Great spot for late night dinner and drinks. Don't sleep on the pizza. We ah get a bunch of apps and drinks here but the entrees looks delicious also. Also great service from the servers and host and everyone that works there. read more

This is a beautiful place with wonderful views. The service was excellent, very attentive, and at one point, the manager even checked on me. The Bloody Mary was excellent , but the menu promised pickled vegetables. I was hoping for a pickled asparagus or green bean or two , it was just olives. I ordered six of the New York oysters and they came with this lovely relish , also cocktail sauce and horseradish. The oysters were excellent and had I not ordered an entrée I would've ordered more. The Crab cake Benedict left a little bit to be desired. English muffins with Benedict should be toasted hard so that they hold up with the runny egg and sauce. The eggs were perfectly cooked, the cakes were ok. read more

Visited for 3p Brunch on a Saturday for outdoor dining and thankfully my table for 8 was ready when I arrived. (Thanks to Front desk staff) Server Eliani was AMAZING!!! She was attentive, courteous and professional the entire time. (Also very helpful w my cupcake fiasco, ) Food and Drinks were delicious, although I wish my waffles were a lil more crispier. Highly recommend and definitely will be going back. FYI: Across street from Metro North's Ossining station Amazing views of the Hudson River. read more

Came out to NY to visit a friend and I wanted to eat at a place on the water. She recommended we go here and I am so happy we did! We sat outside and the view alone was stunning! Right on the water! The service was fast & friendly. We got sushi rolls, pizza and mojitos! They had a good food selection. The restuarant was busy! The inside was very nice, very posh. Will definitely visit here again when I am up that way! read more

Beautiful Thank you Diego for giving my friend and I great service. This place is stunning. The views with make the food taste even better. Great menu choices that will make you order a bit of everything on the menu. Easy to find great parking and if you don't want to drive it's a short train ride from nyc. Oh, the drinks ... This is a lovely spot on the Ossining water front with a great outdoor dining space. Diverse food options here combining speciality pizza and sushi. I had the double tuna roll and my friend had the burger and both were delicious. The service was very good and we were able to make a Saturday outdoor dining reservation on the same day. Great date spot or cool place for a summer dinner by the water. read more

We came for the view and weren't disappointed. Had we come for the food we would have been. This is our first meal out during what we hope is the end of the pandemic lockdown. The outdoor patio seating was beautiful right on the Hudson. The food was about what we expected. Chicken wings a little over done. They were supposed to be spicy it were tasteless. The pizza was as expected should have used more sauce. The lobster pasta was light on both lobster and pasta, had breadcrumbs in it and too much salt. We knew this place didn't get the best ratings so we kept it simple. The place is pricey for the portion size and their holding back on expense ingredients. What they got right is the view and social distancing. Once they seat you outside they ask they you keep following the arrows. The back bar has bathrooms and you can leave out the back. At the entrance they have 6 foot marked to keep parties apart. The porch is sizable and they put the tables at a nice distance. The greeters were friendly and our waitress was great! We will be back for beers and appetizers. read more

Beautiful location. I made a reservation so when I presented for an outdoor seat the waitress said I can only sit inside. The manager/supervisor and immediately found a seat outdoor and seated us. The food however was not so great. The aioli sauce that accompanied the calamari had no taste. The price you pay for the salmon was not worth it. I have the lobster pasta, which was not to bad but not worth the price. Overall nice location but the amount you pay for the food it's not worth it. Our waitress was very nice read more

Atmosphere and place were nice. The view is unbeatable! Really enjoyed our 7 pm reservations inside by the window. I recommend you make a reservation because it is a heavy traffic restaurants on the weekends. We ordered oysters, rainbow roll, the filet with a side of lobster mash P. And a grilled chicken Cesar salad. The food was good, not amazing. We only had wine so can't rate the drinks. The service was probably the most amazing !!! There is an ice cream shop outside which was also delicious !!! read more

This is a great place to unwind. Great vibe and great views of the Hudson. Service is also great, friendly, attentive and prompt. Drinks are tasty and a good wine list. But, there are two things that made me downgrade my review. First, the Food is mediocre. You get a mix of pizza, sandwiches/burgers and sushi. And none of these are great. Second, the prices are really high. These two issues are not a great combination. read more

Went there for lunch during restaurant week. It was my first time here. What a beautiful restaurant! We were pleasantly greeted and seated at the table of our choice by the window overlooking the Hudson. A perfect start! The host was very gracious and excited to show us the restaurant week menu. I started off with the crispy cauliflower and then ordered the prime sirloin burger and my friend ordered the crispy chicken sandwich along with the kale Caesar salad. The apps came out and boy were they delicious! The crispy cauliflower was like no other I've ever had. It had such a lite, barely visible batter but a wonderful crunch! Just perfect! The kale Caesar salad was also cold, crisp and delicious with a Panko lemon lime topping. Loved it! My sirloin burger was so tasty, perfectly cooked medium rare with wilted onions and smoky bacon. A taste sensation! My friend enjoyed her crispy chicken sandwich with the Asian slaw on top. Chicken breast was crunchy and delicious. Both fries and side salads were also perfectly prepared. Our waitress was a doll, extremely friendly and nice. To end this fabulous meal, we ordered both the tres leches cake and the chocolate lava cake. It was a perfect ending to the perfect meal. Can't wait to go back again and try dinner! read more

Went on Memorial Day weekend ( Sunday night) food was decent, I guess you pay for the location, service was minimal, waited 30 minutes to get another round of drinks and received almost no attention. It was not busy at all. Overall it was meh , there's definitely better places on the water to spend your hard earned money I won't be going back again. read more

Popped in for a drink at the outdoor bar on a Sunday afternoon. Views are perfect for a sunny day, with lots of various seating options like tables, high tops, the small bar, or even couch and lounges. Inside is very roomy too and I like the industrial meets classy vibe. Only was able to partake in some libations on this trek-- a gose and then a glass of sauv blanc. They have a nice selection of draft beers at $7 and the wines by the glass vary, $10-18 or so. They will rack up quick so watch yourself. Saw a few sushi rolls come out for other patrons and would definitely venture back to give the food a try. Parking was not bad, although the lot is not large so you might have to rely on street parking-- be careful not to park in areas that require permits though (apartments and the train.) oh and one other thing I'm just remembering... do yourself a favor and skip any beverages with sugar or salt on the rim. Watched the bartender make some delicious looking ones... but the sugar syrup, salt and other stuff had tiny fruit flies landing and drowning in it. I counted 7 floating around in the dish at the outdoor bar read more

Very nice place right on the rivers edge. Great view! Service was attentive, timely, and friendly! Food was very good. Pizza was top notch - thin crust pizza can be tough to get right, so many places mess up the crust or cheese doesn't stick, etc. but this place has it down to a science. Cocktails were excellent too. My only gripe is the $15 truffle fries. If you're going to charge that much for fries they should be more than shoestring fries with a sprinkling of Parmesan and a dash truffle oil. Deck it out a bit. Fries were a rip off. read more

My daughter was excited to have her college graduation dinner here with family and it didn't disappoint. I had oysters, clam chowder (soup of the day), a sushi entree, and a watermelon salad. The service was excellent and attentive. The food was fresh and the view was outstanding. You could easily come here for a sports event on TV or a more intimate dinner. Oysters were fresh and clean. The clam chowder was creamy but not too thick. I always load up my chowder with pepper. Sushi was fresh and well prepared. The watermelon salad was refreshing and fresh. Parking here is abysmal, but it is worth the hassle. My car alarm kept going off because of its proximity to the MetroNorth train. They have gotten significantly better since they first opened. Try to get a table near the window or sit outside for the view. Totally worth it. read more

Took my wife here tonight for her bday.Soon as you pull up it's a breathtaking location right on the Hudson. Sat at the window with perfect view of the Hudson. Started with a few starters and one better then the other. Crunchy rice cakes so cute and crispy . Omg the crispy cauliflower was so tasty. Unagi avocado like right out the water very tasty German pretzel was huge and nice and crusty. Beer sauce was cold which made it have a weird taste. Black truffle pizza was ok. Was tiny and kinda mushy but had good flavor not worth the price. Wife and son ordered Scallops with string beans . Scallops were seared so dark and cooked so perfect. Sons GF ordered a crispy chicken sandwich which was stacked high with a lot of chicken fried so light. She loved it. I had the Lobster Pappardelle which I enjoyed. Nice ribbons of pasta cooked al dente. Not much lobster for the price with a little too much oil. Truffle tater tots for table everyone enjoyed. We all had coffee and ordered few desserts for the table Ping pong waves stole the show. Little pillows of fun. Cinnamon donut holes with a cream dipping sauce was heaven. Also tried the warm cookie skillet which was like heaven. All in all it was an amazing dinner at at great place. Break the piggy bank it's not cheap. But worth it. Parking is little annoying but have a lot across the way. Def try on a sunny day dining outside but have to get there early !!!! read more

This place is bustling with people. Amazing views of the Hudson are seen from ever seat. Beautiful outdoor seating area. The food is kinda meh and pricey. Don't order the spinach and artichoke dip--it's really bad. Burgers are decent, but not worth the price. Pizza is also kinda meh. There are better places for food. The drinks are decent. We came here for the view and hoping for a good dinner on a Thursday night. Arrived at 5:30pm and it is not crowded yet so we were able to get a nice spot outdoor. The good and the bad: Pros : View, Service , tables are well attended , Appetizers: $23 Grilled Octopus - excellent, $19 Mussels - good Cons: $16 Watermelon Salad (fair) + $17 grilled shrimp ( IMO not worth it) - Served 4 pieces of shrimps ( dry and tough) , Chicken Caesar salad ( super dry chicken) Summary : No reason not to go back. I think we will just order several appetizers next time and avoid the salads. read more

When is a good time to go? Sooooooo crowded last night that we left.

4:30 on a Sunday. Seriously, you can sit at the bar and have a drink, then when the kitchen opens at 5:00 you can order food. Stay away on Fridays and Saturdays, and whichever night you go, the way to do it is to go early.

The Tavern is nestled into the ground floor of (what looks like) a residential house. The ceiling is a tad lower than you might expect but that is part of the charm of the place. When you walk in there are several tables with tall chairs. The middle has some regular sized tables and chairs and then towards the back to the left is the bar. The rest rooms are on the right. The space was crowded when we arrived with a mixture of locals (who the staff seemed to know) and presumably other Blaze attendees. The Tavern space has definitely been there for a while, but the new wood on the ceiling and the overall condition of the bar shows that it has been renovated over the years with care. We were seated very quickly and our waitress was very good about answering our questions with a smile. I wound up ordering a personal sized pizza with mushrooms. What's interesting is that my dish was perhaps the most middle of the road. I think the sauce needed a bit more flavor. However, everyone else at the table got some awesome dishes. One person got a crab chowder which was savory and a bit spicy. Another person got the Lobster Mac n' Cheese and let me tell you, they do not skimp on the lobster! It seems if you get lobster dishes, they do not mess around! I had a great experience at The Tavern and if I go to the Blaze again next year I'll absolutely go again!
