The next morning he made breakfast that knocked my socks off and had an amazing view from the patio. From the veranda you can see the 2nd oldest church in America, which is quite the sight. The rooms are quaint so make sure to request the larger room if needed but the smaller room was perfect for myself and i wasn't barely at the property long, just to eat in sleep while I adventured around Puerto Rico. Modest price but its probably on of the best bargains with an added taste of the island. I would definitely go back next time!

Tony exceeded my expectations as host, providing sangria, wine, and fresh local food. His background in hospitality does not disappoint, as he was able to show us the home, explain the history of the rooms, from the period wallpaper. He is a great cook and was helpful in planning excursions of the locale, both touristy places and hidden gems. Laying in the cozy rooms, and listening to the coqui's as we fell asleep was unique to the island. Would definitely recommend single travelers, couples, or those seeking a unique experience to the region. Would definitely come back.

The rooms are comfortable and the air conditioning is excellent. Their wi-fi is fast and very reliable. The breakfast was delicious and the service was excellent. I am a very light sleeper, so I did notice the street noise from an active area in any type of city. My wife and couple we were travelling with had no problems. But to be this close to everything, this was a non-issue for me because the B&B and location are really top-notch. If you want the best of all worlds when staying in the old San Juan area, this is the place to be.

The room is so cute and clean, and it is walking distance to so many shops, bars, and restaurants. Breakfast each morning was delicious and didn't ever leave me hungry (bowl of fresh fruit and coffee and juice). Next time we want to visit San Juan, we will definitely stay here again! They also suggested a couple other b&bs to visit (Casa Flamboyant and Dos Aguas--make sure to check them out, too!) ***PRO TIP: If you intend on being in San Juan for more than a day, I HIGHLY recommend not having a car until you decide to leave and explore other parts of the Island. Everything is walking distance so there's no need to drive (or you can Uber). If you absolutely have to pick up your rental car right off the bat, you will have to park you car overnight in a garage or a lot. There is a $3/day lot that is a little bit of a walk, near the National Guard base. Drop off your luggage with someone in your party and they'll check in, and you should park your car there.

Located in the heart of Puerto Rico and near the World's Largest Radio Telescope Arecibo Observatory, TJ Ranch was and is a welcoming place. Tony and Joan welcomed us and showed us to our cabin. It's a hide away like non other. TJ Ranch is a family owned business and very private. We walked past their house, past the pool, past the big restaurants to the back of the land towards the cabins. The scenery is breath taking. They are in the valley of this 40 acres of tropical plants and wild life. Tony is also the chef and he serves up some of the most traditional dishes and a few dishes with a twist that are delicious!!! They made us feel so welcomed that we didn't want to leave. They helped us with our daily trips exploring this paradise island. Since they are located in the center, it allowed for us to explore more of the north, west and south coast near the towns of Arecibo, Hatillo, Camuy, Lares, Islabela, Moca, Cobo Rojo, Guinca, Ponce, Jayuya, and etc. Well worth the drive. We had a great time and ever since when we plan our trips to Puerto Rico we almost always make an effort to stay at TJ Ranch for a few days. They are wonderful people and so giving. I also discovered it's an excellent place for birdwatching, hiking and so much more.

I had been dreaming about staying here for years and I FINALLY made it happen. As a vegetarian, I…read moream very grateful that this hotel exists. It is very close to the airport and everything else in San Juan. If you plan to stay mostly in San Juan you could get away with just ubering but we did rent a car. There is not lot but we had no problem finding street parking for the week that we stayed. We stayed in the Muse room. To be honest, this was expensive and more than I would have liked to spend but the hotel was so good it was worth it. You are a block from the beach and they provide beach towels and chairs. We did two beach days near the hotel and it was honestly perfect. The beach is amazing, very blue even though it's in the city. I felt perfectly safe walking around this area. It is technically in a gated community so it is very nice. Right outside the gated area are a bunch of restaurants. The food at dreamcatcher was also very good. They provide free coffee every morning and then pay as you go food from 8am-1pm. Everything I ate was very delicious. The menu changes frequently so if you see something that sounds good, get it! My favorite thing was the tofu huevos rancheros. It was incredible. They serve a dinner on Friday nights that was $65pp but we skipped to try some other things. The courtyard is also very cute, great place to get pictures and sit back and relax. I can't wait to come back. Puerto Rico has my heart!

Do not stay here if you are vegan and unless you have read multiple reviews for a specific room…read more This place was made by an owner who wanted a certain aesthetic but didn't care about the well being of his guests. We stayed here and splurged for what supposed to have a private bath, but discovered that it was on the front porch without covering so anyone waiting at the entrance for an uber could see easily in. They had a couple curtains but none in front of it which meant people from street could see in. We complained and asked if they could either give us a partial refund or even just get some removable hooks from a hardware store and put a sheet so people couldn't say in and they said no the owner would not like the aesthetics and would not be available to approve it. After much pestering they did give us free breakfast/free tour but it was honestly very upsetting and distressing to have been waiting for this great special room and then realize we couldn't full use it. The other thing is they advertise as vegetarian, vegan friendly which was great because I prefer to eat vegan when possible. The first day they had a vegan oatmeal that was good but by the second day their vegan menu had literally nothing with protein and by the third and fourth day it just had toast with veggies, which is something I could have gotten at any restaurant or hotel. They are not in the middle of nowhere, there are stores nearby and the manager also drives to visit their other properties. It's not that hard to have tofu or peanut butter or can of lentils that don't expire for months and you can continuously replace. I was so excited to support a veg establishment and feel bad I have to give it this review, but I want to protect full vegans.
