I had a man, in his 20's, following me around, who claimed he didn't speak English. I pulled out my phone and he used translator. His input didn't translate. He kept me in his eyesight. I went out to my car to bring a bag out. What I saw him do made me question getting my laundry. The man was circling inside the laundromat looking for me. He kicked a chair in frustration. He kept asking for my phone. Ladies, your keys are a weapon, your phone is a weapon, carry pepper spray, protect yourself. It wasn't Martha there. Mixed picture here. Clean laundromat. Not a given. When staff are there, they are helpful,…read moreproactive, attentive. Plenty of machines. Lots of front loaders. Three of the ginormous ones, several more a little smaller. Then many regular sized front loading and top loading machines. One problem starts here with the washing machines. The very large ones don't spin well enough. If the attendant is not there to push the machine along a little at the end, you have a very damp finished load -- that requires a fortune to dry. The large dryers were also problematic, finicky. On the top, the one next in from the left does not heat up properly. The controls for multiple machines created problems for all somewhere during their attempts to use them. The other larger dryers on the other side were much easier to use, had no issues that I could see. Laundromat has a bathroom, vending machine, a dispenser for laundry supplies, as well as a small play area for children. There are several tables to fold laundry, chairs and rolling carts with the rack to hang things from. These are all clean and in good shape. The washers/ dryers use a card system. You purchase a plastic card at a vending machine by the desk, then you load it up either with cash or from a credit card. System seems to work satisfactorily. Laundromat opens at 7:00 AM weekdays. That looks to also be the best time to get the large machines. Staff assistance is only available until 11:00 AM.

I moved to Janesville from a sad little town in California just under a year ago. I've been coming…read moreto this laundromat to get my laundry done ever since my arrival-- actually, I'm in my car in the parking lot right now! Unusually enough, I do enjoy coming here! The change machines rarely have problems, the people who come in to get their clothes done are very friendly (despite any children usually being obnoxiously loud or staring at you for some reason), and the building smells like the cleaning isle of a store. Mmmm~ Oh! And they have free Wi-Fi!! The Washeteria is great, and the guy who runs the place is crazy friendly and is quick to get things done. My fiancé got a 5-dollar-bill stuck in a machine one time. We called up the manager and ended up being able to head right to his house a few minutes away where he refunded us the $5 on-the-spot. What a cool dude! Interesting sense of humor too... It's great~ There was ONE TIME when one of the dryers didn't work, so our clothes were still cold and damp when we took them out. And there was another time when a dryer ate our quarters, but the manager was super chill about all of it. He's so niiiiccccceeeee! The only real "issue" that I have with this place is that when the summer rolls around, the building gets so many flies. They're active near the front door, where people like to sit. A little annoying, but more than tolerable. I definitely recommend the Washeteria! The manager is super chill, the people who visit are friendly, and it's generally a great place t get your laundry done~

9 times out of 10 the workers here are very helpful and efficient. The problem as to why I am…read moreprobably not going to return here is there is one lady that works there that acts like she's irritated you even came into the establishment and she was working tonight. I worked a double shift and got off in time to catch the last wash by 8pm. I pull up at 7:46 and lights are dimmed off and doors are locked. So I call and the rude one answers and I said politely that the doors were locked and she got attitude and was like it been dead so she got approval to close early. The attitude that it was said with was her usual "annoyed that you even came" type thing. So if she is working then who knows when the last wash is cuz the last time she closed up early it was cuz her head hurt. So just a heads up if you're heading here, call before ya go cuz you may just get an attitude and a locked door.

I went to Fluff and Fold Laundromat on Saturday and started doing my laundry. I chose to go there…read morebecause they have a large number of washing machines, and I had a lot of laundry to do. About ten minutes after I arrived, the power went out. I contacted the owner, and the owner told me that it was my fault because I was running too many washing machines at the same time. That explanation makes absolutely no sense. Why would you have that many washing machines available if they are not all capable of being run at the same time? That is exactly what I said to the owner, and the owner promptly hung up on me. To make matters even worse, a couple of pieces of our clothing were completely destroyed by their washing machines. I will be uploading pictures of the damaged clothing and attaching them later. I would recommend looking into other local laundromats, as the prices are also less just about anywhere else you go.
