I think I may have started a new family tradition, we had so much fun. In 2013, the prices were $30 for general admission, $45 for VIP tickets. As a newbie, usually I would go economy class until I had a chance to "see how things go", but I knew I would want the shirt either way so it was a bargain price for me. Lots of VIP tables near the food and the bandstand, and event volunteers bringing your beer. Yep, the VIP tix are worth it... Admission allows for unlimited* tastings, and that's really what brings everyone out. I was expecting a lot more draft selections; most of the 120 beers available were in bottles. Also mostly absent were the owners/bottlers/distributors. The few that I did meet were very excited to talk about their line, and I love meeting people who enjoy what they do. The other tables were manned by volunteers, many of whom studied up on the beers they were pouring. I may have imagined it, but I think at *least* half of the attendees were volunteers. Which is an even more economical way to attend. A lot of them had either just ended their shift and were off to tasting, or had been tasting and were about to begin a shift. Food from local restaurants was good, too. Weather was perfect. Next year, the first Saturday in October is the 4th. Don't ask me to come to your your aunt's birthday party. No, I can't drive you home from getting your wisdom teeth out. So sorry, your wedding will just have to go on without me - I'm busy that day. LOL Though a lot of the rides have minimums and maximums and my 280lb, 6'2", 17yr old football player brother couldn't get on most the rides.. Lots of food vendors. Definitely look around and make sure they have their prices listed because you will be hustled. I was charged 10 for a corndog that others were charged 8. Didn't realize it till after the fact because I was told by another customer. Game prizes aren't worth it but it's really for the experience. You pretty much pay for your prize if you get one. We spent almost 200 for my boys to get a couple stuffed animals. Another game was a little better only spending 20 because my 7yr old is a good shot. The attendant was surprised but that made obvious the fact that the cans were glued on, or something, because they were NOT falling over. We played a water gun game and my son won a small stuffed animal. To get a bigger animal you would have to pay more and win a couple more rounds.. Practically paying for a bigger prize. Most of the attendants and vendors were very nice. There were a few that did have nasty attitudes for no reason we gave them. But overall we had a good time. Would recommend going as soon as the fair opens, 5pm, and on a weekday to avoid the crowds. Cash is also good to have since cards are "taxed".

The police at the fair decided that my daughter's cousin wasn't actually her cousin and denied her…read moreentry after they had paid, over $100 for tickets, and cleared security. The polic officer proceeded to tell my daughter she was stupid when he realized she was recording the encounter. I understand the need for an adult legal guardian to accompany minors, but do not understand why the police are allowed to pick and choose who can get in, insult children and take our money.

It was supposed to have mayo on it, but there was none. Also, lettuce and tomato would have been a nice addition to the two patties. My friend got wings, five hot and five hot garlic. The wings were a decent size, but he prefers them saucy which they were not. Service was fine. Our server checked on us the appropriate amount of times to see if we needed anything. We were there on a Wednesday and took advantage of their deals which was $1 off draft and $5 off hamburger. Everything was fine, just not amazing...but it is just bar food.

Because we chose a later slots to tour the grounds, we were not able to get the full experience. There is a multi-faceted program if you go at the right time. Yonah Mountain Winery…read more We stayed a night thru Harvest Host. Spectacular grounds! Beautiful winery set up. Plenty of seating with sails for shade, as well as wood and stone cover. We enjoyed the Pinot Noir with a cheese and salami and crackers charcuterie. We also had music . Beautiful afternoon! We also bought a wine bottle candle which was a little different ; the bottle was cut sideways. The grounds for RVs was set up nicely with an oval circle for easy in and out. We were the only ones there! Wow! Our dogs were able to run around and enjoy off leash. That's always a plus! The only thing was that the grass was not cut , but we made it work. We did hear a large pack of coyotes in the middle of the night. Epic!

In addition to the band, I hired swing dance performers/instructors and Jules took the lead in working directly with them to work out musical needs of theirs, without my even having to ask or get involved which I really appreciated. On the evening of the party, the band was magnificent! They came dressed to the nines, their sound was phenomenal, and they brought the dance floor to life in such a way that the most experienced and inexperienced dancers all seemed to feel comfortable giving it a go. It was just plain fun. (And, for what it's worth, my date was a professional musician with a degree in musical performance - and he was totally impressed! They're good!) I'd book Jules and the Gents again in a heartbeat and would recommend them to any other corporate event planner looking to impress his or her crowd.

We brought our son and three friends here for an afternoon hangout for his birthday. They have…read morearound 20 screens with PlayStations and Xboxes hooked up and several games on each. They had a great time and it was great that they had access to play a ton of different games without each kid on their own having to own them to play. We'll be back I'm sure.
