I somehow didn't realize this was a bookstore after passing by it several times. When I finally took the time to check it out, I was pleasantly surprised to realize it was decently-sized and sold both used and new books - along with other entertainment items. I got lucky the first couple times with finding some old R.L. Stine and Sweet Valley High books I was interested in at a bargain price, but I haven't been so lucky the last few times I've stopped in.

What a great experience...walking in you find something for everyone and I stress everyone. From a great selection of books with a lot of Great Sales....to old school albums to c.ds to music instruments. A great kids selection of books and learning toys

I love this brand new book store. Plus they sell old school video game just like Disc Replay. They even sell old school records. Great selections too. The reason why I give this store 4 stars because they don't have free wifi, and a cafe coffee shop. I believe this store should get a coffee shop inside this store. I always go to Barnes & Noble in Orland Park or Oakbrook Mall or Bolingbrook or Evanston or Old Orchard Center Mall or Hawthorn Mall in Vernon Hills Illinois or Valparaiso Indiana. Other wise I love 2nd Charles as my 2nd favorite book store. I do recommend. I'm glad it's close to my house but I will still continue on traveling to Chicagoland area to go to Barnes & Noble where they have cafe inside the store. I will come back to 2nd & Charles every once in the while. I do recommend anyone to come check it out. Check out service is outstanding too. They are green company so bring your own bag or be prepared to buy a reusable one for 99 cents!

What kind of pricing is this?

This place is overpriced and filled primarily with a bunch of gimmicky crap. Don't waste your time.

There's a little of something for everyone here. I usually see the same staff faces and they're always helpful and welcoming. If you're a collector at any level, definitely stop by. I believe they even had a couple labubus if that's what you're looking for!

This place is exactly what's wrong with many collecting hobbies. Yea, the selection here is pretty…read moregood. That's mostly because the prices are terrible--worse than eBay and Facebook marketplace scalpers. Case in point: there's a pokemon illustrated set that just came out. It's $17. You can still get lucky at retailers and it'll be restocked. Here, just 2 days after launch, they're selling for $50. Just nuts. I guess it's clear this isn't a "card shop," it's a scalpers storefront. Don't go here looking for Lorcana--guessing the margins are too low. Except for their singles, which they sell for $2-4....crazy pricing for Lorcana. Anyways, i won't be back. Will have to continue my search for a card shop that's ethical and somewhat reasonable. --------- Edit in response to business reply: 1) i agree conversation could go a long way. But when your pricing on a brand new Pokémon set (which doesn't have a set market yet) is already 3x MSRP, what productive conversation can happen? It's just a straight up gouge. I'm not naive to expect to get everything at MSRP, but i think 3x markup 2 days post launch is unreasonable. 2) i did ask about Lorcana. I was told you "don't carry much" and "didn't have any right now." 3) you seem to be implying that you're aware prices are high and can then be negotiated lower. If that's how you want to do it that's your prerogative, just understand that's offputting for new customers. It's hard to want to establish a relationship and have a conversation when the first impression is being taken advantage of. And when your response to pricing questions is "well the hobby is thriving!" I don't think that's off base.

This system currently sells new for 400.00 at Walmart. Verbally over the phone the guy said, "I could give you 145.00 for it." Already a bad offer, we drive there and the guy inspects it then proceeds to tell us, "Okay 125.00." Upon telling him that he stated over the phone 145.00 and not 125.00 (which was absolutely true), he continued to lie and insist he stated 125.00. On eBay, a used Oculus Quest 2 sells for a little more than 200.00. It was a complete rip-off and he knew it but that's how he operates -- He tells the customer a price offer over the phone, the customer drives and wastes gas to get there, then while you're there, he lowers the price and says, "I didn't say that," with a bright red face flushing full of dishonesty. Really? Let's get real here. This isn't Neiman Marcus. Never again. Avoid the game playing and incompetency of people who think you're naive because your son is selling his gaming system he never plays and just wants his own money for Christmas.
