My husband and I did a 2 week honeymoon all around Italy and this was the best meal of our trip. WOW. The seafood is the best we have ever had and the chef and owner, Rami, is our new best friend. Do not miss this restaurant if you are in Venice. It was so good, we had to go back for a second time!!!!! 10/10!!!!

I found Alla Corte because their sister restaurant, A Le Tole, was closed. By the end of my meal, I was glad I got to try something new, but matching the same quality as A Le Tole. The interior is much more spacious, and feels somehow both upscale and home style at once. The dark wood finishes are inviting, while the cool jazz sets the tone. The staff is very friendly in a genuine way, which is refreshing in a place like Venice where some people are either over the top friendly in a way that makes you feel like you're being sold to, or, the opposite, sick and tired of tourists. I felt very comfortable at my table, and generally as though I were taking a break from the madness outside. Your meal at Alla Corte, should you choose the fettuccini ragu, starts with the sound of pasta swimming tightly around your fork. It's the most seductive sound pasta can make, and gets your mouth salivating before you've even taken a bite. And then you do take a bite, and it's everything you hoped it would be and more - hints of orange, a touch of dill, all uplifting the taste of duck without detracting from the phenomenal taste and texture of the pasta itself. It's a hearty meal, but perfectly portioned so that you feel full without feeling heavy. A fantastic meal made by experts who love what they serve. Oh, and the bread is the best I had in Venice. Like a slightly chewy, warm, cloud.

Lobster pasta and shrimp pasta (do not remember the menu name)

The food was good. It wasn:'t slow. And it was too noisy. Very good overall, would recommend it to you.

Wonderful atmosphere with amusing live music. Food is excellent and the price is reasonable! Truffle is a great bonus of the night!

Each dropped their fork at some point during the dinner and the manager came by out of nowhere to provide a new fork!

Lots and lots of restaurants to choose from in Venice but this unassuming restaurant is a true gem…read more It's easy to miss as it's tucked in a corner right by a bridge. Once inside they have a couple tables with small window views of any gondolas passing by. We started off with a plate of lightly fried sardines topped with pickled white onions. The fry on the fish was super light and those vinegar-y onions were the perfect pairing. We cleaned that plate. The lasagna was well balanced with the meat, sauce, cheese. The squid ink pasta was chewy/al dente with a subtle touch of seafood flavors giving the cuttlefish. It was very umami but nothing too overbearing. Delicious! It's a Family business that was been around for many years. Grazie to the friendly staff and chef!

I am so sad to give this restaurant such a poor rating after visiting many times during the last 20…read moreyears and loving it before. The jovial mood with the waiters with big personalities is gone. The menu you can find online is no longer available so you get a very limited menu to choose from--nearly entirely seafood. So if you have anyone in your party that just wants pasta with a red meat sauce or a non seafood lasagne, not available. We were a party of 8. Two people ordered the scallop appetizers. Pretty presentation on shells. 3 tiny scallops in the shells. More like an amuse bouche. Totally disappointing. The linguine with clams as an entree had clams so small you almost needed a magnifying glass to see them. Couldn't taste the clams and annoying to try to eat something so tiny , and just try to eat the pasta with all those tiny shells. The baby shrimp on polenta was actually good. But again the shrimp were like tiny hatchlings tempura battered. Tasted okay except for those that were soggy from the polenta that was very soupy. I wanted the gnocchi with crab which was on the very limited menu but no longer available. The alternative was gnocchi with a sea bass sauce which I chose but didn't like at all. The gnocchi were good but the sauce wasn't at all for me. We had to continue to ask for side dishes for the bread, butter, olive oil, salt and pepper. We will not return. Poor value for your money. Plus there is a cover charge and service included in your bill which was a surprise. Very sad to see our favorite Venetian restaurant decline so much.
