do not order from this company unless you don't mind not having a cake for your event.
i have taken them to court. ordered a cake online, chose a date and time, decided i wanted to pick it up 1 hour earlier and decided to phone, the owner david duncan, happen to answer my call, sounded very polite and everything seemed fine. he took my details and said yes you can pick up an hour earlier. got to their shop and amy, i believe that's her name the manager, took my details, went in came out again, took my details again went in and came and said sorry your cake has not been made. as you can imagine, this is the day of the event, i was stunned. i said what do you mean? she said we didn't have enough time to make your cake. i said on your site, when you order, it gives you dates for collection or pick up and you get a confirmation email and i also spoke to david duncan who said i can can pick it up so what exactly is happening? she went in to phone david duncan, turns out that he got things mixed up and to add salt to injury, allana louise duncan, who acted as a lay representative in court, who was not present when that call was made, said that i phoned and i was told my order was cancelled and they were confused to see me turn up to pick up cake. firstly who in their right mind will drive an hour after they have been told their order was cancelled and arrive at exactly 11am as discussed on the phone, secondly why was my refund processed shortly after 11am on the day i arrived to pick up my cake and not when they claim they told me the day before of the cancellation because obviously when i came to pick up the cake, that's when they realised their mistake and then refunded me and finally, once an order is cancelled you almost instantly get a notification of cancellation and refund, then how long that refund takes will depend on the card issuer why did i not get a cancellation email of notification to inform me that my order was not going to meet up the collection dead line. i will continue to fight this case in court because what upsets me is that this company have not issued an apology but instead lied to cover their errors. a cake company knows how sentimental celebrations are for different people so to treat people like this is unprofessional and unkind.
and i am very sure i am not the first and won't be the last.
i am telling you do not order from them you will be very dissappionted. go somewhere else. read more
