We landed on Riverhouse for lunch and overall had a great experience. Parking was very easy, and there was even a cart available to take guests to the restaurant, although we chose to walk. The only unfortunate part of our visit was the hostess experience. We waited at least five minutes without being greeted, which honestly didn't bother me much. What stood out was that when she finally came over, there was no acknowledgment or apology for the wait. It was my husband, our two kids, and me, and she asked, "Table for two?" When I asked if they had a gluten free menu, she seemed confused and told me I would need to ask our waiter because she was new. Being new is completely understandable, but the annoyed tone throughout the interaction unfortunately left a bad first impression. Thankfully, everything changed once we were seated. We had a great table outside with a beautiful view, and when we opened the menu, we were happy to see that gluten free options were clearly labeled. Then we met Johnny D. What an absolute breath of fresh air! He immediately brought great energy, was incredibly knowledgeable, and took amazing care of us. Our son wanted oysters, and because some oyster facilities may use processing methods that can be a concern for someone with celiac disease, Johnny went above and beyond to find out exactly where the oysters originated so we could feel comfortable ordering them. He gave us great recommendations, stayed on top of everything at our table, and truly made the experience memorable. Johnny D turned what started as a questionable first impression into a fantastic lunch. We will definitely be back!

We sat at a high top in the bar area which was very inviting with a lot of classic wooden bar vibes. We had an engaging and attentive server and the bartender served up a great mojito for me. My husband had the brick house side salad- what's not to like? Great song, great side salad with good mix of ingredients. I had shepherds pie for my entree and hubby had the seafood gumbo. The shepherds pie was so tasty, not saucy at all, yet very umami forward. Just yum! I can't speak to the gumbo only to say that my husband liked it and said that it was made with very high quality ingredients and was also very tasty. We will definitely be back. The only thing was that all the food was old, there was no bread available and most of the choices were no longer being replenished. But we still paid the same as everyone else. I do not have a problem with the lack of options and the older food at the end of the buffet but i believe if I will not get the same quality as the earlier people and the options they should lower the price for the scraps squad. I don't think this is a place I would recommend

I can't remember the name of it but it kind of reminded me of tiramisu with chocolate syrup at the bottom, walnuts and grapes, light fluffy cake, and whipped cream with chocolate syrup over it. It was heaven! Nothing felt heavy in my stomach and I felt very satisfied leaving. We will return!
