The owner is very knowledgeable and made me feel comfortable with the process. Would come here again next time I need work.

First of all the positive reviews on here shock me after what we experienced. If I could give zero…read morestars I would! I called and wanted a price on a windshield for my Ford Explorer. Talked to the owner and he gave me a price. I called back to see if that was the OEM Ford windshield. He said no that it costs more. I told him our insurance covered a Ford windshield. So I called insurance and sure enough they do and she was going to call and set up. So then I get a call from the office lady. She asked all the questions to see if I had sensors and stuff and set appointment for two days later. I showed up (9:45am) and she seemed frazzled but finally found my paperwork in the stack of papers. She called her brother back in the shop to tell him I was there and had an appointment. He came up and got my keys and they took it into the shop. He then came up and was all freaking about the side plastic on each side of my windshield and wanted his sister to call and see if she could find parts just in case he broke mine. They began to argue in front of me and my son. He then walked out and came back and said "Oh, your car isn't a year model that we need to worry about." So then he went back into the shop. He kept coming back and forth dealing with some couple he called to come in for whatever reason other than glass. The office lady walked me back to make sure they took off all the stickers from old windshield. The old one was shattered all across. Not sure why they did that to get it out. Around 11:15 he came in to tell me he needed to drive my car to calibrate it. He said it would take 15 minutes. Thirty minutes later he showed back up. I walked out to get in my car and it WAS NOT a Ford windshield. I walked back in to tell him and he immediately started looking for his sister. She came out of the house behind their shop and was immediately rude. She told me she could get a Ford windshield in a week but they would have to take the one the installed out and put my shattered (because of them) windshield back in. Umm what?! So I got on phone with insurance company. I started finding things wrong inside my car and outside. I had glass all over my dash and in my seats. The middle sensor part above my rearview mirror was not lined up or put back on right. They scratched my hood and side plastic pieces. New windshield has epoxy on it. Plus so much more! Don't waste your time here. They could care less how they treat your vehicle.

The actual damage was limited to the bumper, tailgate, and a small section of the bed where the bumper contacted it. The first time I was told my truck was ready, I found lint trapped behind the paint. Devon, the representative I was dealing with, claimed it was not behind the paint and said it could be buffed out. Additionally, the freshly painted side of the bed was covered in tree sap from being parked under a tree, making it dirty and impossible to properly inspect. I refused to accept the vehicle and asked for the issues to be corrected. At that point, Devon stated they were not going to respray it and that he was not ordering new decals. His attitude was essentially that the work had already been done once and he was not willing to redo it, despite visible paint defects. The second time I was called to pick up the truck, the lint issue still had not been fixed, the tailgate cap had been broken during disassembly, and there was also a paint chip that had not been addressed. After pointing this out, Devon reluctantly agreed to respray the bumper. When I went to pick it up for the third time, the paint was worse than before, with even more lint trapped behind it and overspray on adjacent panels due to improper masking. The general manager, Todd, eventually came out to inspect the issues and was professional and understanding. He acknowledged the problems and stated they would tear it down and make it right. However, on the day I was scheduled to pick it up for the fourth time, I was informed they had burned through the paint with a buffer and would need to respray it again. While I will update this review once the repair is finally completed, the customer service I received from Devon alone is enough to ensure I will never return to this location. Refusing to properly redo defective work and dismissing issues as "small" is unacceptable. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this Caliber Collision location

I paid a premium price for ceramic, the tint itself was good; now having another brand new vehicle I will be looking elsewhere for a tint job. I hate to leave negative reviews, but I would hate even more for someone to go through what I went through.

I showed the tech, whom I believe is also the owner, that the driver's side window drops a quarter inch when you open the door. He said multiple times that he has been tinting for more than 20 years and knows how to do the job. When he finished with the car, a 2020 BMW convertible, I could see that the dot matrix on the windows had not been dry tacked. He also said I could roll down the windows and drop the top right away, which he had me do. I rolled up the windows and raised the top after I left the shop. Any seasoned, professional tinted will tell you to wait AT LEAST 24 hours, if not 3 days, before rolling the windows down. The tech told me he had rolled the windows down and dropped the top already. By the time I got home (2.5 hours away), I could see the bubbles at the lower quarter inch of the driver's side window. There was also a sloppy cut on the bottom of the rear quarter panel on the driver's side. In addition, the passenger's side window has 4 or 5 "specks" of something that got trapped between the film and the glass. There are other imperfections on four windows that have not "worked themselves out," as the guy said they would aftwr 2 days. The rear window seems to be the only decent tint on the car. Unacceptable. He also let his wife drive my car from the garage to the front parking spot, which is unconventional. There were a couple of positives worth mentioning, to be fair. He did let me know about a scratch in a window that may or may not be more visible with the tint. He and the young woman working the counter were both friendly. Unfortunately, my calls to bring the car in for a tint fix were unanswered over a four-hour period when the shop was allegedly open the following Monday, which is fine because in the end, I'm not confident the issues would be resolved a second time around. I made an appointment with a shop that has stellar reviews to get the tint fixed. I'm looking at paying an additional $200 on what initially cost $298 for ceramic tint. This amount does not include the additional 5-hour round trip I will have to make. The tech said it only took him 1.5 hours to install the tint. I would have gladly waited 3 hours to have the job done right.

Completely shattered the middle of my windshield but praise God I still had great visibility from my driver side view. I pulled over onto the shoulder of the road and called various repair shops in towns along the remainder of my route seeing if anyone could fix my windshield along my way. This incident occured around 3 pm on a Friday afternoon and every place I called advised they needed to order a new windshield and the quickest time they could repair it would be the following Tuesday. That didn't work for my schedule. Luckily while I was calling around, my dad was also calling around to repair shops in the Odessa/Midland area. Alas, he found our hero, the amazing, Dante at Onyx Tint! Dante was able to order the part and went into the shop BY HIMSELF the very next morning, while the rest of the Onyx staff was off for the day and repaired my windshield within the time it took my dad and I to have a nice breakfast at nearby, Jimmy's Egg and to do a little shopping nearby. Rain was also in the forecast for the day and Dante got us outta the way and back home to Odessa with my vehicle spotlessly repaired before the rain began. I can not give Dante/Onyx Tint enough praise for this amazing above and beyond service I received! Thanks to Dante there was no disruption to my Odessa trip, I was able to travel back safely to Houston without worry and my windshield looks good as new. Bravo and a million gazillion praises to Dante! I will recommend you and Onyx Tint to any and everyone who might need windshield repair. Thank you so much for the exceptional job you did and for getting me back on the road!
