This place was so much fun! It is great for groups. As soon as my group entered we were greeted politely and given a quick rundown on how everything works. Instead of hovering around us the staff went off to the side to give us space until we needed them. Then after we were ready we were given more details on the different adventures they offer and they are all creative options. We chose the dragon quest and we were challenged at every turn which kept us on our toes. We will definitely be returning to be apart of another adventure!

Inside the space adventure! It's not a bad photo, I swear, I was trying to keep the surprise of the adventure alive!

So much fun! Escape the room, but before it blew up, I guess, plus the added bonus of it being MUCH more immersive. Clearly geared toward a younger crowd, this seems like a family friendly spot at the mall. Regardless, our group of four ~20 year olds had fun (lol if anything we were still scared, but I'm not sure if that speaks to the level of fear factor in the experience or how completely wimpy we are). Expect to dart back and forth in small rooms a lot, as if you've completely forgotten that you're actually just in a mall in Syracuse and not starring in your own action filled PG-13 movie. There's a deal of 50% off your second adventure, wish we'd taken advantage of that by coming earlier in the day. Staff was great! John (I think) was really welcoming. Judging from his great replies and customer service in the reviews below me, sounds like this man needs a raise @ 5 Wits! Would love to come back to try out the spy adventure next time we drive up to Syracuse!

5 Wits is legit. Go here! Don't hesitate! It is so fun and the space is much larger than you'd imagine from seeing it at the lobby area. I've been to 5 Wits in Albany but the one in Syracuse has one room that the Albany location doesn't: the spy adventures room. This isn't your typical escape room where you're stuck in a single square room and need to find numbers to unlock a bike or locker lock. Instead, it's an interactive themed space with a lot of physical puzzle pieces, voices overheard, moving parts, lights, various rooms you enter, and much more. I'd say this place may be scary for kids under 8. I did the tomb room here, and had already done it in Albany, and was still scared even though I knew exactly what to expect. I've done all the rooms with just 2 people total but it'd definitely be more ideal with a group of 3-4. With more than 4, it'd probably be a lot easier but the challenge is what makes it fun. With 2 people, you might be running around a lot more frantically. I'd definitely recommend saving money by buying the package with the most room options. Each room is drastically different from the next. No puzzle is alike. I much prefer this style of escape rooms over the typical ones you have with combination codes. This is a great option for date night or for kids' birthday parties. They have a side room you can reserve and book parties for. I believe they have pizza packages and balloons. I know that kids in Sherburne come here for field trips.

This is the last room in the Deep Space puzzle. That room is so much fun! Even if you fail the puzzle, it's like a dance party!

My daughter & I have now been through all 4 adventures and I can definitely say we would (probably will) do them all again. They are all awesome in their own way. I would recommend the Dragon Castle for families with younger children if you have to pick just one. If you have the chance to do more, definitely take advantage of any money saving opportunities they have & do them. The Tomb rooms were slightly scary for my 8year old, but not too much. Also, if you're wondering if this is also fun for adults - YES! Each puzzle/escape is multiple rooms with multiple puzzles in each room. Definitely great entertainment, something you'll talk about later!

We managed to play with just us two but it was difficult and we did fail the "Espionage" puzzle for that reason.

For $10 you are given some gloves, a quick run down on getting through the maze, and all the time you want to complete it. Seeming like a simple task, so me and my friends gloved up and charged in. Then, like a blind man at an orgy, I had to feel my way through. I REPEAT, FEEL YOUR WAY THROUGH and take your time. I saw a kid run into one of the dead ends it was not pretty. There are multiple paths to take, and at times I found myself back at the beginning. As vast as the maze seems, I got out to the other side in about 15-20 minutes tops. You can also mix it up, and take the reverse route, or competitively race against others. Be forewarned, after being in the maze for an extended period of time you might feel a bit disoriented! I wish there were lockers or a place to keep items. However, the man at the counter was nice enough to watch the stuff me and my friends bought at the mall. We all got through both paths of the maze for about 45min-1hr. It was a cool experience, but what should I do after all of that? The novelty wears out after a little while. Maybe they will switch up the maze paths or add more real estate for a bigger challenge. Nonetheless, it's still a cool thing to try to kill time, but I really don't see anyone utilizing the whole day pass after their first experience. 3.5 Stars!

When you walk into the room, you see a bookshelf decal on the wall and a bunch of chests within the room. The only sort of cool prop they had was one of those globes that opens up. But every single task was to unlock a lock. So you could just search the entire room for hidden keys and chests without actually having to follow any clues (one or two were keys, others were combo locks). You still have to figure out the combos, but just finding codes is kinda lame. The prompt itself wasn't good to start, so I felt like our team didn't have a goal, we just started searching. The storyline was not really there. We solved everything including the master chest. And although humans have a natural sense of satisfaction in finishing something, it wasn't actually that fun. Glad I didn't have to spend my own money on this. I'd be happy to try another escape room, but not at this establishment.

Not sure if this is a thing outside a private birthday party but KUDOS to the friendly staff. They managed a large group of 2nd graders which isn't easy to do. The kids sat in a circle & got up close to a snake, rabbit, and armadillo while learning all kinds of cool facts. Even got the chance to pet each but I opted out lol. The real star of the show? Onyx, the Egyptian Uromastyx! This little guy stole the spotlight with his playful nature. He popped up each time a new kid came by. A highlight for sure! We spent 2-3 hours here
