It is well organized, full of Thousands of books for $1 dollar (Not all books are one dollar, but more than half!). They also have DVDs, and kids books.There is a big shelf as soon as you walk in filled with the books that most kids have to read for their English classes, and most for $1. And then you are finished reading your books, you can donate them back to this facility and it goes to further the efforts of the Friends of the New Orleans Public Library.....win-win!! I picked up an autographed copy of one book by a local novelist that intrigued me and I paid $20 for. The woman behind the counter was lovely to talk to as my wife and I paid for our books we had selected. I also enjoyed the chair that was nestled in one of the back aisles that you can use to read a passage from one of the books you may be looking to buy.

There is a series of book shelves devoted to her work with the coffin frame around it. They have both autographed vintage copies of her work and newer editions. They have an excellent selection of local writers and locally-based work in addition to general fiction, nonfiction, LGTBQIA+, and more. There is also the Epilogue Bar if you want to enjoy a drink while reading the book you purchased. I picked up a few books centered around NOLA that were intriguing to me. The two staff behind the front counter were chatty and friendly as we made our purchases. It's a great location to check out at The Rink building in the Garden District.
