I usually get the mint lemonade but decided to try the lychee martini this trip. Very tasty but a bit sweet. I got the pork yakisoba with teriyaki sauce and the portion size perfect to fill me up. I went with my husband and nephew in the new Red Miso restaurant (which used to be 570 Ramen). The ramen is delicious (I got the miso ramen with char siu pork). My husband got the yakisoba with grilled chicken, and my nephew got the original broth ramen with pork belly. We all enjoyed our food, and the servings are very generous! Went here for dinner. It's much like a Chinese Food take-out/dine-in restaurant, but Japanese. For a first timer - the menu was simple yet complicated. Ended up getting the Braised Pork Yakisoba Noodles. Service was a little slow, as I could only see one chef/cook working the food tickets (unlike a Chinese Food restaurant where there are 3-4 cooks manning the cooking pots) - but the cooking area is small. IDK. The food itself was very good. BUT they didn't have a "Hot" (spicy) dish. I had to add chili oils and Sriracha sauce after the fact. Food: The ramen we ordered was Shiyo Ramen, the egg was normal and not marinated in soy sauce. The broth taste good but don't expect to be that tasty. We mixed soy sauce and chili oil to have more kick. It was kind of weird having carrots and broccoli in it tho. The highlight of this ramen was the meat! The meat was so tender (Chasu). We also ordered the marinated beef bowl. It was okay, we did add some condiments and chili oil to get more flavor in it. Service was no organized system, reason why I said that was they gave you your receipt without number and told us that we will be called. This is the biggest shame and disrespect I've seen on Japanese Cuisine in North America yet. Nothing here is even close to true authentic Japanese Ramen. Giving people in NEPA the impression that this is "ramen" is not only a disservice but a total sham. No one in Japan eats anything that even closely resembles this. It's great to find a quality ramen spot in Eastern PA. I stopped in for lunch and had the beef yakisoba. It was delicious though the serving size of steak was on the smaller side given the price ($18 w/fountain drink). Everything was cooked very well and the flavors were great, though I do wish they added a bit more teriyaki sauce. Overall a great option in the area. Will be back for sure. read more

Staying at a hotel for work as was very excited to have a ramen place so close to my hotel. Ordered the vegetable ramen and was so disappointed to discover the vegetable "broth" was Luke warm water... I've been a chef for 20 years and can honestly say even a half assed attempt at a vegetable broth for ramen could easily be accomplished with only a few ingredients, however this was literally luke warm clear water with absolutely no flavor of anything that could be called "ramen broth." Thank god I grabbed 2 packets of soy sauce and a soufflé cup of hot sauce or I'd be eating cold noodles and raw vegetables in water. You have to be kidding me. read more

There is enough for 2 people so I recommend sharing with your significant other or you will have enough for a day 2 lunch. There was plenty of veggies and a hefty portion of pork belly scattered throughout the dish. There was ample rice - but it did not overpower the entree. They even included an "over easy" fried egg in the corner. All in all I really enjoyed this dish. It reminded me of an Asian stir fry - so this may appeal to those who wrinkle their nose at the mention of Raman noodles. I thought the price was right as well. The only hesitation is the location - but realize they can't do much about that. It's a madhouse over in DC during dinner time which adds stress to the pickup process. My wife works nearby, so we decided to stop by one day when we were shopping in Dickson City. The service was friendly and the restaurant was pretty clean. The menu is fairly simple and straight-forward: salad, rice, or noodles + add-ins. My wife got the veggies w/ yakisoba and I decided to try two dishes: shio ramen w/ char siu + marinated sliced beef sukiyaki bowl. All of the ingredients were fresh and my wife loved her entire dish. The sukiyaki bowl was DELICIOUS and would definitely get it again. I was a little disappointed in the ramen noodles, because they seemed a little undercooked and were stuck in a clump at the bottom of the bowl. The add-ins tasted great and the broth was ok (I felt like it was one or two ingredients away from being great), but I was still disappointed in the noodles. Overall, I would recommend giving this place a shot, especially if you like rice and/or yakisoba bowls. read more

The biggest downer was the broth legit tasted like it came from a box of chicken stock. I couldn't taste a drop of miso! I had to season everything with chili oil, salt, and pepper. Been missing ramen and had high hopes. Sadly, not met. They have some basic choices but deviate from traditional ramen. To be honest it tastes like a college student kitchen. Tastes like instant ramen with broccoli and carrots added. Grilled pork cut up and thrown in the broth. The broth tastes like it came out of a package instead of being made in house. Noodles are instant vice even recently made or bought to be added to ramen. Eggs are over done, the addition of nonstandard vegetables, and lack of the usual additions that are found in a ramen shop make it a no go for me in the future. I know I have high standards for ramen after living in Japan and Hawaii for a long period of time, but if you are going to do something do it well. If the choice is here or another place to eat, sadly I have to say keep moving past. read more
