We ran upstairs to find all three of our rooms and bathroom ruined and flooded. I was in an extreme panic and called 911 Restoration. Andy was really great at keeping me calm and assuring me that everything would be taken care of; and that's exactly what happened. Like I said I panicked so I called the Cedar Rapids Restoration when we live in Dubuque, and they willing did the drive everyday to come out and work on our house. Andy and crew, came out immediately and arrived at the house at 3am and worked until the water has been contained. Like I said, they continued to come out and reassure us that everything was going to be fine. He was very up front with the situation and walked us through everything we needed to know. Aside from the whole extreme water damage situation, it was a great experience and nice to know someone really cared about us and the situation at hand. Our carpet shampooer broke quite a while ago, and we reeally fell behind on dealing with how disgusting the dogs make the carpet. I didn't think in my wildest dreams the carpet would be salvageable. We decided to bring in Actually Clean just to try to improve the situation until we figured out what to do. If they had gotten the carpet half as clean as they got it, I would have considered it worth the money. They got the carpet looking like new, though! I am absolutely floored by what a great job they did (pun intended). The guys were both super nice, too! I would definitely recommend this company to anyone who needs a carpet cleaned!

In short, you should have no hesitation or worry in hiring them for your job, big or small! They are my #1 company I will trust when needing work for myself, family, or friends. I had a pipe burst in my kitchen & caused damage to my kitchen & dining room. It caused warping to my subfloor, ruined cabinets, panty. Etc- a mess! Billy & Shawn came out & got straight to work! They eased my mind instantly as they have such a warm & comforting presence. They explain everything upfront & as they go, as well as always being available for questions or concerns. They are down to earth, reliable people that put you at ease to have on the job. They took a lot of pictures prior to starting which not only helped file the claim for my insurance but made sure to be here when the adjuster was out & helped me in the whole insurance process. Billy & Shawn were helpful every step of the way. They got all the work done FAST & were very clean- oh my goodness, they left my house way cleaner than when they arrived each time they came! They offered to help box up my cabinets/pantry, move 75 gallon aquarium, furniture, you name it- they didn't shy away or go without offering to help do anything that would help me. The receptionist/office professional, Lauren, is not to go unmentioned as she is truly wonderful as well! She is amazing at communicating, easy to get ahold of, is incredibly helpful, & so kind. She even spoke to my insurance to help move things along quickly too. I feel like I could go on & on as to all of the positives to each person & the completion of their work & still not do justice to how truly wonderful they all are- it's absolutely rare to have such dedicated, diligent, hard working individuals that are as kind as they are helpful & trustworthy! There is no way I would ever contact anyone other than them for future projects nor will anyone I know. My insurance agent even took their information to pass along as they were so impressed & noted how rare it is to find professionals like them! As a homeowner for over 20 years I've had my share of home repairs & the need to hire professionals for all types of jobs. I get so much anxiety from a few past poor conpanies, as many of us have, but this company is not that- Billy & Shawn at Performance Restoration go beyond what you would list for ideal qualities & performance of contractors/professionals you would want on your job. Our homes are not only the biggest investment most any of us will make in our lifetime, but also the most personal & valuable asset that doubles as our place of safety & comfort. Don't take shortcuts or make mistakes on who you invite in or hire to do work- Billy & Shawn at Performance Restoration are the only ones I can undoubtedly trust & reccomend in their business. You won't regret hiring the right people for the job- give them a call! -Mandy H Iowa City, IA 05/19/25 Edit- I almost forgot to mention they fixed my front door without my asking (was bottom of my list given the state of my house but frustrating & on my to-do). I still can't believe it. Seriously I could go on & on, & know I'm missing so much of how above & beyond they are individually & as a team but the best is just to call them & find out for yourself. They are a model of what not only good business but good people are. Note to the team: Thanks again to you all! I appreciate you beyond what I can express. MH
