Sometimes I can taste the ginger, sometimes not at all...If I was diabetic failing to follow the no sugar request would pose a major problem. Disappointing that it's not consistent. I placed an order through the app and sent my son to go pick up the order. They were no customers in the store and one car in the drive thru. When he arrived home, there were no chips in the bag to go along with the two flatbread sandwiches that I ordered. I called the store and spoke to Gianna and she said I could come back up(), or have my name written down in their guest log. I chose the latter. The sandwiches were just ok I wouldn't purchase them again and the lettuce was old. Now for the star of the show...the Acai bowl. I opened that bowl with great anticipation and was thoroughly and utterly disappointed. We eat with our eyes first and the old fruit that they piled on that bowl was disgusting. The bananas and strawberries were not fresh at all. I had extra granola and peanut butter added and increased the price to over $11. I picked the old fruit off and ate the bowl and it was absolutely delicious! If the fruit had been fresh, then that bowl would have been a ten! Fast forward to today, April 10th, I was in the area and stopped by to get my replacements. While in there, I asked for the manager and showed her a video of the bowl I received with the old fruit. She had a stoic expression that never changed. She wasn't friendly at all. In fact, one of the workers were more apologetic than Madison. I redeemed a free smoothie from the app and got a chance to see with my own eyes, the way food was prepared. PSA: If you were in the drive through at 3:52 PM on Wednesday, April 10th and you received two bowls, just know that Madison made those after touching the register and glass window and with the same gloves, dug into the containers that held the ingredients with that same glove and put it on your bowls. She used a scoop for somethings, but with those same gloves, patted down everything. So should you get a stomach bug, thank Madison for those unsanitary practices. Now, I am forever good on visiting this location, and should I ever desire to visit a different store, I'll be going inside to be sure they aren't contaminating my food. One good thing came out of this experience, I purchased all the ingredients to make my own Acai bowls, which is healthier and better, so kudos for pushing me towards making my own!
