When we walked in there was no one to seat us for almost 8 minutes and several servers walked by and didn't even acknowledge us. We were starting to discuss other options when someone showed up to seat us. At this location, there is a partial wall with booth seating on one side and the kitchen on the other. They may want to enclose that completely as the noise from the kitchen was a distraction from our conversations. I chose the Spicy beef garlic noodles and a mango margarita. The margarita had salt, not sugar, on the rim and the beef was over cooked

They have a beautiful outdoor patio, but it was a bit warm for a Midwest girl on my visit. I had the El Plebe and Taco el Campo as well as a classic margarita. They also brought each of a small cup of beans when we sat down. That was comfort food in styrofoam. Service started out strong but as it got busier, our server was a little less attentive. The foot-long quesadilla blended tender carne asada, two cheeses, onions, spices and other flavors into a buttery, crispy tortilla. Absolutely delicious! I also loved the atmosphere, they had the World Cup playing and it added to the good vibes.

I was waited on pretty quickly, I think the waiter was just waiting to see where I settled. My waiter Aaron was friendly and attentive, and *tried to suggest something. The problem was, there were too many things I wanted to try! I settled on the fried oysters with a side of cajun fries. The oysters had a delicious seasoning and were well cooked. My only complaint was I felt they had too much breading to appreciate the oyster inside. Again, the breading was delicious - just too much. You get about 10 oysters. The fries were well seasoned as well, and quite plentiful. For dessert I had the caramel banana pie. It looked delicious, but for me, it was just too over the top. For the expense, I certainly would not order again. Speaking of "expense", this place is more in the "medium" price range and not something I would go to on a regular basis for lunch. It was good, and definitely maybe more of a dinner spot. Nice change of pace kind of place!

First off, the food was great--no complaints there at all. However, the service left a lot to be desired. The staff seemed rushed and didn't always take the time to fully listen to us. Our waiter took our drink and appetizer order, and everything initially came out fine. But while placing items on the table, one of our drinks (a specialty lemonade with no free refills) was knocked over. No one offered to replace it right away. Paper towels were placed on the table, but my kids and I ended up cleaning the spill ourselves. When we asked about replacing the drink, we were then told it would be on the house--which was appreciated--but it didn't arrive until most of the main meals had already been served. To make matters worse, the waiter left the replacement drink on an empty table across from us, and I had to get up to retrieve it myself. On top of that, I had to wait an additional five minutes for my meal because it had apparently been given to another table. Then our waiter asked if we would like dessert. My husband responded that we weren't sure, but we might order something for our daughter. The waiter acknowledged this and said he would be back shortly. However, when he returned about 10-15 minutes later, he brought us the receipt instead. We had to remind him that our daughter wanted dessert. He then took the receipt back, said he'd be right back, and hurried away. Our waiter seemed nice, just very rushed, even though the section only had about six tables and was split. Overall, great food, but the service experience took away from what was meant to be a special occasion. Then my husband was checking the payment options and the waiter had the wrong meals on the wrong tables.... We get this could have been a off day we get it my husband used to be in the food and beverage industry....but geez. Food awesome service leaves more to be desired.
