Finally got to sit and enjoy the iced banana bread latte (yum!!!) & tried a pepperoni slice (sourdough NY style). Great pizza slice! Would definitely try again or try another type. I know my family wants to order a whole pie soon! I got 6 donuts to go... caramel apple fritter, maple pecan glaze & Neapolitan glaze. Haven't tried the latter, but the fritter & maple donuts got rave reviews 10/10. A gem of a spot in Hamilton!!! Service is friendly! Several tables available for dine-in.

Good idea to have a date night special for food and games: by the time Friday comes around we're usually too lazy to cook because we're exhausted! What better place to unwind, playing board games on the huge tables is most convenient but the smaller tables are more cosy. Nice selection of games too and good advice about what games to play and HOW to play them! I like it that they added some local games / locally designed games, nice touch. Oh yeah and try the floats too.

There's also parking on site which is a plus! My go-to is usually the Unicorn Half & Half (half milkshake, half ice cream), which is topped with cotton candy, nerds, rainbow sour strips. The ice cream used is bubble gum! If you're not interested in their options listed, you can always creat your own! For the piece, you do get a large serving as well. Their paninis are also delicious! I love their Doritos Chicken Panini ($6.99). It is one of my favourites and is something I'd recommend trying.

AMBIANCE: (4/5) The restaurant has expanded since I've been there last. There is much more seating in the back and they added a picture wall that you can use to take IG-worthy photos with your dessert. The lighting is soft but bright which also makes it a great place to hang out The front of the store is getting a little haggard. FOOD: (3/5) The sizes of the icecream scoops here are crazy. I absolutely love how much they give you - matching the price point in terms of quantity. 1. Oreo Icecream Sundae: This sundae was gi-normous and looked soo good - with whip cream, chocolate drizzle, and oreo cookies lining the cup. However, it was a little unsatisfactory. The 'oreo' icecream they used had basically no oreo in the mix. The icecream itself was bland (???). 2. Pralines & Cream: I LOVE pralines & cream. The kiddy scoop I got was so worth it. The icecream was creamy and thick. Exactly like the ones at Purdy's (my absolute favorite) but at a better price. SERVICE: (3/5) The service wasn't SPECTACULAR but was not lacking. The counter stretches around to the convenience store as well, so they service both. The icecream came out 8'ish minutes after we ordered (only 2 people in front of us) - which may be an issue in the summer time as it gets busier. OVERALL: (3.5/5) This is a store you come back at least once a year just because their pics look so good on Instagram & if you don't want to trek uptown to Biggies Icecream.

The Cannon is a coffee shop that offers a selection of sit down brunch options. Upon entering we were immediately greeted with a friendly smile from the barista at the counter. The interior is beautifully lit with natural light as the floor to ceiling windows allow for tons of light. The food was excellent, and I mean excellent. I had poached egg, with bacon and a waffle. It was so good. My mouth is salivating just thinking about it. My girlfriend had the salmon with avocado and waffle. That too was amazing. She had a cappuccino and the barista had done a very nice milk art. For me, since I dont drink coffee I had the organelle mango juice. Again, it was more than exceptional. Oh, along with the meal, they bring over Dawson's hot sauce and syrup. I had a taste of smoke bbq chipotle and instantly put over the bacon eggs and waffles. I couldn't leave without purchasing a bottle for myself. It was so good. If ever I'm in Hamilton again, I would definitely go here again.

Even though this is primarily a coffee bar, I am firmly in my matcha era right now, so that's what I went for. It was pretty decent, and I really liked that they use ceremonial grade matcha. I don't want to rate the place unfairly since I didn't actually try their coffee this time around, but based on the vibe, I would definitely go back to try a latte next time.
