We used these guys for our move today and they were awesome. Scheduling with a week's notice was no problem. They contacted us to confirm this week and showed up on time today ready to get the job done. Super friendly, super careful with all our stuff, INCREDIBLY affordable and worth every cent we paid (I think they only charge $20/hour per guy, so make sure you tip them well!!) I have moved 15 times, 13 of them myself :| and the 14th was with a company that provided a truck and several guys. This time was by far the easiest and cheapest. It's no big deal to rent your own Uhaul (It cost us $55 in town) and you save so much by just hiring people to do the work. I'd recommend Mark (he's seen a million faces - and moved em all) and his crew to anyone. We'll be moving our crammed full office space into our new house in a few months and we'll definitely be calling Mark as soon as we know the date and for any future moves we have in the area. TL;DR: I really couldn't recommend this more, a totally stress free and affordable experience. 11/13 Update: Just used Mark again for our office move. Pretty much exact same review as above - easy scheduling, on time, went off without a hitch. Highly recommended! 6/14 Another great experience with Mark. We moved from IL/WI border to northwest Indiana and since we had to move both our office AND our house, we decided to rent a giant truck and get guys on the other end in Indiana to set up our office and house a few days later. What an ordeal. But as expected, Mark came through on our end in IL and packed an unbelievable amount of stuff into our truck in an amazingly small amount of time. Seriously, I'd hate to play this guy in Tetris. When your truck is packed, there is not even room for one of those long pieces. Packing a moving truck is seriously an art. The guys on this team showed up On Time, and finished in record time. They have professional experience with moving difficult items like an occasional chair down a narrow staircase, and dealing with 3 sets of staircases in a townhouse. All 3 men were courteous, and did not swear like a bunch of sailors on leave. They were available on short notice, and their expertise in handling all the items really dissolved my anxiety about the whole move in general. When I misplaced the mattress covers, they assured me that the new mattress would be packed on the truck with mattress pads, and showed me how it would be done. We had a stopover at my storage unit, where there were a couple of furniture items to pick up and put on truck. They got it done in 10 minutes! 4 Cheap Experienced Movers did a great job for us this morning, and I couldn't be happier. Recently, both my husband and I lost our jobs, and as a result, we have to store most of our furniture and move. I called 4 Cheap Experienced Movers yesterday, left a message, and the owner (Mark) called me back right away and accommodated my schedule. Not only was he and his crew able to help me out next day (today) on such short notice, but they were the utmost professionals, clean, fast, and very considerate, asking me in what order I needed my furniture placed into storage (understanding that some items could be stored in the "back" whereas other pieces of furniture (that I might have to sell soon) could be stored at the front of the storage unit). Mark's crew today, Rell and Tevin, really impressed me, as did Mark. Not one item was damaged. Very happy with them. Thank you very much, Mark, Rell, and Tevin. Oh, and I just saw that another former customer (who posted a review here) mentioned that Mark really knows what he's doing when it comes to packing a truck properly...that is for sure! Everything was packed in the truck so well, that nothing in the truck shifted, etc., which is amazing (because my driver (okay, I was the driver) was NOT taking turns too lightly). THEY ARE NOT BONDED AND INSURED!!!!!! DO NOT USE THEM!!! For starters they were supposed to show up at 9AM, was told by the owner Mark, that they had car trouble and would be there by 10. After the 3, 18 yr old kids from Chicago (these were the movers with "15 years experience") got to my house at 1:30 (they told me the owner Mark forgot about my appointment and they NEVER had car trouble, that is why they were 4 1/2 hours late). After the multiple breakages and damage to the walls I was forced to ask them to stop and leave. This company WILL NOT reimburse you for anything. Fortunately I was able to call Lake County Movers the next day and they were able to finish the job without any further damage to my house or personal property. This company is unprofessional and the movers DO NOT have any moving experience. YOU WILL REGRET IT IF YOU CALL THEM. Do your research and find a moving company that is experienced, bonded and, insured. All I can say after the erroneous and untrue response, is find a mover that has their own trucks and are bonded and insured. You will be sorry if you use this inexperienced company. And for the record they were forced off the move after I demanded they leave. Please yelp and and do business responsibly and honestly. Again, use a reputable company that has their own trucks and equipment. And that is absolutely the packing wrap that your team brought before they were escorted off the job. read more

These guys helped me move last February on super bowl Sunday, in a snow storm. They were quick and efficient and went the extra mile for me given all the snow and circumstances...helping me with the moving truck in snow, shoveling,etc. Really really great. Very nice guys and they're quick! Flexible with scheduling and easy to communicate with. We even had a last minute change adding an extra stop in our move and they didn't bawk at it at all, very accommodating. They did have some packing/moving materials with them and only charged a small extra fee for using those. They were affordable overall. I believe they're cash only. We were so happy with them, we'll be calling them again to help us with the move into our new home! read more

These guys were unbelievable! Fast, efficient, and basically master Tetris players! They were fun and very considerate of all of our belongings, walls, carpet etc. I've never seen a moving team this in sync as a team! Great job, and we will use them again for sure! read more

Showed up exactly when they said they'd be there. Moved my wife and I out of the house we lived in for 18 years. We boxed everything up before they got there. Three bedroom two bath 1600 ft.² 2 1/2 car garage. They loaded and unloaded in 4 1/2 hours. Best $415 we've spent! read more

Not reliable. I scheduled 3 movers to be at my place this morning at 9am. I reserved a truck to rent. They confirmed yesterday that we were still on. This morning I got an email shortly before 8am from Mark saying that he had a problem. His guys didn't want to work because it was too cold out. I was left high and dry. He was apologetic but he will have a hard time running a business this way. read more

We went through two moves with this crew. First from a rental house to a storage unit and then six weeks later, from the storage unit to our new house. We couldn't be happier with their performance. First, they were supervised and organized. Second, they were focused on getting done instead of seeing this as a social activity. Third, they understood their and our limitations. Fourth, they provided advice and guidance as we prepared to move. Fifth, they made very efficient use of the space in the storage unit - a cost savings. And finally, while not directly related to the moving process, some of the crew obviously had construction experience and in their spare moments (with our consent) made some useful recommendations about the house and some home improvements. While I hope I don't have to move again any time soon, I wouldn't hesitate to hire this crew again. and I am happy to recommend these guys to anyone who is. read more

Kudos to Mark and his men. He kept in touch with me from the time I booked his services until the time they arrived at our home. I can't say enough good things about my experience yesterday. They arrived on time and began working immediately. They were extremely careful when moving furniture and boxes from the house, and actually re-wrapped some of the furniture to ensure it arrived safely. When it comes to packing a truck properly, Mark knows what he's doing from year's of experience.
