Crazy how time flies and it has now been 7 years since my review. 2Ten has been a staple in the Sunset Area for years now and it's a cozy but comforting space. The coffee bar is situated smack dab in the middle and is the focal point of the bar. They have a full kitchen where you can order brunch and main entrees. They're open daily from 7am to 7pm. You'll find five tall tops with four chairs, a standard table tucked in the corner, and a community bar closest to the entryway. I've always appreciated their espresso game and hope they'll lead into flavors outside of the store bought ones. Parking is pretty fair to find since they have parking spots all around the shopping complex. read more

I love the El Paso Toast with toasted multigrain bread and an over-easy egg (I'm picky with chorizo and theirs is amazing, good spicy kick and not greasy) while the other elements cool it down a bit. I am also a fan of the Spanish Latte and the seasonal blackberry mocha (I do both 1/2 sweet, regular or oat milk.) The staff here are great and friendly even when slammed. Went on Memorial day and ordered the green chile breakfast sandwich and three tacos with side fruit and side avacado and 2 lattes. Green chile burger was missing the bacon. Cashier offered avacado and i said yes. However, this is absolutely NOT avacado! Its that gross guacamole substitute they sell at the grocery store. It should not be offered as avacado. I would have never agreed to it if i had known it was that watered down version of guacamole substitute. Lattes were fabulous! Absolutely delish! I doubt ill order good again. So I've been here at least three other times when I visit and have always had a great experience. This time around not so much. It was busier than usual so expected a wait which wasn't an issue. Ordered a nitro cold brew with coconut cream and I'm pretty sure it was poured refrigerated nitro cold brew and coconut milk. No flavor of coconut cream at all. Grabbed a large iced Americano. Great selection of coffee, drinks, food, and great prices. Weather is perfect today so I'm sitting outside. Indoors: fewer sitting options than outside with tall chairs, which I never find comfortable. Outdoors are 2 tables, one really long bench and two umbrellas, trees and plants. I had been looking for a nice Cafe other than the usual Starbucks to go to and found d this cute little place. Not only is their coffee tasty but so was the breakfast sandwich the batista recommended! The cortado and green Chile sandwich was super delicious. The staff was beyond helpful and friendly. The place is small and has a nice vibe. Make sure if you go on a Sunday to be prepared to either sit outside or be patient in waiting for a table. I truly enjoyed my new find. I love this place as far as their coffee goes and location - it's close to my house at least. The food is lacking, especially compared to the other location which has phenomenal food. The location is a bit cramped and there is no where really to stand for your order. The staff is rude here as well unfortunately - I've never had them be friendly. The coffee in a To go cup is also a whole dollar fifty more - so like a cup of coffee for sixteen ounces is 4.5 on their menu for sixteen ounces, and no where does it say that it costs extra to not get it in a mug, but you then pay for it anyways. They'll put it in a togo cup for you if you get twelve ounces, but you still pay for the sixteen ounces. To the business owner Advertise that - especially because the other location does not do that. Six bucks for a latte is some next level boujie just because I don't want to sit in one of the five tables We always drive to the other location. read more

Woooooow! Came back pretty quick to update my review and holy cow the Bacon and Swiss breakfast sandwich is amazing!!! The sandwich is plenty of egg and bacon in between a soft bun and covered in cheese. The banger is the honey chipotle sauce. It is absolutely delightful. I had to force myself to slow down my eating so that I could enjoy the experience. The last sandwich I had had a lack of flavor that this made up for significantly. The coffee is still fantastic (currently the best roasts that I've tried in all of El Paso). This time I got the Yellow Brazilian Bourbon and it had a bitter, mellow taste to it that I really enjoyed. Highly recommend this place. Possibly going to be my next top spot that I visit. read more

Coffee was fine and the sandwich melts falling apart on me, but it was pretty good, especially with the salsa the gave me on the side. However, it was pretty expensive ($7 before I added avocado, which was $2 and they gave me a lot so I think the add-on cost as fair). Overall, it's okay. I think it's better for your morning to-go coffee than a place to chill with a book, though. read more

I've been meaning to try 2Ten Roasters off Sunset so met with a friend for breakfast today. It was a great choice. Service was friendly at 8am, they checked on us throughout my lengthy stay, and there was never any rush. The place was small with only 2 outlets and there's a train close by, but I saw a lot of business meetings and workers. Parking isn't easy here even at that time of morning. The baked goods are made fresh daily by Valentine's bakery off the Northeast they responded when I asked. The breakfast sandwiches are very big and the bun was so nice and fluffy that even when I asked for it to be reheated, it was still light and fluffy. They weren't stingy with their ingredients and the green chili sandwich was very tasty, with the green chili not overwhelming the other ingredients. I got a London Fog and a Chai latte, both of which they asked me of I wanted whole milk for; they were light and not so piping hot as to burn you, you can easily enjoy the hot beverage right away. I want to try their housemade pumpkin spice latte next. Restroom was clean and the entire place was well maintained. I'll definitely come back for other breakfast dates with my mommy friends. I've been wanting to try this location out for a while now, so I was finally in the area around lunchtime and decided to eat and work. The place was packed when I walked in, and there's plenty of seating for sure. The patio is also spacious and nice, but it was a little too chilly for me to sit outside. I decided on the green chile chicken sandwich and ordered a side of the sweet potato tots. I also ordered a Top Chico and a matcha latte. All came out promptly, which was great. I was ready to lunch and work, but I couldn't connect to wifi as it was at capacity, which was disappointing. There was only one person working the front, which is surprising considering how busy it was. Even with that many people in one place, she was still very friendly and polite. She even tried to help me figure out the wifi (with no success). I finished my meal, which was plain, no frills, but tasty. The matcha latte was also a bit on the sweet side for my taste. I absolutely love this place! I've been here 3 days in a row since I first tried it! Can we just admire the beauty of the architecture? It is so gorgeous inside with high ceilings and overly large light fixtures that hang down. Very modern hipster, if that's even a proper word. Every time I've been I'm always greeted by a person with a lovely attitude. So that's a plus. So in order to leave a review thats helpful its always good to know my coffee palate. I prefer the taste of actual coffee in my drinks. I'm not big on sweeter coffee drinks like Frappuccinos from that other coffee place that we shall not name here, those are WAY too sweet for me. I can also drink black coffee. So as you can imagine I will like the drinks that are not as sweet tasting. Unless I'm having a sweet tooth. My fave go to drink is the Spanish latte iced with soy or almond milk. That's one of the reasons I keep coming back for more! It's not too sweet but you get a hint of sweet with coffee and I highly recommend for the people who like their coffee with a hint of sweetness. Yum!!! I've also had the 7th Heaven iced. Also really good with a hint of sweetness. I would say this one is a tad sweeter than the Spanish latte but it could also be the barista who's making it. My husband likes his coffee on the sweeter side and can't drink black coffee. My husband tried the Coconut latte iced and he loved it. I tried it and its too sweet for my preference but still good and you can actually taste the Coconut. I recommend this for people who prefer sweeter drinks. He also tried the Honey latte iced and although it was good in my opinion it is his least favorite. That's probably because he likes sweeter coffee and the honey latte to him was not as sweet as the Coconut latte. He's also had the vanilla latte and loved it just as much as the Coconut latte. We haven't tried any hot drinks there because, well its been so hot here recently! We also bought the cold brew to take home and we haven't tried it yet but I'll update the review once we've tried it. I'm obsessed with their chocolate chip and white chip cookies!! I have a problem seriously. I've bought 4 already. It tastes homemade. Very soft and a whole lot of chocolate! For the food I had the quartet. It was sooooo good. A must try for sure! It had two thick slices of ham and a good amount of egg. It had a sweet sauce on it too. We tried the yogurt parfait. It was so refreshing and the fruit tasted really fresh. Husband had the breakfast tacos. It had thick slices of bacon and green chile and egg. It wasnt spicy at all. Although it had flavor he wasn't too impressed because I've made breakfast tacos before and he says I could've just made them at home. Isn't that the beauty of going out though?!! Stepped out my car and thought I was in LA for a second with the cool exterior and little outdoor area. They seem understaffed with only one register but the staff did a great job. I got a SEC, Glazed donut, and a horchata latte for around $22 i think. The potatoes are crack. Great char on the onions and peppers. The brioche bun was soft and fluffy and the sandwich tasted great, but the sausage patty was depressingly small. For $12, I'm not sure I'd get it again. The donut was pretty good and the horchata latte was phenomenal. Overall, great spot to get some work in, but maybe grab food elsewhere and just get the horchata latte. read more

Awesome coffee shop, I will be stopping through again before I head out of town. They make their own syrups, which has become a deciding factor for me now as I expect that if they roast their own high quality coffee, they should be putting in equally great tasting syrups (not that Monnin, artificial tasting junk). This shop delivered on every aspect from the inviting hip atmosphere, to the enticing aromas of the coffee, to the perfectly paired pastries and cookies, and then the sweet disposition of the coffee expert behind the counter. The coconut latte was perfection, just a hint of sweetness that allowed the espresso to shine throughout. The mixed berry hand pastry was light and crispy, just enough filling to not be messy but still burst with flavor. Great place to study or hang out! I love the smell of fresh coffee and this place has lots of coffee options. I got the matcha tea and my boyfriend got the horchata latte. Both were great. The matcha was little sweet for what I like but still good! V60 pour-over coffee is amazing! It's $4 for a small so it's pricey but very good! It's been awhile since my original review for 2Ten. Since then, I had come back tens of times here, and also had visited many other great coffee shops domestically and internationally, so I think it's time to come back and give my favorite home coffee shop a ringing shout! I love good espresso drinks, although my health and finance situations do not allow me to invest an up-to-standard espresso machine and grinder at home to make my own everyday. In fact, I cut my coffee addiction to twice a week except for when I am traveling. When I visit a new city, I look for the best coffee shop(s) in town. When I moved to El Paso West 3 years ago, one of the greatest lack I felt about the westside El Paso is a good coffee shop where they serve actually good coffee and I can also sit and work or study for a morning. Back then, there were only the 2Ten double drive-through on the westside, and BLDG 6 only had their east side location. Kinley's and Hillside are good in their own sense, but their latte...just lack the memorable taste and aroma. Many other places opened and closed within this time frame. Some of them are really just a joke unfortunately. When 2Ten and BLDG 6 open their spots on the Westside, I was more than excited! A cup of good coffee within last then 20 minutes! Oo-hoo! Among the two, I personally like 2Ten@Sunset better because of the environment, the good food, the very nice baristas, and the once in a while beyond just good cup of mocha some of the baristas pour. This is THE place where I can proudly tell other coffee-lover friends about if they plan to visit El Paso... I feel even more confident about it now after coming back from CDMX trip when I got to visited many highly recommended coffee shops. read more

Having spent nearly every week of the past 2 years of my life at G&B coffee in DTLA and Go Get em Tiger in Los Feliz, my expectations for coffee and service are very high. This past weekend I was on a family road trip to El Paso and I spent the first morning scavenging to see where I was gonna get my daily coffee fix. Without naming names I finally came here after I thought all hope was lost. I walked in to see proper grinders, acaia scales, V60's, a syphon, a mini Kyoto dripper looking thing and I thought "Finally!" Walked up to the register, was greeted by a very nice young lady, ordered a cappuccino for here. She then pointed out that they had food offerings too! I jumped on the opportunity for some avocado toast. I received my order in a timely matter and everything checked out. Finally, a roaster working on 3rd wave coffee in El Paso! Tasty espresso, smooth and creamy milk, latte art! Cap was great! (Although much larger then what I'm used to. And yes I ordered the smaller size) Avocado Toast was great! Service was great! This my favorite new spot in El Paso. It's the perfect coffee hang out. They have a nitro cold brew, a nitro latte and nitro hibiscus on draft. They also have great food. The ambiance is on point. 2Ten's third location is open and the saying "Third times a charm" hasn't ever applied more (although the other two locations are stellar in their own respect too). Each location differs in offerings, but man oh man, this one has already established it as my favorite! 2Ten is located inside The Substation plaza which was recently constructed. 2Ten embraced the modern industrial look of the Substation and brought it inside with a mixed use of metal and wood. It's beautiful. Large windows line three of the four walls, a mix of small tables and long communal bar tables are used, and in the center there's a wrap around bar where they take your order, store pastries, and concoct the delectable coffees and teas El Pasoan's know and love. The menu is different than the other two locations because 1. It offers sit down capabilities; and 2. They have breakfast and lunch offerings. They're in their soft opening at the moment so they let me know that some items on the menu weren't available (it was only the three salads so no big deal) and because the menu is on one of those old school indoor theater marquees (you know the little ones with the little white letters) I wouldn't be surprised if the menu changed slightly every season. I had to try two things I've never had at either 2Ten locations: The Toasted Coconut signature drink (a hot coffee) and the 2Ten Cookie Butter Waffles. Now both of these were out of this world delicious, but let me repeat that last part one more time: 2Ten COOKIE BUTTER WAFFLES. The 2Ten Crack Waffles... I mean 2Ten Cookie Butter Waffles are THEE reason why a foodie becomes a foodie. They don't need syrup or regular butter, they are pure cookie butter bliss! If you've never had cookie butter make this your first experience with it! The waffles obviously come with cookie butter slathered on top of light and fluffy waffles, but they also added a generous amount of strawberries so let's just take a few seconds of silence for this perfect plate of heavenly waffles... ... ... Okay, continuing on. Even my husband (who hates coconut) loved the Toasted Coconut Coffee. And yes, they have skilled baristas that will serve up your beverage with beautiful latte art. The coffee was creamy and had a white chocolate/coconut flavor. And it was served with two small chocolate biscotti (that were also very delicious). All of this is a YES! The staff made great recommendations while we were here and they really knew their menu. The chef came out and made sure our meal was perfect and as you already know, it was. And they had no problem answering my long list of questions. I already loved 2Ten, but this has shown me my heart had room to grow. The location is beautiful in a great location that is very pedestrian friendly and is all about being local. The food is AH-MAZING, the coffee is AH-MAZING, the staff is AH-MAZING, I love it all! read more
