Kara and I were lucky to catch them open Thursday of this week. It has an ample amount of Christmas decor with white flocked Christmas trees, greenery, wreaths, reindeer, ornaments and hidden treasures tucked away. Interlaced are beautiful home goods, boutique clothing, jewelry, dinnerware, soaps, candles, door mats and furniture to name a few. I found a gorgeous buffet and a lovely, white dining table display that was very inviting. If you're a football fan they now have new football team spirit earrings. Great Christmas gift for the sport fans. Many gifts can be found here for Christmas or a few pieces to update your home for the holidays. Persimmon Avenue is only open another four days in December: December 4th, 5th, 11th and 18th. Hours will be 10a-4p on Saturdays and 12:00p-4:00p on Sundays. For starters, Persimmon Avenue has great curb appeal and a charming window display. I'm a sucker for a strong window display. Inside Persimmon Avenue you'll find a variety of gifts and decor ranging from candles and soap to lighting fixtures and blankets. We were especially intrigued by the interior lighting section in the back and found a light we've been eyeing online for $75 less than Wayfair (heyo!). Overall, a very charming shop with great inventory. Easy and free parking found on the street out front. Note to self: this shop is especially cute during the holidays!

A lazy Susan made with resin and a bunch of tiny rubber ducks! Price points ranged from "that's cheaper than I expected" to "oh wow ... better put that back ..." Overall, I'd come back when in the area to window shop if nothing else! But it's a great spot to come find unique gifts.

Several vendors offered Spring women's and children's clothing and accessories. The shops seem to go on forever, there is a lot to see. Vintage tees and jackets were in a room towards the front. Prices are mixed, but not unreasonable. The staff is friendly and welcoming. The doors were open to take in the morning air. We found free street parking nearby. Worth a visit.

After passing through the front room, I was greeted at the checkout desk. What I really liked about the place is that many of the booths were holiday themed which set it apart from most of the collective/flea market type places I've been to. There were items that looked like new, some antiques, some clothing, lots of holiday accessories too! I found a small Christmas tree decorated in quilled ornaments. I had to buy one for my wife! I told her so, and now I want to share with you. She welcomed me even though she was behind merchandise, probably organizing as I saw her doing throughout the store. Missy was very informative and honest with her experience and products I was questioning. She was knowledgeable about current sales and program. I saw different spring items in the store and bought a lemon air freshener gel (which I don't recall ever calling such a gel) to lightly improve my bathroom.

The prices were great, the quality of the furniture is amazing and the sales staff is completely awesome! Over the past 5 years, we have needed more furniture and although I shop around diligently for the best quality furniture at a great price, Godby's is always the store that ends up getting my business. No one beats them. I went in yesterday to just browse for 2 accent chairs. I took photos of 4 chairs that interested me. Josh Scott was my sales person and I experienced absolutely no pressure. When I was ready for more info, I took my phone with the 4 photos to Josh. He knew each piece of furniture from just looking at the photos. He had lots of good info on each one and I narrowed my selection to 2 chairs. He was able to let me borrow a fabric sample for one of the chairs, which really was my favorite chair. However, when I got the fabric home, I realized that the pattern just was not going to work with my current furniture and carpet. So, today, I returned the fabric sample, purchased two beautiful La-Z-Boy recliners that are absolutely fabulous. I am so happy with my purchase and feel that I got a really good deal with their Friends and Family VIP Sales Event. The best thing about Godby's is that they have a local warehouse and much of the furniture is available for pick up the day you buy it. I love that! Of course, they deliver but once I give someone my money, I want the goods! Thanks to all of the great people at Godby's for making my furniture shopping nearly effortless!

Upon entry there were a few employees sitting at the front counter but they did not greet me at all. At the time of check out they were a bit friendlier but I wouldn't rate them high on making customers (at least me) fell welcome. The 3 levels are pretty well organized and tidy and most booth item were reasonably priced. I found parking nearby on the street after circling the area a couple of times.

We learned a lot and appreciate the time she spent with us. One of the unique aspects of Blakley's is that you can take home sample flooring for a rental period of 3 days! Not sure if other places do this but this is good information and very helpful if you are a visual person and want to see the different flooring options in your home.
