We got the number 3 and 11 and both were really delicious! The sourdough bread was really tasty. The 3 of us finished up two pizzas rather quickly. My daughter and husband enjoyed one of their dipping sauces which they used on the particularly tasty crusts. We have a lot of sourdough pizza places back home in Los Angeles but this one is quite tasty. We would return if we lived here but be warned this location is located on the outskirts of Borough Market and it is really busy. We were seated quickly, service is a tad slow but I find that all over London (busy holiday season me thinks) so I ordered my two drinks upfront as I wasn't sure I'd be able to get another after the food arrived which has been my experience at other places.

As soon as we walked to the door the staff was just amazing and asked us where would we like to be seated. We ordered a margarita pizza to share. One size is perfect for one person but I did dine here with my daughter and I already knew that she wouldn't be able to finish one by herself so that's why we shared it. Food was amazing can't wait to dine here again to explore more of the menu.

It is a simple place with a nice ambiance and the aroma of garlic in the air as we entered. Many of the staff are Italians, a good thing at an Italian restaurant, with the chef hailing from bella Napoli. The pizza oven looks authentic, but it appeared out of use until the pizzaiuolo (pizza maker) put our garlic bread inside to bake. Turns out it is gas fired. We started with a Caprese Salad - "fresh (buffalo) mozzarella cheese, tomato, basil, and olive oil" (£6.90) - as well as an order of garlic bread (£3) as previously mentioned. The mozzarella was neither fresh nor Mozzarella di Bufala as far as I could tell and there were just four large, halved cherry tomatoes surrounding the ball of cheese which was topped with one lonely basil leaf. There was a "skin" on the outside of the mozzarella and it did not ooze liquid, indicating that it wIt was not the worst Caprese I have had, but it was far from the best. The garlic bread was actually pizza dough topped with olive oil and salt, then baked in the gas oven. It was tasty and a decent value. I also had a half bottle of house red wine (£6.90), a Merlot which was smooth, light, and tasty. I saw that they had a Salsiccia e Friarielli (sausage and broccoli rabe sautéed in olive oil) Pizza (£9.90) on the menu, so I asked if they could make me a pasta dish with sausage and friarielli as well, a request to which they readily agreed. Bravo! The pasta was quite tasty and well prepared, indicating that the Neapolitan chef knew what he was doing. They charged me the same for the pasta as they do for the pizza (£9.90). My wife's Spaghetti Carbonara (£8.50) was made with cream, pancetta, and egg and she enjoyed it very much even though it was "a bit too salty". It was a decent portion and a very good value for the price, but authentic it was not as you would never find cream as an ingredient in a carbonara in Italy. I would have given them an extra "BOMB" had the Caprese salad been better and more fresh and the carbonara prepared more traditionally. CombatCritic Gives La Luna 6 Bombs Out Of 10 ... To boot, they had five-star customer service, with the manager taking an active interest in the patron experience. The pizza seemed large when it came out, but I was able to demolish its entirety--fluffy crust, cheese topping and all--in fifteen minutes and still felt like I had some room for dessert. And I was pleasantly surprised to see that the manager took off four pounds from an already reasonable price, as a discount for keeping me waiting a tad longer. I have had many a slice of similar quality at Luzzo's in New York, but that did not come with this level of customer service. Come to Treo's for the rare combination of great ambience, food quality and service. You are unlikely to be disappointed.

Yeah~I must vehemently state the owner of the Genoa pizza close to the Ostello della Gioventù Genova located in Genoa, Italy surely left me palette-traumatized! I was wondering if, the Naples pizza made and served here would also leave me palette-traumatized- accosting me with an unadulterated-no, PLETHORA of bell peppers heavily laced on top of the pizza I ordered as well: Wow~I was undoubtedly incorrect summarizing my assumptions regarding the Naples pizza made by these two Pizza Chefs! My humble apologies for incorrectly assuming creating bad pizzas, Pizza Chefs! In fact, the pizza I ordered had this haunting smoky flavor I couldn't decipher what created the smoky flavor . . . I'm still puzzled as I write my review for Theo's . . . Hmmmm~What was that smoky flavor-Smoky Margherita, eh?

I went for a 10inch "Vegetarian" which comes with Basilico pizza (tomato) sauce, roasted aubergine, courgette (which I omitted due to not being the biggest fan of courgette) and red peppers with red onions, chopped fresh tomato, basil and the option to have vegan cheese (to replace the Vegetarian mozzarella), and I was pleasantly surprised! When you think of takeaway pizza, you think greasy, unhealthy stodge... Well let me tell you something, takeaway pizza doesn't have to be greasy nor stodge. Straight up, this pizza was aaabsolutely delicious. The options Basilico have for Vegans aren't the most diverse, but it was actually really tasty, and I would most definitely have it again. It wasn't ridiculously priced (as people always seem to think Vegan food is) and the delivery time was really reasonable - way better than other "mainstream" pizza delivery companies. It also tasted much fresher, the base wasn't stodgy, and I didn't hate myself after eating it. So all in all, a really positive experience I would recommend you all try sometime Just thought it worth adding: as a long time cheese lover (honestly, I used to love cheese on everything: pizza, pasta, rice, soup, anything and was even nicknamed "Cheesus" by a couple of friends, thanks guys) - I was so dubious of Vegan cheese, however I was pleasantly surprised. The cheese they used was melty, creamy, and delicious! After calling them to enquire about the deliciousness, I found out it was Violife Mozzarella, which I've actually tried again since and it really does work well melted on top of things, and lasts a lot longer in the fridge than non-Vegan cheese! So next time you fancy takeaway pizza, rather than Domino's/Pizza Hut why not try something a bit different, that's super tasty and also supporting a smaller business!
