test, I arrived close to the start of the day, following a short drive that included a few miles on the freeway to make sure the old beast was warmed up. I pulled in, and no one else was ahead of me (I had not made an appointment). Cutting to the chase: it was about twenty minutes from checking in to paying the bill, barely time to walk a couple blocks to the recently-renamed Caffe Trieste, get a coffee, and walk back. Only one car ahead of me and the total wait time was only about 15 minutes - for longer waits, they have a clean and cozy waiting room w/wifi, snacks and beverages. I've come here for over 10 years, always great but this time was beyond unbelievable. I Called at 5:15pm asked the guy if I got there in 15 mins could he still do my smog. He said yes, I'll do it. So I got on the road, hit a few red lights but got there in 20. He blocked the garage when I drove up, I said are you going to let me in? he said, "you said 15 mins"., I said " there was some traffic, how long does it take?", he said "15 minutes", I said "ok we have 25 minutes," He then said we'll you can understand a man wants to go home after a long day", I said "I do, but you told me to come, and I am here", He then told me he has paperwork to do. Then closed the garage, got in his car, locked the gate and pulled away 20 minutes before closing time. SERIOUSLY?!!, you tell someone you'll do their smog but because they were 5 minutes later you lock them out, and leave early?!!!! I will never come here again. read more
