Getting a ride through the app was quick and easy, I only had to wait about five minutes for the driver to arrive at my location. The car was clean and comfortable, the driver was very polite, friendly and professional. We engaged in pleasant conversation throughout the short trip. Not all rides have been four stars, but I will average with some three stars. I can't say I've ever had a ride that warrants a full 5. My recent out of Norfolk International to Home worked very well. The car was clean, the driver was nice and no hitches. The price was around $2 cheaper than my normal taxi fee. I tipped off the app. I have used both Lyft and Uber with similar good results. My wife and I returned to Norfolk that morning after a five‑day Carnival cruise. It was raining heavily when we disembarked. Your driver, Richard Oden, informed us beforehand that he would meet us across the street from the Carnival cruise terminal, and he was indeed parked there when we arrived. However, he remained parked across a four‑lane road in severe rain rather than pulling up to the designated drop‑off/pick‑up area where he originally dropped us off at the start of our trip. I walked toward him and signaled for him to come over, but he did not move the vehicle. I also attempted to call the company to notify him that we were ready for pickup, but no one answered the phone. As a result, my wife and I were forced to walk across the street in the pouring rain, carrying multiple pieces of luggage while navigating morning traffic. The driver did not exit the vehicle to assist us until we reached the car, and even then, he only opened the trunk. He provided no help with our luggage and offered no assistance until after we were already soaked. He did give us a small towel once we were inside the vehicle, but by that point the damage was done. This experience was extremely disappointing and far below the level of professionalism your company claims to provide. Based on this incident, I will not be using Horseless Carriage Limousine again. Additionally, companies such as Uber offer the same trip at a significantly lower cost and with far better service. I expect acknowledgment of this complaint and an explanation for the unacceptable conduct displayed by your driver.
