I discovered this one-of-a-kind fast casual restaurant through Yelp on a recent visit to the Historic Winter Garden area. Because of the healthier food options and great reviews, my wife and I decided to give it a try since it was just a short distance away from the historic downtown. One other plus we discovered early (because of the sign just inside the doorway): No seed oils are used in their salad dressings, only 100% extra virgin olive oil. My wife chose "Build a Bowl" and added chicken, roasted sweet potatoes, roasted broccoli, and (the very tasty) herb & parmesan mushrooms. I ordered "Build Your Own Salad", and chose the local Italian sausage as my protein, with some crisp greens and sautéed onions, and fresh lemon garlic vinaigrette on the side. We thoroughly enjoyed the flavors and healthy options. We definitely would like to return. This restaurant currently is the first and only one. MISC. The concept was created by the former Miller Ale House President/COO and his family to provide a healthier option for fast casual food. He and some of his family happened to be sitting at some tables when we arrived. Also, although we didn't order these: Sandwiches and Burgers, including Impossible, are available; Soups are made from scratch; Kids Menu; Organic non-alcoholic beverages; Coke/Sprite; and Beer & Wine.

Crisp & Green delivers a refreshing, healthy, fast-casual dining experience that stands out for its emphasis on fresh, customizable meals. On a recent lunch visit after doing a cold plunge...I opted for their build-your-own bowl to get what I was craving after a busy morning. The bright, airy interior with its clean white aesthetic made the quick counter service feel welcoming rather than rushed. I started with a base of brown rice and spinach. For protein, I chose the roasted chicken tender, well-seasoned, and clearly made with quality ingredients. Then came the fun part of picking a bunch of little sides. The bowl was generously portioned deep and satisfying, easily a full meal that left me energized rather than heavy. The staff was friendly and helpful, offering suggestions when I hesitated over toppings. Service moved efficiently even during a moderate lunch rush. While prices lean toward the higher side for fast-casual (my fully loaded bowl came in around the $15). Overall, my build-your-own experience at Crisp & Green was a win for anyone seeking a customizable, feel-good lunch or dinner. It's ideal for healthy eaters, vegetarians (with tofu options), or anyone wanting to mix grains, greens, and proteins without compromise. I invited a small group to lunch and celebrated birthdays with a meal for two friends....I bought lunch after signing up for the rewards program. I opted to take the requisite photo of my receipt and have the meal credited to my rewards account. The points were never added. There is no customer service phone number to call for assistance. And the phone number at the corporate office only leads to voicemails. So I sent an email. No reply. It's been 3.5 months. A few days ago I decided to call the store for two reasons (1). to see if they could lead me towards resolving this issue before make my next rewards-motivated purchase, and (2) to see if they would be able to pull together a last minute event for 23 people. When I called, I started by asking about the rewards program issue. A young lady announced that the manager had just left the store 20 minutes earlier. She said he could call me the next day when he returned--somewhere between 12 and 4 pm. I said okay and gave her my name and number. The next day at about 330, I had not heard from the manager Dennis So I called the store and a young man answersed the phone. He didn't identify himself, so I asked if he was Dennis. He asked me to hold on a minute, so I did. An older sounding man answers the phone, also not identifying himself. So I said "hi, are you Dennis?" He replied "if you are selling something, we don't want it". I responded "I'm not selling anything, I'm a customer. I'm trying to reach Dennis". The call was then disconnected. About an hour later I called back, hoping that the call had been inadvertently dropped. Again, the young fee-sounding man answered. I explained that I thought we had bbeen disconnected when I called earlier. He replied "please hold on a moment". I said "okay", feeling that the first call had indeed been disconnected. The call then resumed, with the older sounding gentleman answering "hello". I said "hi". The call was again discontinued and I heard silence. I cant imagine why a business would not want to speak with a person who identifies as a customer. I had a question to ask about their process and an order for food that they sell. While this was at one point my preferred spot for my vegetarian diet, I can honestly say that I would not recommend anyone go there, if their service continues at the level I experienced. Why would anyone call a business that repeatedly hangs up on customers trying to do business with them?

The Vibe: From the outside, the shop is pretty unassuming, tucked into a strip mall--but that's often where the best deli spots are hiding. When we walked in, we were immediately greeted by a busy lunch rush and a fast-paced New York deli vibe, with staff cranking out sandwiches left and right. Always a good sign. What We Ordered: * Hot Rachel * Classic Italian * 1/2 lb pesto macaroni salad * 1/2 lb redskin potato salad We took everything home for lunch and... Every single thing was delicious. Sandwich Highlights: The Hot Rachel was exactly what you want from a deli sandwich--tender pastrami, melty Swiss, tangy slaw, and toasted rye all working together perfectly. Stacked high and full of flavor. My husband's Classic Italian was also fantastic, loaded with meats and that classic deli balance of flavors. Both deli salads were great, but the pesto macaroni salad was the standout--creamy, herby, and packed with flavor. We're honestly so excited to have discovered a great New York-style deli less than 10 minutes from our house. Safe to say we'll definitely be back soon to work our way through the rest of the menu. Pro tip: Don't skip the deli salads--grab one or two to share with your sandwich.

The Vibe: We came on a Saturday and the parking lot was packed, which we took as a great sign--and it was. You walk through a fun outdoor patio before heading inside to order, and the space is incredibly unique--colorful, eclectic, slightly hipster, with dog photos and quirky decor everywhere. The line to order was pretty long, but we noticed a few open seats at the bar. We asked the bartender if we could order there, and she said yes--pro move. Skip the line, grab a bar seat. Drinks: We tried the house lager, which was solid and refreshing. What We Ordered: * Homemade Queso + Flavor Bomb 3 * "Famous" Pulled Pork Sandwich * "What the Fig?" Sandwich Standout Bite: The queso with Flavor Bomb 3 was incredible. Sweet, savory, and completely addictive. The pineapple in the flavor bomb added the perfect touch of sweetness and made the dish really stand out. Sandwiches: Both sandwiches were excellent. The pork was fresh, tender, and packed with flavor. The classic pulled pork was great, but if you like bold flavors, the "What the Fig?" is the way to go--the fig jam added the perfect sweet-savory balance. Flavor-packed and messy in the best way. Sides: Sandwiches come with your choice of Miss Vickie's chips, house-made slaw, or both for $1 extra. The house-made slaw was a standout for me--fresh, crisp, and the perfect complement to the sandwiches. Overall: Great food, fun atmosphere, and a unique experience from start to finish. We're already planning our next visit--and next time we're bringing our pup since they're dog-friendly and fully embrace it. Pro tip: Head straight to the bar if there's a long line--and don't skip the queso with a flavor bomb.

What immediately separates AJ's from the crowded pizza scene is their ability to execute multiple styles at a high level. Whether you're craving a crispy-edged Detroit, a hearty Sicilian, or a classic New York thin pie, this kitchen clearly understands the craft behind each one. Start with the garlic knots -- exceptional. Golden, flavorful, and perfectly textured with just the right balance of garlic and well seasoned red sauce. The meatballs follow suit: tender, rich, and tasting unmistakably homemade. Add a thoughtfully selected wine list, and it's clear this isn't just a pizza stop -- it's a complete dining experience. Then came the recommendation that made the night memorable. The hostess suggested the Maui Maui Detroit-style, and take this advice without hesitation -- order it. The caramelized cheese crust delivers that signature Detroit crunch, while the chili-infused pineapples create a surprisingly sophisticated sweet heat that elevates every bite. It's bold, addictive, and executed with confidence. Equally impressive is the staff. Friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely engaged, they guide you through the menu with the kind of enthusiasm that signals pride in what they serve -- always a strong indicator of a well-run restaurant. AJ's isn't just another pizza spot; it's a place for people who take their pizza seriously. Rare to find, difficult to forget, and absolutely worthy of becoming a regular destination.

My fiance and I were sat in a cute little booth, with each of us seated on the same side which I personally loved! The interior decor was tasteful with dim lighting. It wasn't too busy for a Friday night, and the service was attentive and quick. We thought the prices were a little expensive, but as soon as we got the rolls we understood why -- the portions are big! Cucumber Salad: a great, refreshing starter! Delicious and lightly crunchy, we enjoyed this a lot. Honey Salmon Souljoy: this menu item caught my eye - brie, honey, rice and salmon. I love all of those things, but never had them all together and we were pleasantly surprised. Savory and creamy with a touch of sweet! Sea Fusion Roll: Krab meat, tuna, salmon, shrimp and avocado, topped with tobiko - simply delicious. Samurai Steak Roll: loved the mix of spicy tuna with the delectably steak on top! The texture of the steak was perfect. Octopus Nigiri: fresh octopus lightly brushed with sauce so it didn't even need soy sauce! I enjoyed this bite, it just had a tab bit more rice than I prefer with my nigiri but not a problem at all. The presentation of the dishes was beautiful, but the nigiri had a bit too much rice for my taste, and the rice itself tasted slightly undercooked.
