We had a complete kitchen remodel in our new condominium in Lakeland, FL and The Stone Center was responsible for our kitchen design: cabinets, plumbing, electrical, ceiling/lighting, backsplash, tile floors, bar top and granite countertops. I visited the showroom and sales rep Dave Ramsey came to our home to provide professional measurements and 3D design with on site review. He asked questions, offered options, made suggestions and listened to our needs, without "trying to sell" us on the Stone Center. He allowed us several visits in the showroom to select cabinets, flooring, hardware, backsplash, and we picked our own granite slab from their extensive selection. A few days later we were invited back for his presentation on the pricing for the project and final review. Although collectively our selections were slightly over my budget, we decided to change nothing and agree to all our original selections of each product to create our dream kitchen. We contracted on May 31st and began the project on June 24th in our kitchen. We were introduced to our lead contractor Jerry, who was the most professional contractor I have ever worked with. On day one I explained communication is the highest priority with me and he kept me fully involved each day on progress, delays and accomplishments. He exceeded my expectations every day and that he took great pride in his work gave me great satisfaction. Observing him mentor a new handyman (teenage) it was obvious why he is successful! Jerry is a true leader and meticulous in his work. I would recommend more communication from the sales team to customers throughout the remodeling. We found the lack of calls, text or visits from our sales rep for over four weeks disappointing. Our contractor became our point of contact for everything (one wrong cabinet size ordered causing delays, missing hardware/handles causing delays, not enough floor tile ordered, not enough backsplash at first, etc.) The granite fabrication team, led by Jesus, created a fabulous crowning jewel to our kitchen. Every area was perfectly templated, cut, polished and installed. We also purchased a bathroom vanity granite top a few days before kitchen granite was to be installed. Dave Ramsey and The Stone Center was able to accommodate this last minute purchase and have it fabricated and installed the same day as our kitchen granite. On August 6th we finally completed 100% of this project. Although an original four week remodel turned into nearly seven weeks, we are ecstatic with the end result. The Stone Center showroom is located on Edgewood Drive in Lakeland, FL and is a company I would highly recommend for anyone interested in kitchen/bathroom cabinets, ceramic or wood flooring, granite or quartz or marble countertops, or a complete project. On August 12, 2015 I worked at Lowe's. They were doing a reset on our kitchen displays. I was informed by the Store manager that they were going to install new counter tops and they would be selling the existing counter tops. I informed the Store manager that I was interested in buying the existing top. This top was a Quartz counter top (Value $3,300.00). I talked the Store manager and he said he would sell the top to me for $175.00. I told him that before I buy it I wanted to make sure I could get someone to cut it to fit my kitchen. At this point I called Dave Beck at the Stone Center and he said that if I brought it to him he would cut it to fit. He would not have to do any edge work all he would have to do is cut it to size. Once he informed me that he would cut the top I purchased it for $175.00 minus my 10% employee discount Plus tax $11.03. The top cost me $168.53. I had Lowe's help me load the top into my truck and proceeded to bring it to the Stone Center. I brought the top and my template to the Stone Center. Dave Beck told me that he would get to it as soon as he could. I know Dave and I knew I had to be patient. In September I quit working at Lowe's and went to work for the Stone Center. At that time, I found out that Dave had sold my top. I confronted Dave about it and all he could do was laugh. I told him that he owed me $168.53 or another counter top. He said he make it right. Since this time, I have asked him on numerus occasions about getting the money for my top with the same response that he would take care of it. I do not work for the Stone Center anymore and I have still not got my $168.63 back. All I want is the money I spent on this quartz counter top. FYI: The top material was 34 sq. ft. Silestone Quartz. Dave would have sold this for $44.00 a sq. ft. X 34 sq. ft = $1,496.00 and all I want is what I paid. The value at Lowe's for this top $2,346.00 read more

This is our second time using the Stone Center. They did our kitchen counters a few years ago and they remain the pride and joy of our kitchen. They have just now finished porcelain plank tile in our great room; dining room and common walk areas of the house. Additionally they removed the old stone from the face of our fireplace and replaced it with a more modern looking stacked stone. They did some work around our bathroom window as a prelude to a remodel which will take place in a couple of months. We could not be happier with the results. Their subs were prompt, arriving when promised. They were tidy and cleaned the area each day. We cannot give them high enough praise. The quality of the materials and the workmanship are top notch. Perfect Service from beginning to end. The salesman (Jesse ) was superb!!! He made the process easy. Dave gave us wonderful design ideas when he came to our home to template!! The installers were friendly and took great care to clean up after the installation. We now have the kitchen of our dreams and plan to do the bathrooms next. We were hesitant to go to the Stone Center because of some of the negative reviews but neighbors told us the place had been in business over 30 years and was the BEST in town. I had a fantastic experience with the Stone Center! Pamela was very helpful in helping me to choose the countertop and backsplash tile that worked together, plus she guided me on paint colors. Jesus and the crew that installed the countertops were very professional, as were Manny and the crew that hooked up the plumbing and installed the tile backsplash. The process from when I first went there to look at countertops and such until installation only took 2-3 weeks and the install only took 2 days.
