Previously at other DQ locations I have had their meals and they are better than you'd expect from a mainly ice cream focused fast food spot. This spot does not take much of a drive-thru line for it to go into the street, so be warned. Typically even with a busy line it does seem to go quickly. The staff we have interacted with have always been friendly and the blizzards have been good with minimal complaints. Occasionally they've been poorly mixed or had minimal add-ins. Obviously you can get far superior ice cream options but sometimes I have that craving for a blizzard and come here. Most should honestly know what to expect with a DQ and this location nails that expectation decently well!

Both the açaí and mango bases are sweet, which I love, but I could imagine pairing a less sweet base, like the banana, with a more sweet base like mango. I'll have to try that next time. Also just have to say that the bowls/toppings are exactly as shown on their website/in app...it is really amazing how the photo and the real thing match exactly. Very impressive quality control! Yes, the prices are higher than at other places and I'm not entirely sure why, but this doesn't really bother me because the portions have always been enormous here, it's super convenient to where I live, there's never a wait, the staff is accommodating about wacky requests, they take credit cards, and the customer service is sometimes above and beyond what's becoming the norm downtown (I showed up once a few minutes after they had closed for the night, but they still let us order giant sundaes anyway!). They serve stuff from The Ice Cream Machine (out of Rhode Island, and distributed by Sysco) so it's not homemade or local even - I don't think it's the most delicious ice cream in the world, but it gets the job done and sometimes that's all you need (side note: their sundaes are awesome here; they know how to pour. on. the. hot. fudge!). Do I think this is a destination spot? Absolutely not. Is it ever going to make it on some national "Best of..." list that will drive hoards of people to it? Nope.
