I have a new project where I recommended that my client take my drawing and have them design something similar for the laundry room as his new house has no cabinets there. They do a fabulous job here and you won't be disappointed. I use a custom cabinet company for custom millwork in the main living areas, etc.. but for closets and laundry rooms and even home offices I think they can do a great job! They did my master bedroom and den closets for me. I went with the darker wood because that's what I had throughout, but I recommend using white in closets as it doesn't show the dust as much.

Basecamp is such an excellent communication tool. Everything being in writing and accessible at any point in the project is worlds better than relying on quick phone calls and memory. They worked with me to find cost-effective options where possible--I'm looking at you, glass block window--and supported me indulging in my must-have splurges. It was so fun to be able to put together a truly custom look with folks who had the expertise to bring my eclectic wishes together. As with any project, there were hiccups here and there. The worst experience with a contractor ever. not only was the timing,…read more product and process misrepresented, no effort or offer to remedy the multiple problems with the work was made. He started 2 weeks late and only did bits and pieces off and on for almost two weeks. The last day everything was installed but poorly, crooked doors etc. Jason would not return calls or texts for weeks until we refused to pay the final payment. then we finally got a text. we then learned the business was closing and they knew that when they took our money. It was his intention to get our money and burn us. every door and drawer front is a different color, and most are scratched The hood that was supposed to be custom was poorly done and so heavily stained it looks muddy. Every time it was touched it damaged the finish. The only remedy would have been to completely start over but we were not given that option plus we could never trust this guy again.

I wanted to hire UB Kitchens as they seemed legit. They met with me about my kitchen gut/remodel…read morejob and gave me a quote of $25k. I really liked their customer service and the high quality of their cabinets. Unfortunately, as my house was getting close to completion, I flew in to meet in person to work on the kitchen project and they quoted me $66k now. I understand prices are increasing during the pandemic but not nearly triple. It looks like on top of the price increases, they may have counted the wrong number of cabinets needed for the project. I tried to work with them cause I wanted it to work out but ultimately, I would have had to make too many sacrifices to fit the budget such as not doing some upper cabinets and doing open shelving instead. In making these edits, they could get it down to $45k, still double the original quote and with too many sacrifices. If I calculate cabinets, counters, GC work, etc, the kitchen would be well over $100k. For that price, you should just go with a fully custom kitchen company. If I wasn't building a new house, building out a big pool and deck and all these other incredibly expensive projects, I would have liked to go with UB, but their pricing was more than I think I'd worth for semi custom

Tabitha quickly responded to my inquiries about getting work done on several pieces of furniture. She came to the house and did some initial repairs on the trimwork on a large antique cabinet. Her pricing for the work was reasonable and the quality is excellent. Additionally, I delivered to her a round wooden breakfast table that needed to be stripped and restained and an old bed frame that had a broken spindle between the posts. She completed the work according to the estimated schedule and the quality was excellent. I was very pleased with the work she did for us and will contact her again when other projects come up. She was very professional and easy to work with. I highly recommend her for anyone needing furniture refinishing work or furniture repairs.
