I am originally from Miami, Florida, and I moved to Van Wert, OH back in January due to getting a…read morenew job. I was completely unfamiliar with the area and I was very surprised to find out my cable company/internet service provider Comcast/Xfinity did not service the area. I have had many problems over the years with Comcast, including one on my way out of Miami which I will detail in a later review, but I did like the product they provided. I did not know what companies serviced the area so I called AT&T and found out that although they did not have their service their either, Directv, one of their subsidiaries did. I wasn't thrilled about going to satellite but I said well when in Rome, do as the Romans do. I signed up with a package with them. I also wanted internet, phone and security and they said I needed to work with a different company they are affiliated with in the area: Centurylink. I got a package and I was told they would be at my home on a certain day after my move. Thus began a comedy of errors that made me terminate my contract with both companies. During this time both: 1) put down the wrong dates to start service. 2) create a work order to repair my existing service, when it wasn't even installed in the first place. I was actually told by the repairman who was mistakenly sent to my house that he doesn't know how this could have been screwed up this bad! 3) getting my order wrong I had to make so many phone calls, including in the middle of a work conference I was attending! Every time my mother called me to say hey we have another problem with the cable/internet companies I wanted to jot my head against the wall in frustration. I was losing my patience and then one call again during the conference, my mother said that the installer for the internet service said that we would have ridiculously slow speed because they relied on DSL for service in my area and we were really far away from the downtown area where if we watched YouTube on one computer no other computer could use the internet! Wait!? What!? I was already unhappy with switching to satellite for tv but DSL? What am I back in the 90s? I can't use this, I work from home occasionally and so does my brother... this can't work! I wasn't told anything about this. I stopped the installation and canceled. Thankfully since service wasn't set up I didn't break the contract, it just never happened. Yeah no thanks!

We have been trying to cancel our service so that we can go to a lower price service. This has been taking more than a month or longer. They will not give us a disconnect service trying instead to get us to go to something cheaper from them. We want to leave frontier their service stinks and their coverage is horrible.

After countless useless chats with their awful AI chatbot "Giga" (which does not even allow you to type half the time), and fruitless conversations with customer support in another continent, I have been told I will be connected to internet in 72 hours - but frankly, I am not holding my breath. My advice - do not agree to their services unless they send a technician to your house to install the internet. If you choose the self install option and something goes wrong, it will be nearly impossible to get a real, local human on phone that can come to your location to troubleshoot. Once you go from potential customer to paying customer, their treatment of you changes. EDIT: Per the response of the comment from Frontier, I reached out to their Facebook account and was able to get connected to a real human, who created a ticket for a technician to come out to my house on 11/05 and fixed the issue. So far no internet problems. I wish I didn't have to reach out through social media in order to get effective help, but I am happy with the internet speed I have. EDIT2: They wanted to charge me to 150 dollars for hooking up the service they are charging me for, so I had to connect to customer support who waived the fee (screenshot attached). I strongly recommend never going with self install unless you are 100 percent sure it will work.

Frontier Communications is a good one for a Class Action Lawsuit…read more Frontier Communications is the worst internet and phone service provider in all of Southwest Michigan and Northern Indiana. Avoid Frontier Communications at all costs. Frontier Communications is not worth the time and aggravation. You will lose more money on trying to turn off your service. Be warned by this review. I need to turn off Frontier because a family member had to move into a nursing home. Leaving us with no choice but to turn off Frontier landline and internet bundle. You may as well bang your head on a wall while asking their Philippines customer service to cancel your service. The US service only reads liability statements and service offers to to detain you to remain a customer. In all they have taken over $500 of my parents money. In November they put the account on a vacation hold for 9 months. Then in January they removed the hold and are charging $111 per month. Jump forward. Now they have made me wait to officially close the. And will charge me another $100 because I will not be able to turn in an obsolete router. But wait, there's more. For a $27 credit on my account, they want me to stay as a customer longer and find a new customer who will take over the account! (How that works I still don't understand) Don't buy service from Frontier Communications

Then they billed me (at this higher rate) for another month after I closed out the acct. I was stupid and paid it as I didn't want my credit rating to drop,, I returned the modem in WORKING ORDER, way ahead of time as asked, now there is another bill of 50$ for some bogus money grab "restocking fee" Im like what? I had never heard of this and was never told this would happen when I first started with them over 10 yrs ago. I reported them to the FCC for doing this. I got a call from some rep who left a bogus # for me to call him back, reason why I know it was bogus as I tried to call back and got some telemarketer message and it wasn't this company- this person never called back again and the fee is still on my acct. I am not paying this as there is no reason for it, the modem worked fine when sent back and they can turn around and give it to another customer,,, restocking fee my ass. I will never return to this company and they lost a LONG TIME GREAT CUSTOMER WHO PAID THEM LOTS OF $ FOR THIS SERVICE. Please do NOT USE THEM. They obviously love to rip people off.

After calling all other service providers I realized Q.C. was my only option and with them being in my back yard I figured couldn't be that bad. I was wrong! Just like the previous reviews and many people's word the signal for Internet is horribly slow. I thought Frontier and Centrelink were bad. Right off the bat it was constant issues because the routers wouldn't communicate with their servers (Techs were pretty nice tho) so out of the first month I had about 15 days of actual connection. Storm? Signal is gone. "Peak" hours signal gone. I figured whatever, my son doesn't know the difference between HD and Analog so if Netflix gets grainy oh well. Fast forward. I've been paying Sixty Dollars a month for 8mb which in today's world is like dial-up. I had to pay a hundred dollars deposit to be a new customer (no special deals) now when I try to move my service they tell me I have to pay another hundred dollar deposit plus installation (I moved to the other side of a duplex) and worst off like an idiot I payed my last months bill while I was there. To top it off they claim that I only paid a fifty dollar deposit the first time and they used that to pay on my service.... I paid my sixty dollars a month every month so figure that one out. Companies should not be allowed to black out other services. My advice is check who has service available before you move.
