Here is my 50 Floor review It's really a quite clever scam that 50 floor has going. How it works. They get a slick sales guy out to give you an "estimate". This guys sole role is to sell you an overpriced floor. They will promise the world just to get you to sign. They use this common gimmick where they show you one price which is really high and then show you a special discounted price which is actually still really high. Mine was comical. "Original price $23,000 but today only it will be $13,000". That's for about 1000 sf of flooring. I should have bailed then as I hate these shady sales tactics. Either way, onto the floor install. What 50 floor does is contract the labor out to someone else, they basically don't do anything but sell you the floor. In my case it was 3 laborers on the first day and then only 2 on the second day. The first day of the install one of the guys spoke perfect English, by the second day when I tried to convey some concerns to the same individual they could no longer speak English. Maybe this is how they avoid extra work? Fast forward a couple of days and I start to notice some really shoddy work. Stuff that they would have known was not properly done left for me to find days later. I decide I'm going to call up 50 floors and let them know about the the issues, they ask for me to send pics of the aforementioned shoddy work so I happily oblige. They tell me they can have the installers come back out, great. After that they ghosted me and stopped responding. So here I am left already fixing shoddy work a week after I pay these guys $13,000. Thanks 50 floor!

I was getting estimates through Yelp and by phone, for various types of flooring. I found 50 Floor via a social media site's advertising. We had already had two estimates from two other competitors, one for the Coretec Plus Herringbone I had my heart set on, the other for the vinyl plank. Jason called me earlier in the week to set up the appointment for Friday, May 6, with Joe Correa. Joe showed up today, on time, after calling to confirm the ETA. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and I was relieved to find out he has been doing this for well over four decades. My husband and I pummeled him with questions as he showed us quite a few samples, and he had thorough answers for each of our queries. He also explained why they don't do the Coretec, and the advantages and disadvantages/durability of each type of flooring we were considering. We ended up choosing a medium "wood" knotty-look. I took some pics of some of the samples, since I liked the lighter, or the very dark, and my husband liked the medium the best. Will update the review after they come to do our living room, master bedroom, office and hallway. He said they would have the work done in about two days. The rest of our house is already tiled and we want rid of the carpet to make it easier to clean/better on allergies. We were able to get 0% interest for one year, which is something I felt I could live with. The other available option was 9% interest (through Wells Fargo) if paid off in several years (over 60+ months).

My original floor on the 7/22/24top of picture, 50floor on the bottom. Not even close to matching

Overpriced flooring and crickets when you try to get in touch with them. Paid $6700 for one room of flooring that doesn't match their samples.

4 stars??? I have never made a purchase like this before…read more I visited The Carpet Store because I was buying carpet for a Townhouse I had under contract. I wanted the carpet installed immediately after I closed . I went to The Carpet Store to pick out and purchase carpet. I went early on a Saturday morning. This place is a warehouse not really a "store". Several people were available to help fairly quickly. One to take the plans I brought in and attempt to measure, the other to help us select carpet. I did not know what I was getting myself into because I had no idea there were so many options and the entire process was confusing. From which brand, which material, which padding and the most difficult decision, which color... I was not prepared but I knew I was making a decision that day. Two hours later, I knew a bit more about carpet and padding and stain resistance, etc. We put down a $1000 deposit so they would make an appointment to measure which was scheduled the next week, once they measured, the carpet was ordered and took about a week and half to come in. Long story short, we did not close on the Townhouse and were refunded $750 of the $1000 deposit that was for approximately $3000 worth of carpet. We have about 6 months to use the $250 credit. I am giving 4 stars because this was a difficult process and I have nothing to compare to. The Carpet Store did a pretty good job helping us through it he process. I think!

I get a call from the carpet store telling me later that my tile is not available. This is the last thing you want to hear when time is of the essence. Perhaps it was due to the crisis that the tile didn't make it in time. Who knows! I was told I'd hear back with an alternative that closely resembled the original, never heard back. I'll give them a 3 star rating for the initial service I got from them, but this was a big time waster for me.

I had my floors redone in January of 2022 and now have had water coming up through the foundation from under the planks. Turns out they did not put down a subflooring liner prior to installing the luxury vinyl planks - I was told that in 2022, it was not required to put a subfloor down as it is now. In the instructions, it was recommended for high moisture installations. Given that I live in FL and my house is right next to a lake, that would make this a high moisture installation and they should have put one down. But according to them, they were not required to do that so they ignored the warning and had no care for the customer. I had a separate floor company come out to check it out. He said it was installed incorrectly and that they should have put the subfloor down regardless of it being required or not. The water that is coming up is from hydrostatic pressure in the foundation, which is very common in FL and also this area of town given the bodies of water/humidity. Recently they had someone come to the house to do an "assessment" and found that basically the whole floor needs to be replaced. When I asked for a copy of the assessment they won't provide me with one as per "company policy" but then also couldn't tell me why that policy is in place. After all of that, they offered to replace the floors as a paid service with a discount (LOL NO TY). I will be contacting a lawyer about this. I repeat - DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY!!!!! I mean, if you want half-baked work, then these are the people you should call but keep in mind, you'll have more work to be done later on because of them.

Dispute Statement - Carpet Barn…read more This dispute concerns carpet installation services performed by Carpet Barn for my home in Odessa, Florida (Home #2). On February 9, 2026, my wife and I purchased a new home in New Port Richey, Florida (Home #1). We hired Carpet Barn in Tampa, Florida, to replace the carpet. Pat handled the sale. We selected a carpet that was in stock and specifically requested their best carpet pad, which Pat described as an 8 lb pad. The total price was $3,700, and the installation was completed without any issues. Because we were very satisfied with that experience, we later contacted Pat to carpet our home in Odessa, Florida (Home #2), which we were preparing to sell. We selected a less expensive carpet than we had installed in Home #1 but specifically requested the same 8 lb premium pad. Pat initially quoted $6,500. Since we wanted to delay the project while catching up on other expenses, my wife returned the carpet sample. During that visit, Pat offered to reduce the total price to $5,900, stating that business was slow. Before accepting the offer, I specifically confirmed that we would still receive the same premium 8 lb pad used in Home #1. Pat confirmed this multiple times. She also confirmed that the quoted price included all taxes and fees. Approximately one week later, after confirming again that the premium pad would be installed, I placed the order. Pat initially requested a $1,000 deposit, but later agreed to accept $500, which I paid by credit card. A few weeks later, Pat called to schedule installation. Before the installation, I again confirmed that the premium 8 lb pad would be installed, and she again assured me it would. After installation began, Pat informed me that Carpet Barn had incorrectly measured the house and was two rooms short of carpet. She stated that additional carpet had been ordered from the same dye lot and would be installed later at no additional charge. Despite the project being incomplete, she requested the remaining $5,400 balance, which I paid by credit card. The measurement error delayed the sale of my home. When I inspected the installation, I discovered numerous problems: The installation quality was significantly worse than the work performed at Home #1. The installers damaged multiple door casings and trim. Black handprints were left on freshly painted walls. Numerous carpet seams throughout the home were highly visible. Carpet had been unnecessarily pieced together in multiple areas. Most importantly, Carpet Barn installed a lower-quality carpet pad instead of the promised 8 lb premium pad. Because two rooms had not yet been completed, I was able to compare the installed padding with the new padding later installed in those rooms. The difference in thickness and feel was obvious. The pad installed throughout most of the home was not the premium 8 lb pad that I had repeatedly requested and been promised. I immediately contacted Pat and explained all of these concerns. She insisted the pad was the same, despite the obvious difference. I told her I believed this was a bait-and-switch because I had confirmed the premium pad multiple times before agreeing to the purchase. I also requested to speak with the owner on three separate occasions. Each time I was told he was unavailable, and although I requested return calls each time, the owner never contacted me. When the additional carpet finally arrived, different installers completed the remaining two rooms. Those installers used the premium pad that I had originally requested, and the difference was immediately noticeable. However, the carpet color in those rooms did not match the rest of the house, despite Pat stating it came from the same dye lot. The installers also stated they would not repair all of the visible seams because they were not being paid to do so. As a result, I was left with: Incorrect carpet padding throughout most of the home. Multiple visible carpet seams. Carpet patches in unnecessary locations. Color mismatch in the final two rooms. Damage to trim, door casings, and walls that required me to pay my painter for repairs. Delays affecting the sale of my home. In addition, despite repeated requests, Carpet Barn never provided signed work orders, signed invoices, or signed credit card receipts for either Home #1 or Home #2. My final attempt to resolve this matter directly with Carpet Barn was on June 1, 2026. Despite multiple requests, the owner never returned my calls or made any effort to resolve these issues. I am disputing these charges because Carpet Barn failed to provide the materials and workmanship that were promised. The installation was substandard, incorrect materials were used, my home was damaged during installation, the final carpet color did not match as promised, and Carpet Barn failed to resolve the matter despite repeated opportunities.

After paying a 50% deposit on July 10, I was told I would be scheduled immediately. That didn't happen. I had to follow up multiple times just to get a start date. Communication was poor and unprofessional, with broken promises and missed callbacks. The crew finally arrived on July 29. The tile was installed with an extremely thin grout line--something I was never asked to approve but chose to accept. They said they would return the next day to grout and then come back the following day to move the heavy furniture back, which was the agreement I had in place with their representative. Instead, they grouted the next day and replaced the furniture less than an hour later, ignoring the recommended 24-hour grout curing time. When I called the project manager, his dismissive response was, "What do you want them to do?" The crew came back to remove the furniture, clearly annoyed, and became argumentative and disrespectful in my home. One even said they used a thin grout line specifically so they could move the furniture sooner. Later, I was contacted by someone in management, Jonny Sibrian, whose tone was equally rude and condescending. I explained I was arranging a third-party inspection to ensure the tile wasn't damaged due to rushed furniture placement or the use of vinegar (an acidic cleaner that can harm uncured grout). Instead of understanding, he accused me--twice--of trying to avoid paying my bill and even made a veiled threat. I've always paid for quality work, and I fully intend to pay the balance if the job passes inspection. But the lack of professionalism, poor communication, and disrespect I experienced with this company were unacceptable. I would not recommend Perfect Choice Flooring to others based on how I was treated or the quality of their work.
