At the time we were doing remodeling of our home so we couldn't have them install the shutters right away. They were very accommodating with our time frame. When they installed the shutters, they all looked beautiful! They did fantastic job with installing them. Highly recommend this place if you're looking for shutters to be installed at your place. We think the pricing was fair as well. I don't remember pricing though but I do remember that my parents thought it was fair value. I totally forgot about them until my mom asked me last night because her friend wanted to get shutters installed so my mom asked me to find this place's info to send to her friend. :)

We were interested in changing them out for motorized shades and Rommel came out to our home for the consultation. He explained that the original cellular shades could not be retro-fitted to be motorized, so we would have to buy new sets. No problem - and totally understandable! Rommel was very patient and thorough with his explanation of why and working with us to understand our project. We ended up purchasing four sets of shades for our primary bedroom to cover two large windows with a two-layer, motorized system of black-out and light-filtering cellular shades. Rommel's installation team (Rene and Martin) were amazing - super fast, diligent, and competent! They also moved the original set of cellular shades we had to our living room, which meant we didn't lose them after all! They also updated the cord pulls for the original set, which we appreciated. The motorized shades have been such a wonderful addition to our master bedroom! We love the total darkness it provides for sleeping in -- and the automatic scheduler to lower / raise the shades as well has proven very convenient. We are VERY pleased with this upgrade. Overall, JMK Shutters offers a comprehensive, customer-first experience. Their team is knowledgeable, competent, and on-time. We have only good things to say about Rommel, Rene, and Martin and would consider them again for future work.

The bid was within the range of the others, maybe a bit lower. (No extra charge to move the refrig or kitchen table) Mostly we chose this company for its' reputation and it is local and women-owned. (Deborah and Bobbie.) We had to wait 3 plus weeks for the color we wanted to arrive. Worth the wait! It was Mohawk, cattail pecan. Installers, Ed and Johnny arrived on time this morning and were very polite and expert in their craft. They worked efficiently and were great! Love the results! I highly recommend this company.

She listened carefully and looked at photos of our living room windows, pointing us to the products that would work. Jackie wanted us to be happy. She sent us home with color samples, then ordered larger samples of our top contenders. Jackie embodies customer service ideals--she provided information and support without any pressure. She was patient as we weighed the pros and cons of different options and worked out what was best for us. 2) Installation. Todd is very experienced and did a fantastic job installing our blinds. 3) Quality. We had previously purchased custom window coverings from another local shop. The people were nice and helpful, but attention to detail on the final product was lacking. I cannot find a flaw in the products we purchased from McCarty's. 4) Support. After four years, one of our motorized blinds stopped responding. We called Jackie and she told us how to get troubleshooting support from Hunter-Douglas. She said if they determine a motor had failed, call her back. A failed motor was confirmed and we called Jackie back. She immediately ordered a new motor. When the motor arrived, Todd came to the house and removed the non-working blind. The motor was replaced, then Todd came back to reinstall the blind. I was worried the fabric might get dirty or mangled in the process. Nope. Looks as good as it ever did. I brought it in and he was able to fix it on the spot. But I was told before I brought it in that the repairs would be covered for years to come. This has been a wonderful company to work with. Sadly, I found out that Jackie McCarty passed away at the end of January. And that is why the showroom has been closed. Slated to reopen in April. I highly recommend this business and they have a very competent person coming in to take over the showroom who has been working for Hunter Douglas for 14 years.
