A tech came out on May 6th because the door was not open and the tech opened and closed the door…read moremanually while I was there and didn't say anything and then looked at the motor and said it need to be replaced. He told me what to get. So I got what he told me. On May 13, he came and worked on replacing it. He still did not say anything 2 hours later until I asked if he was done. Then he said yes but the door hit the up door frame. I told him that it didn't hit the door frame before. Not sure why he got upset and was trying to say that I was accusing him and called his boss. Then said the Spring is wrong and the door was installed wrong by previous technician. He pointed to other small garage door that said it was wrong also and stormed out. This door had been working well for years since I bought house in 2010 until the motor stopped working. If it was always like that, the door would be all managed. Only after he did the replacement the door hitting the frame. Replacing the motor might require some adjustment on the door or track to make the door works well but instead he was trying to argue with me and trying to blame this and that. The next day the other technician came and spend a 15,minutes to adjust and replaced one of the hinges and it works and that was done for free. This could have been better if the first tech just said it was not my fault but I'll try to adjust it for you and if there was something else that needs to replace you pay for it. I would be happy with and pay more for him if there is anything that needs to be done as I need the door to work. I feel this is totally unnecessary and uncalled for. I appreciate the company to send another tech out to do adjustments for me. So this review is not reflected on the company but the that one technician. If his was handled properly I would be happy to give them a 5 star but for that I gave them 4

He found/replace 2 broken hinges, tightened all bolts the boards, adjusted the garage door opener and lubed the door all for a VERY reasonable price. All Bay installed my garage door back in 2017 and I can't say enough positive about this company. I…read moretend to try to do most thing around the house myself, but when I recently got myself into trouble with my DIY garage door adjustments, they came out right away and made it all good as new with a very reasonable service call charge. When I initially was shopping for this door, they were very helpful in working with the manufacturer to get a custom detail implemented. We wanted a flat vertical grain douglas fir section in each panel without a standard trim detail that added more complexity than we wanted to our craftsman style home. I think a lot of garage door installers wouldn't want to spend that sort of time for a relatively budget install, but All Bay were excited to do something different and they were able to get us the door we wanted. They even dropped it off ahead of time so I could stain it myself before they came back for the install. Everyone I've ever worked with there has been professional. With most contractors I've used, I tend to have a list of caveats when people ask for recommendations, but not All Bay Garage Doors. They've never left a mess, been late, overcharged, or not delivered what they promised.
