TLDR: Hire this man…read more Found Ali on Yelp to install our kitchen cabinets after our first installer proved to be uninterested in helping find bespoke solutions to the challenges presented by our design. Ali responded very quickly on Yelp and provided what seemed like a good price. I realized that buying cabinets myself and hiring Ali to build and install them would cost several thousand less than the other installer was charging to do everything, and I'd have a better kitchen for it. Ali did a great job with our pre-fab cabinets, and he also built us a custom range hood and stained our floating oak shelves to match. He customized several of our cabinets to accommodate our needs, and always provided a fair price upfront for the additional work. He's been doing this a long time and his experience and knowledge were always helpful. It's clear that he enjoys the challenge of finding creative solutions, rather than dismissing them as "too custom." Everything turned out wonderful and we get a lot of compliments on the hood. Ali was the best contractor we worked with during our renovation. He spent a lot time in our home and was always friendly and professional. If I'm nitpicking, occasionally communication was hit or miss. But the same was true and worse for every single other contractor we worked with during the renovation, so this is just par for the course I guess. And it certainly wouldn't prevent me from hiring Ali again. He's a good person who cares about doing good work, and not only did he stick to his original quote (plus the extra work we'd added), he actually deducted small things that ultimately didn't need to be done which I would never have noticed or brought up. Definitely reach out to him and see if he can help you with your project. Thanks Ali!

He did several projects for us, including a major kitchen facelift, an exterior door replacement, and a pocket door rebuild. We've been burned in the past by so many different outfits promising the world and then delivering terrible results but none of that with Ali. Have Ali do everything you can.

From our very first meeting, Tom demonstrated exceptional professionalism, creativity, and attention to detail. He took the time to visit our home, carefully measure the space, and listen to all of our ideas, wants, and needs. Throughout the design process, Tom offered numerous creative suggestions that enhanced both the functionality and appearance of our kitchen. Tom provided us with detailed CAD drawings that incorporated everything we discussed, along with several innovative ideas of his own. He was always receptive to our feedback, maintained a positive attitude, and consistently demonstrated a genuine commitment to making sure we were completely satisfied with the design. Once fabrication began, Tom and his team built our custom cabinets with outstanding craftsmanship and completed the installation on schedule. During the installation process, Tom continued to offer creative solutions and improvements that further elevated the finished product. The final result exceeded every expectation we had. Our new kitchen cabinets are absolutely beautiful, and the quality, fit, and finish are exceptional. He was always there to answer every question and someone from the team was always able to walk me through every process and give great design and construction advice. They were incredibly fast, while keeping it clean. Any minor hiccup was addressed quickly and smoothly, and most importantly on budget. You can tell they take great pride in what they do and actually care about their clients. I like that they're a family-run business as well. This was my first attempt at investing in a rental income property and was very nervous about finding the right contractors to do the job well, for a fair price. I received several other quotes, but so glad I chose CB. David Moshe was my main contact there. He was knowledgeable, friendly, and straightforward about what needed to be done and where potential problems might be. From day one, everything went smoothly and efficiently. I was given a clear work timeline and payment schedule. Was informed about each step as they progressed. It was a tremendous amount of work to be completed in 3 months, which they did. David was patient and understanding with my many requests and questions, and immediately solved any issues that came up. Wish I knew all the names of the crew as well. They were all highly skilled, professional, and respectful of my property. I wouldn't hesitate to use Cavalier Builders for future projects and highly recommend them as well.

His crew is responsive and hardworking, and when my timeline got tight, Franklin didn't hesitate to step in himself and get his hands dirty to keep things on track. He was very fair with his pricing and never took advantage of changes that came up along the way. His attitude of "no problems, only solutions" was a huge stress relief for me throughout the project. I had several bids from other contractors, but my gut told me to go with Franklin -- and I'm so glad I listened. Eileen, his daughter, was also fantastic to deal with. Their communication was excellent: they always picked up the phone, always made time to come to the job site if I had questions or concerns, and always made me feel like my project mattered. I'm incredibly thankful I found Franklin and wouldn't hesitate for a second to use him again.

I had to go to his bond company and CSLB to complain them to ask them come back. The newest gaps I found during painting project made my experience even worser, please see the photos then you know what I am talking about. The mistakes that they have made. 1. Made the roof eves shorter, the original ones were 24 inches, but they only made 18 inches. They blamed my structural engineer but lack of document support. After I escalated this issue and others to his bond company and CSLB, they came back to extend the rafter and added a soffit which made the appearance really bad. 2. They demolished a wall between the kitchen and sunroom, which should be kept. 3. They cut the water supply pipes(both cold and hot) and sewer line from underground to the wall and didn't seal them. when I turned on the water, the water came from underground. I had to spend $1,700 to hire a professinal plumber to reroute these pipes which should not need to. 4. They made the kitchen window opening lower than usual, it is too low that i even can not put a sink under the windows. I had to uninstall the new window, ask them come back to move the opening higher, then reinstall the new window. I spent $100 for uninstallation and another $250 to reinstall it. 5. During the painting of the eaves, the painters found lots of unusual gaps and took photos for me. They told me never hire them again. When i forwarded these photo to them, they declined to fix them and ask me to hire painters to patch them. The painters cannot do it since the gaps are so big and they used scrap wood to make the ending work.

Albert may be an artist but he is a piece of work himself. He has put some of the pictures from the…read morekitchen he made for my parents house on here, which is fine, but what he didn't put is what he put my parents through mentally and emotionally and not showing up , then showing up , and a project that they had to do went from 2 months to 6 months with a lot of yelling and going back and forth and a lot of lies. My parents have a soft spot and my mother is very particular , so I thought there were miscommunications , I also felt extremely bad because his daughter had medical issues and he hurt himself as well. Long story short, we were happy with the work so when it came to my house and my mother told him that I am remodeling my home, Albert came and said he needed the work and he was going to build me a kitchen and do my closets and the door that I needed for my remodel with the best wood and as my other contractor wants to build for me with a given price, and all the promises , so I sat him down and said Albert as amazing as you work is I rather not deal with the headache, I cannot push things back, and I need to move in by October, everything should be done. He made me a promise that things wouldn't be the same and my family means a lot to him because we have been there for him in ways his own family couldn't and he would be honored. BIG MISTAKE! This guy is crazy. First of all lies through the roof,Every day he would say he's coming in the am and he would be done and he would show up around noon and leave around 3 with nothing finished. While he was here if I even approached him he would start yelling and screaming and hitting himself to the point I turned to my mom and my husband and I said should I call the police ? I think he's not stable . Long story short, I had enough of the yelling but since I had given him down payments for all of the projects and deep down I felt bad for the guy I kept hushing and looked the other way. I sat down with him numerous times and asked him to please without being disrespectful to give me a timeline that works best for him so I can figure out my own end. He even wrote them down and signed and promised . Guess what ? Nothing ! Same thing and only got worse. I couldn't take his yelling so I asked my husband to have most of the conversations since he's extremely calm, long story short he made a web of lies saying I am treating him badly like a worker which is not true at all and so many other things . I offered him water and drinks as I saw him working, I got them lunch and offered them to my own table when I saw them there the days they were actually working but when conversations went like hi Albert you said you were coming in Monday it's Wednesday and you have said you are painting my door every single day at your shop, are you coming in ? He said yes and showed up Thursday with a Door that is not painted my jaw dropped! With all of the projects he was supposed to do and failed miserably he Built a bar for $3,000 which did not match the picture I wanted him to build it like. he said he would match my kitchen shakers and he built me a book stand instead. The built in entertainment system and a thick mantel for uber my tv and over my fireplace and he built me something so thin like an ikea shelf not even close to what I wanted. He also had the audacity to ask $2000 on top of that with 2 more weeks so he could make it look built in as I had originally agreed on with him after he was already late 2.5 months. Sorry about the rant but I don't wish such a person on my worst enemy. He is a liar, a crook and an impossible man and I feel so sorry for him because he just sits there and cries with his lies and looks innocent . Well no more !!! My timeline: Signed a contract for a kitchen with him August 24 to be finished in 30 days my kitchen was done at 93% Late October. Still not done I may add and today we decided to let him know that we no longer wish to work with him because he will not show up. All other things were supposed to be done in October after many arguments, and right now it's the end of November and my bar or my entertainment center is not even started on yet. He designed and brought a shelf cabinet instead of what I asked of him for the bar and he took most of the parts back and blamed me and my walls for his mistakes . I hope this review makes someone understand all of the headache and pain this crazy unstable man has caused.
