The…read moreexpensive hardware store or the vet next door was in Yelp before this place hahah obviously peoples mind set isn't in the right place lol This steak house is tucked away in an almost one way back street of Mortdale :)! Its close to the pub which only locals stick too & is also really close to the well known Mortdale Bike shed. People probably not aware of this place cause its only open from 12pm on fridays & Saturdays and every other day is open fron 5pm. As soon as you walk into the restaurant you notice all the old school Fire station memorabilia hung up all over the walls :)!! So the the name Fire house Grill is the perfect name for this place :). Was here at the restaurant for a mother's day dinner with the family to beat the hustle & bustle rush of the real mothers day tomorrow :)!! We ordered a mixed entrée with, ribs off the bone, tasty pork belly with a creamy slaw topping, king prawns with a crumbed cheese coating, haloumi cheese, salad with 2 dipping sauces (garlic & tzatziki). For dinner majority had fillet mignone with chips salad and dipping sauce of your choice, i had a oven roasted duck with a tasty salad and mum had the braised beef cheek which tasted a bit over cooked and dry byt all the other maibs were very nice :)!! For dessert 2 people had the mango creme Bruleé which was outstanding, my sister had a perfection sticky date pudding which is never served big enough to satisfy your needs lol & i had a freesh fruit & Cheese platter with a peppermint tea.. the perfect tasty end to a nice dinner night out with the family :)!! Really enjoyed dining at this place.. been here about 4 times now and would recommend it to anyone i know .. and must mention again that while waiting for your food to come out and if you weren't conversing it was really nice to stare around the restaurant & study all the fire house memorabilia they had to offer :)

They also have a store in Qld and a couple of express stores. We visited Hurricanes at their Brighton Le Sands location. Brighton Le Sands is one of the lesser known waterfront dining areas in Sydney. Hurricanes has a prime spot there, right on the waters edge, boasting views of our historical Botany Bay. It also has views of the airport and aeronautical enthusiasts can enjoy planes taking off over the bay. It is spacious venue with floor to ceiling glass to take advantage of the views. It is extremely large with plenty of tables and 2 bars and open plan so you could easily host a large party and they are booked up with 350 people for New Years Eve. We arrived right on noon and it was just opening. We were promptly taken to our table, right at the windows with a lovely outlook. We perused the menu and staff updated us with the daily specials. Hurricanes are famous for their ribs and steaks and they use a unique basting sauce to provide a lovely flavour to their meats. Meat cuts are all halal certified from their suppliers and can have no sauce upon request. They also offer plenty of steaks on the menu, salads and a range of appetisers too. They may not be known first and foremost as a seafood restaurant, but there's plenty of seafood options too. Our visit to Hurricane's saw us try some of these seafood options, beginning with the scallops. Perfectly cooked, the scallops were served in the open shell, atop sweet potato purée, resembling the look of roe. We thoroughly enjoyed this start to the menu. Following on from this, we ordered one of the specials, the grilled whole barramundi. It was soft and flaky, with the flesh falling from the bone. We enjoyed this with lemon and a side salad. We couldn't go past ordering a steak, which Hurricanes are notorious for. There's numerous meats and cuts to select from. Whether it be the rump, strip stirloin, fillet tenderloin or T bone, you will find your perfect match. Wagyu, dry aged or long fed beef, Hurricanes sure know their meats. We went for the dry aged beef, aged for 21 days, served as a strip loin on the bone (400g), the flavour was lovely and it was cooked spot on to our request. Meats come with your choice of fries, salad or baked potato and you can order a sauce to accompany it. Hurricanes also serve other main menu items like beef cheeks, lamb cutlets, pork knuckle, grilled chicken, burgers and more. There's also combo deals like steak and ribs or meat or seafood platters. There's desserts and cocktails to top off your dining experience. The menu is certainly extremely approachable so we imagine it would satisfy any dining party.

Experience authentic traditional Argentine cuisine, in the Stamford hotel by the Sydney airport…read more Decor is welcoming and the atmosphere is inviting. Enjoy watching the culinary art of cooking while you dine. Reservations are good idea although we did not have any and were directed to sit at the bar. After meeting the manager and the chef we were seated at a table. The chef is from Colombia and is excellent! Everything was delicious. The steak was cooked to perfection, charred exterior from the high heat cast iron sear, the meat was rich and melted in your mouth. Vegetables were tender and succulent. The sauces are tasty and the sweet potato fries had the perfect balance of a sweet savory light coating offering that maximizing crunch and fluffy tender interior. Excellent! Would highly recommend this restaurant.

We had questions about the menu, but finally resorted to ordering off the QR code on the table. My husband and I ordered the Waygu Tomahawk steak, medium rare. It came with grilled veggies that were cold but still the start of the show, flavor wise. Our steak was halfway to transitioning to beef jerky. It was laborious to chew, dry, and far from buttery as one would expect of a $160 cut of Waygu. No one asked us how we were enjoying our meal, beyond having the food dropped off no one even acknowledged we exist. Deeply disappointing.

The fake flares out the front should really have alerted me to the quality of this restaurant…read more Although it wasn't my choice, as it was for a friend's birthday. Service was poor on a weekday, so can't imagine what it would be like on a weekend. Being a steakhouse, steak was the main thing people at my table ordered (there was about 8 of us). All those who ordered steak had upset stomachs that night, and didn't dare leave their bathrooms. I ordered the churrasco type dish, with squares of meat hanging on a skewer vertically. It was ok, nothing special. Just grateful I wasn't sick afterwards. Bad service, bad food and exorbitant prices considering. Next time pay attention to tacky décor, it could be what saves you.

Kenny G covers of songs such as "Lady in Red" will soothe your soul as you chow down. The fake flares are a nice touch, which makes me think they should turn it into a real Tiki bar to get a bit more clientele up in the shack. Entree was bacon and cheese stuffed mushrooms. It reminded me of something from the 1970s classic 'The Australian Hostess Cookbook' For the main we decided to share a meat platter. $55 will feed 2 average people and is the most cost effective thing you can buy here. Everything else being in the mid $20 - $30 range. The Pork ribs were great, there was one piece of steak that was marvelous, The lamb had that been in the freezer too long taste which led me to deduct stars from this review. Lamb has gotta be good. This wasnt that great. We foolishly ordered a side of curly fries... more like a bucket. In the end we couldnt eat them because of the meat deluxe experience. A lot of people say this place sucks, but I quite liked it for a bit of Friday night carnivore action.
