I recently took my 2024 Tesla Model 3 Performance to 68 Auto Detail, and I couldn't be more impressed with their customer service and quality of work. The tinting job was excellent. 68Auto did a remarkable job on it. I originally wanted to give a solid gold 5*, but after careful inspection and the weekly interior cleaning of my model 3, I found several concerning discrepancies, which I described above. I also took pictures of all of them and will post them along with the review. I'm concerned about the strap of the rear trunk lid. If it broke by accident when 68auto was working on it or it was taken and replaced with another Tesla's broken trunk lid due to the fact that the strap had screws in them, which, is obviously not OEM. Its a big plus that they are one of the few auto detailer that carries Formula One tint, but I don't think I will come back here after how my brand new model 3 was treated. read more

Llumar Platinum Full Front PPF (hood, fender, bumper, mirror caps) on 2021 Civic Type R This is a shop that cuts their PPF out of official templates. That means you get a great price and they work fast, but that means that they don't generally cut custom sizes to be able to wrap around the edges and hide the lines (If you're looking for that, just ask; they might, but I didn't know about this so I didn't ask). It's also virtually impossible for them to accidentally cut your paint. For what that is, they do a great job and will take care of you and re-install if it's not perfect. Example: 1 month in, the PPF got hit by a deep rock chip that penetrated the self healing layer. They replaced it for free. Speaking of self healing layer, I love how when I get to washing the front of the car, I don't have to worry about putting in swirls so I can get it clean really quick. 6 months later and I still fully appreciate that I have this. read more

WOW! I had reservations about getting PPF + Ceramic coating initially, especially with the high cost for Tesla vehicles. But I am SOOO glad I did. 68 Auto Detail did FANTASTIC work and it's so glossy and pristine, despite putting it through long dusty and bugged-out road trips. I know this doesn't add financial value to the car, but definitely protects my emotional value and peace of mind. Henry was extremely accommodating, answering all my questions and concerns, as this was my first PPF experience. Henry was communicative even after business hours and on weekends. I was not expecting such service, but he went above and beyond, exceeding all expectations. For my Tesla Model Y, I went with full PPF, Ceramic Coating (includes all exposed areas such as wheels and plastic trim), and chrome deletion (satin black replacements of the Tesla emblems and Dual Motor). All water bubbles dried/fixed itself within a day. Aside from Tesla factory defects, the job was immaculate. It took less than a business week to have the work done. A few weeks after the initial install (after a fishing trip and multiple road trips) I brought back my car for a car wash They washed the car inside and out, and performed a water test to ensure that that every inch of the car was properly hydrophobic, meaning that the ceramic coat cured well and is working as expected. You can choose to do the back windows, front side windows, and/or front windshield. Most people use 35% with the second most common one being 50% (lower numbers means darker color and more sun protection). For the front windshield, most people do blue 80% to protect against UV. I would absolutely recommend taking any vehicle you have for tinting! I got my car tinted today and it is amazing experience! From start to finish, I have nothing but great things to say. They were quick with my Tesla Model Y 2023 for windshield tints and I did say they didn't need to clean the car after they were done because I like specifically cleaning it in a way that I like but dang they actually left it not clean after lol muddy foot print and all but that was my fault haha. Anyway the window tint was amazing but had a visibly ugly huge lint in the driver side middle corner, which was in my driving view. I could live with it but having attention to detail problems, it kept bugging me. I kept looking at it when driving so it was dangerous for me so I brought it up with them and they offered to replace it to get the job done right the next time. Scheduled quickly and went on my way. Came in scheduled day, replaced right away within 3-4 hours and this time I didn't say anything about NOT cleaning the car so they cleaned the car, which came out very shiny and new! Yay! This time the window tint was perfect and is well. There's a bubble of water at the very center of the window tint so hopefully it goes away within a week... but it doesn't bother me since it's in the middle of the car, not in eye sight. One would expect quality and professional work when paying a premium. The reality is I paid a premium and received amateur work. Timeline of events: - Deposit provided on March 7 (50% cost) - Contact 68Autodetail (Henry) 1 month prior to the scheduled drop-off day - Vehicle was dropped off on the morning of June 2 for full color change - Inozetek metallic blueberry (Quoted Service time 7-10 working days) ~ I was in the area the following week and noticed the vehicle was untouched for 3 business days (A total of 5 days including the weekend) ~ June 9th comes around and no communication or updates from Henry ~ On June 13th, I called for an update. I was told the vehicle would be ready on the 14th ~ June 14th, no call, so I called in the evening and was told the car was not ready ~ June 16th, the vehicle was picked up after the completion - A few hours pass after pickup, the vehicle was left outside to assist in the vinyl setting ~Problems noted: ~ Partially PPFed front lip (Request was to black ppf the lip) ~ Lifting on all 4 door handles ~ Scrub mark from a ramp on the lower bumper ~ Bubbling on nearly all radius and corners ~ Poorly cut straight lines on door jambs ~ Broken grill emblem (There was no reason to touch the grill emblems - still waiting on a replacement) ~ Bumper hardware sitting in the cup holder (They tried to claim the hardware was already in the cup holder. I removed the belly pan before their work to help with the bumper removal process. A total of 8 screws were left in the cup holder on my part.) ~ Partially wrapped side skirts ~ Adhesive lines and overstretched material on the trunk lid from improper application ~ Side skirts partially wrapped ~ Hood contained minor lifting on the creases --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- - The vehicle was returned in late June to repair the above issues. Turns out they only had enough material to fix the hood, front bumper, and front quarter panels. ~ Henry mentioned they had to rewrap the hood multiple times and ran out of vinyl. ~ The vehicle was picked up a few(3-4) days later. ~ I noticed my windshield washer sprayers were not working. Turns out my washer fluid hose was damaged or cut during the hood vinyl install. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- - The vehicle was returned in the middle of July for the rear of the vehicle wrap issues ~ Since they ordered vinyl, I asked if they had ordered the same batch of material. For background context, when vinyl is printed, the shade of the color changes throughout batches. They claimed the batch was the same; however, the vinyl had a different shade. ~ A few days later, the vehicle was picked up. ~ Problem noted after a few hours of pickup (The vehicle was parked in the sun per Henry's instruction): ~ Side skirts partially wrapped ~ Side skirt begins sagging in the rear. This is partially due to the body shop improperly bonding the side skirts ~ Bubbling return on the arches ~ Cut marks within the door jams ~ Slight color mismatch --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- -The vehicle was returned in early August to again have the quarter panels redone and other small areas. ~ I dropped in a week later and was told they were busy and hadn't had the time to work on practicing their vinyl install and was told they would be done later in the week. ~ I dropped in 1.5 weeks later to find the car was in the same state. Henry mentioned he was going to begin to work on the car this week. I request to strip the car and provide me a refund at this point, as it appears Im not being treated as a customer no longer at this point. Henry refused and stated he needed one more chance. ~ At the 2-week mark I returned to pick up the vehicle. After inspecting the vehicle I found the following: ~ Lifting within the door jams ~ Trunk bumper bubbling ~ Undercut vinyl ~ Cut paint At this point in time, I want a refund my vehicle is not a test piece. I am willing to strip/remove the vehicle vinyl myself. I have consulted with another Inozetek shop and they mentioned a few issues with the current installation, including adhesive lines and overstretched material. Final remarks: - Post heat and post heat again to remedy any vinyl memory - Have attention to detail in ones work - Don't cut corners to make a car look good only on the surface. - Do not offer a service or material if your team isn't experienced with the product. read more

Shawn has his shop focus on customer service but he's also very knowledgeable about his cars, especially Teslas. Henry (shop mgr) also speaks clear and provides great service as well. I packaged a bunch of different services for my Tesla MS after previously taking other cars to their shop for detailing. I went with ceramic coating, paint protection film, tint and chrome delete/blackout. Their prices are very competitive in the Bay Area. Tint job was great. Cuts were clean and no residual bubbles/solution mixtures (I have tint from OTHER very popular locations in the BA and the drying of the solution affects clarity). PPF (Llumar, similar to Suntek) was cut and installed clean. Chrome delete has nice film from a cosmetic standpoint. I spotted a lift in one area that they said will be fixed during my next visit (so I can make sure the rest of the install cures appropriately over time and I'm happy). It's not a big deal to me as they have always taken care of their customers and they didn't hesitate or give me the "not my fault" reasonings. (For Tesla's Liftgate applique, they didn't wrap the 'TESLA' letters but I prefer this constrast. Let them know if this isn't what you want) Cermaic Pro Silver still drips water like brand new wax, 4-months later (several washes). Any pictures can hide flaws and make a car look good but I think 68 Auto made my photos and car look great. You should see it in person! Big investment but not for long-term car. I stumbled upon this place when searching for an auto detailer yesterday. I'm very over protective of my car when it comes to others doing work on it. Especially since this was going to be the first car wash for my car since I got it. But upon reading other reviews about other car owners like me, saying that they trust this place and the work quality is awesome..I decided to give his place a try. I never used the "request a quote" on Yelp before, so that was a first for me and to my surprise, I saw that Shawn (the business owner) replied pretty fast although I wasn't able to catch the message until today due to me being at work and being exhausted when I got home last night. I messaged back apologizing for missing the message and missing the time he gave me if I wanted to come in at 10am. I asked if he still had openings for the rest of the day and Shawn gladly accommodated me and told me to come as soon as I could. (Talk about awesome customer service) Upon arrival, I was greeted by Henry and he already knew what I wanted done to my car which was pretty cool! And he gladly let me know that there were two options for waxing my car. One they apply after the wash which lasts just a few months for $40 I believe, and another one they apply on top of the first one that will last 6 months for $60. Since this was the first wash for my car, I got the $60 service with the two coats of wax. (The service I chose for my car was just an exterior wash and detail by the way) The waiting room was pretty cool. They had water, coffee, tea, and free wifi for customers and the location is close by Las Vegas Taqueria. Haha. So if you're hungry, it's a short walk. When they were done with my car, I was just taken away with how clean and shiny and CLEAN it looked. I was so excited and happy. It looked like the day I got my car, if not even better. Haha. I quoted 3 shops to have the chrome delete (vinyl wrap) done on my Audi. One was way more expensive, one very slow to respond and so based on their good reviews I chose 68 Auto Detail. They responded quickly with a reasonable price and got me in a few days later. Henry showed me some of their work in the parking lot as I dropped it off and it all looked great. When I picked up my car, I inspected the now gloss black trim (mirror caps, window frames, sills etc.) it looked like OEM parts with no visible flaws. Quality is excellent and they guarantee their work so no reason to pay big bucks at a large shop. Do not let Super-Henry even look at your car! He may just make it perfect. Had car fully detailed, with emphasis on some massive bird residue(hosed right off when it happened, but still left a brownish stain on/thru the Opticoat-see pics) and some pretty bad rub-off on the fender. Too bad dont have pics, but my trustworthy word should be enough. Trust me, it looked bad, deep rub-off. So brought it back to Dr. Henry and Invisible Ninja Shawn. Needless to say, car was brought to perfection again. Very time effective, just in time for the rain, I'm not even kidding. Can't believe I'm paying these guys money, i should pay them gold. read more

I love the look of the tint on my car after they washed it. I got 35% on the front, 20% everywhere else. Good for upcoming summer. read more

This place is not just detailing. They have SO MUCH MORE... Tinting at the highest grade (have the highest grade tint), ceramic wrapping, rims, ALIGNMENT, window crack repair, car rental. I believe they have more stuff I dont even know about. besides plethora of services they treat you like family. I hate getting my car worked on, its such a hassle to drop cars off and deal with bad service.. I enjoy going here b/c I know i'll get taken care of.. These people go above and beyond to make you feel like family. read more

Great experience with this shop today.... I'm visiting from out of town with my AMG Mercedes and needed to get a cost effective and quick detail of the exterior for a car event/show I'm in tomorrow. I drove from Lake Taboe during a snow storm in my car and if you know what that's like; then you can imagine how disgusting the exterior was. With 20 minutes notice, they squeezed me in, and got my car polished and cleaned up within an hour. Couldn't have really asked for much more woth 20 minutes notice; an hour before they close... The quality and professionalism they provided for such a simple job makes me feel extremely confident that they would go above and beyond for a larger job. Thanks! read more

Still giving these guys 5 stars. I brought our Subaru Ascent in here for tint and gold ceramic coating. Turned out better than expected. Incredibly pleased again.
