For our drinks my wife went with a Raspberry limeade refresher and I went with a Iced hot chocolate. I personally enjoyed my drink. Had good flavor and was tasty. My wife didn't really care for her raspberry limeade but it was something new for her. At other Heine bro locations she has gotten refresher flavors she has enjoyed. My flatbread while on the smaller end was tasty. The providing of salsa was a big plus for me. The scone was amazing and will Be an item we get frequently when visiting. Overall a nice simple and small drive thru location. Fern creek recently also had a Starbucks open so it is nice to finally Have some quick coffee house locations. I patiently said maybe this is someone with a large order, perhaps a door dasher. We then see what looked like a medium size cup of tea being passed out to the customer. The truck on our right get their order and pull off. For 5 more minutes the female employee continues talking and laughing. I'm starting to get a little annoyed at this point. Truly thinking more of an order is coming out-but no. The car finally drives off and the dark haired female employee goes into the store and a very tall young guy comes to my car to take my order. I say to him- "Did that young lady just have my mom and I sit here for 15 minutes while she talked to a friend"????? I asked him where is your manager/supervisor and he says she isn't here. I then ask if there was a store number and he says no. I then ask if I could get a receipt. Now mind you there is another vehicle behind my mom and I waiting almost as long as we did. The tall young guy walks to the vehicle behind me, frustrated apparently because I asked for a supervisor, store number and my complaint how rude it was to keep us waiting while the young lady had a conversation for 15 minutes. Another young male employee comes over to finish my order and says the previous customer comes here every Thursday. My response? What does that have to do with keeping me waiting 15 minutes? He apologized and I told him thanks but it wasn't him who owed the apology- it should have come from the young lady who acted like she had NO OTHER CUSTOMERS waiting in the drive- thru- whilst she chatted it up with a friend. I swear there were more guests in line for an iced cinnamon latte or dirty chai at the coffee cart than there were for the open bar most times of the night. It was great! I found booking Carter Coffee a dream as a vendor. Easy to work with, collaborative, and great communication on the front-end. I had seen this team at a business breakfast recently. I was really impressed with their coffee quality (they are currently partnered with another local coffee team, West Louisville Coffee Roasters), and service as a guest. Now on the other side planning the event myself, Kambron was as excited as we were to put together a custom menu that was going to work for our wedding. Having a coffee cart helped my guests who don't choose to drink - or simply want additional non-alcoholic beverage options - feel totally included. Bonus - that extra caffeine goodness kept folks on my dance floor until the very end - including me! This is a great team and a great product that delights their guests. After driving by it because we didn't see a sign for a coffee shop, we turned around and found out is a part of High Foods. We were greeted upon entering and browsed the coffee side of the shop while the staff completed a food order. The inside of the shop has an almost industrial feel with several tables and some bench seating on one side. Several arcade games are available for those who enjoy them. The most impressive thing about our visit was the pride that Tammy, our server (and apparently the cook and barista!), took in her work. It was obvious that she loved the establishment and her job. After finding out it was my first visit, she went out of her way to share the menus and told me about local favorites. She was very outgoing, friendly, and willing to find suitable substitutions with the coffee menu that would accommodate my dietary needs. I was also thrilled when I learned that the cardboard sleeve on my coffee had artwork by children from a local elementary school! What a great way to get children involved in their community. Having already had lunch, I didn't get to try the food. But everything that I saw looked delicious. One patron was eating a BLT that made my mouth water! Tammy told us about their breakfast menu and I can't wait to go back to try some menu items.
