Please be cautious when hiring Abraham's Professional Tree Service. They were recently hired,…read moreunbeknownst to me, by the property management company that manages the rental house next door, to prune my 75 year-old oak tree that stands between the two houses. Their first response when I tried to stop them, was that the property manager had told them that she had been informed me about the work. Which she had not. That they were lied to by the property manager is not their fault and legally they have a right to do the work. However they were not the least bit sympathetic or interested in hearing about my concerns about the tree, arguing that they were licensed. They removed massive amounts of wood from one side of an oak tree that is already leaning slightly toward my house. They had never, unless they trespassed on my property, assessed the stability or health of the tree before doing this work. The Abrahams' manager while telling me they knew what they doing, told me that my other oak tree, which is in my backyard and can only be seen from the street through a tall picket fence, was going to fall and destroy my garage. I take the responsibility and liability for these trees extremely seriously. In the 25 years that I have owned this house, I have spent at least $20,000 keep both oak trees properly pruned, as well as assessed by an independent dedicated arborist making sure these trees are safe and healthy, not only for my sake, but for the neighboring property as well. Yet he, while touting his 10 years of experience as an aborist, made that assessment by looking through a fence at a tree over 45 feet away. So potential customers, be cautious. I am now waiting for the owner of the well-respected, 25 year-old tree company, that has taken care of these trees for 15 years, to come and check the stability of the tree.

The care the crew puts into carefully and strategically trimming is a comfort to me. I have been working with Vintage Tree for quite a few years. He did a great job, and cleanup was perfect. He also advised us about a pine in the back. We are holding off until October. We had several quotes from competitors, and his came in at less than half of the lowest quote. Yet the quality was amazing. We really like Drew and will use his company for every tree need that we have.

I was in fear that this winter it would possibly fall and hit the house. I was quoted a price that out bid my other offers then mario started asking me about the other trees I have on my property. A different tree company did the previous work. I have 6 other dead trees. Three had all the branches cut off and the trunks left erect. I couldn't afford having them removed at the time. 2 others were up-rooted years ago and were left as they were because they were gigantic and the cost would be crazy. So Mario asked what I was going to do with them and I said 'nothing', too expensive to deal with. Mario said let's see what I can do for you. I told him I don't want the wood or the chips and they would have to get rid of it all. He gave me a number that was pretty high when he said it, but after explaining the amount of work it will take to clean it all up and he will have all his equipment here anyways, we shook hands and that deal was agreed upon. After the work started I asked about a few eucalyptus trees that I need a quote on. Once again he gave me a great price and he threw in trimming the remaining eucalyptus branches that were hanging over onto my property and getting rid of the widow-makers on my remaining Monterey Pines with there bucket truck. Once again a handshake and that deal was signed. His crew is polite, informative, hard workers in the 90 degree temps (from 2 weeks ago). They cleaned the grounds where they were working and smoothed out the Sandy Lomb we have here, we don't have a lawn for 6 acres. I definitely would recommend Arborcare. Arborcare took great care of me and my place. I will be calling Mario for all my future tree work. It's hard to find a company that does exactly what they say, I am glad I had them take care of my needs.

Great insights and guidance to what's possible. Now the details When we rebuilt our house, after losing it in a wildfire, we were not looking forward to more rebuilding. Our backyard was a mud pit and needless to say required a lot of work. When we first began looking for landscape contractors, we obtained six estimates before deciding to work with Chris. Chris came out and took his time walking our yard and talked with us in great detail about the drainage system we needed, given that our lot is a good 2 feet higher than the two lots behind us. We found him to be much more knowledgeable and thorough then any of the other contractors we talked to. He also really understood our vision of what we wanted and offered great guidance from his expertise. He communicated wonderfully throughout each job he has done for us. We have hired him 3 times for drainage, irrigation, paving stones, lattice extension on fence, building pergola and building deck for hot tub, built outdoor shower, and put in trees. I'm sure I'm leaving stuff out, but just know he can do it all. We also use his company for regular yard maintenance and have had a wonderful experience with Richard his lawn maintenance guy. We highly recommend Chris for any and all of your landscaping, upgrading, rebuilding needs!! Please see before and after pictures attached!
