It just detracted from the sandwich. My guest had a cup of soup, which was delicious, but had icy spots throughout and had to be reheated. Lunch for two people was over $52. That seems a little steep for a little by-the-way diner.

The roast beef sandwich was on nice soft bread with a good portion of meat. The cheesesteak was piping hot, but it was a little short on cheese. I'd asked for onions and peppers to be added. There were a few pieces of onion and no detectable peppers. It was still very tasty. All in all it was a satisfactory experience, food was good but service was slow. Also the restrooms were up some steps so someone with disabilities might have difficulty in getting to them. I'd like to give a better rating but I think this a solid three stars....

Saturday's lunch was a massive Italian sub (or "hoagie" as they call it in Delaware) that was so big I couldn't finish it in one sitting. Their baked desserts are amazing--my personal favorite is the yellow cake with chocolate icing. It has all been pretty good. Several things I think could use improvement. The fresh bread is not so fresh. I like pumpernickel but it seems the sell by date is always the following day. I have bought it several times anyway only to find mold on it two days later. In addition, I stumbled across shrimp with spiral noodle frozen meals which I absolutely loved but they do not carry it anymore. When I asked one of the workers they said they sell whatever is shipped to them, that they have no control over what they offer. They have not had that since. I wish they were open on Sundays because that's when I do most of my grocery shopping. Lastly, the cashiers always seem so miserable!
