**Second Update** I was forced to have my toenail removed completely, as there was simply no medication or procedure powerful enough to kill the otherworldly fungus I picked up from 7 Day Spa. It's been nearly 6 months since it was removed, and it has only grown back about 2/3 of the way. With any luck I'll have a full toenail by the end of sandal season this year. Bad service all around. The nail tech was rushing to get my nails done. I didn't understand what the rush was they were not busy. From the start I let her know she was filing my nails Wrong . She was not happy about it continued with nail polish . I complained again she called over her boss and they agreed. Then corrected the issue by filing my freshly polished nail . They thought that was okay. I had them redo the nail because the polish was now bad. Also, requested nail art that tech wanted did such a poor job on . I had to request them to redo . The ladies in this shop are very helpful, patient (I always have tons of questions, don't judge picking nail polish colors is a hard decision to make). As well, they work quickly. I was happy to find this place on groupon and it's about 6 min from my job. I had a no chip, decided to go with a natural color to mix with different outfits for work and otherwise. Since it's my birthday, I jazzed it up with some gold glitter top coat. Each layer was done perfectly and they were nice the entire time. They also do no chip pedis so I'm definitely coming here again since it's so close to work. There are only 4 pedicure stations and 4 manicure stations. All felt very cramped. At first they told me about 10 min wait for walk in. Ok cool. But then they had me sit in chair and after I got settled and put my feet in the water two technicians were arguing over chair so they had me get out and go wait some more. The girl that did my pedicure (Jessica I believe) seemed to be arguing with another staff person the entire time (I am not sure because they were not speaking English). I also felt rushed during pedicure. Another technician did my manicure. I could tell she was embarrassed about what happened with getting out of seat for pedicure. She did a great job and it was relaxing. However, they do not have a drying station. After I got my manicure they had me move to sit somewhere else so another customer could get a manicure. Decided to try a new nail place in the surrounding area. Turns out it was a bad idea! Didn't have an appointment but they got me in right away - came in at 10:00 am opening on Friday. Chose a regular mani/pedi for $30. Upgraded for $5 to a mint pedi. (Bill came to $40, so they charged $5 to remove my prior no-chip polish). The water in the bowl got pretty cool right away which is not fun on a cold day. Liked the pedi, but got one toe cut on the pedi while trimming cuticles. Also got a thumb cut while doing the mani's cuticles. I've never had 2 cuts in a mani/pedi before, and I've done a lot of them!! She apologized for the hand but had hurried through the one on my toe and didn't acknowledge it. They don't use baggies on the feet, which kinda worried me... when I got home, yep, 2 toes were smudged. Great. By the next evening, 3 of my fingernails were chipped already. Ridiculous. The polish was OPI, but guessing it was old? It's now Tuesday and every nail is chipped, many with almost all of the polish chipped away. Let me start by saying: I usually do my own nails, but every once in a while I like to treat myself to a mani/pedi. Gotta keep those cuticles in check! I was in the area and decided to give this place a try when my usual salon was closed. I went in with my best friend for a mani & pedi, it was his birthday and he had never had a mani/pedi before. We walk in & there are 2 people finishing up in the pedicure chairs, and about 5 staff there. They ask if we had an appoint, which we did not, but it wasn't a problem. They took us right away and got started on the pedicures. It was a standard pedi; they clipped, filed, scrubbed, and moisturized. The manicure was nothing like I've had before, and I don't mean that in a good way. I sit in the chair & the lady puts this cuticle oil/moisturizer mixture on my nails... And then pushes back & clips my cuticles. Ummm, I don't know about you, but my favorite part of a mani is relaxing with my nails soaking in the little bowl of warm water... Where's my little bowl?! I never got it; strike one. As mentioned before, this was my friend's first manicure, and I feel like he's been deprived of an experience. Then, the nail tech that was doing his nails cut him! Don't be so rough with the cuticle nipper; strike two. Then the girl that polished my nails didn't even clean up my skin with acetone when she was done, I had polish on my skin; strike three. First thing right off the bat- this place is TINY. There seemed to be very little air movement and I question if they have the proper ventilation for a nail salon because the scent was stronger than usual. I had a groupon and am always questionable about the treatment of groupon users. Things started off better than I had anticipated for my mani-pedi. Sava was very sweet and started at my toes. She was thorough yet gentle. Very detail oriented. I got the impression that she was new based on how the other girls were talking to her. She finished my pedi and walked me over to the manicure area. She began on my hands and did a great job filing and trimming my cuticles. She was able to finish most of the prep work before Yuki came over and told her to go do a pedicure for a different woman. I was kind of bummed because I liked her but this has happened to me at different places so no big deal. WRONG. BIG DEAL. Yuki was aggressive with how she treated my nails. She SCRAPED them in a manner I have never seen before. My left hand began bleeding because she cut my cuticles incorrectly and two days later they are still very sore. I am surprised to see all of the reviews naming her as being fantastic because that was not my experience. She hastily put on my nail polish and missed parts of the nail and loaded up my thumb. I actually asked to have my thumb redone after it tried because there was a pool of polish that made it seem like my nail was really thing in one area. I waited at the manicure station (there was no proper drying area). My pedi too 40 minutes. My mani took an hour and 20 minutes of me mostly waiting for the retouched areas to dry that a third girl, Windy completed (she was very nice and detail oriented as Sava had been). I observed other girls giving shoulder massages following completion of the manicure... Yuki never offered that to me. Additionally, here is the kicker. I paid $29 for my groupon. Their price for a mani-pedi was $25. What gives?! I'm extremely disappointed and will not be going back. I'll spend the extra $5 elsewhere. read more
