Every detail is perfect. I want to add here that having Nick and his crew working on our home has been so fun and easy. Honesty, they are so polite, punctual and neat. How many contractors vaccum every night before they leave? How many contractors would you trust to watch your dog and be sure she is safe while you are a work? How many contractors understand when your grandchild is sleeping and so they do the quiet work then. How many contractors show up every day on time and you would trust with your house key? Nick ..I will never use anyone else. Nick is our man. I also need to give huge kudos to Jeff who is amazing at crown molding and a wonderful person...also to Martin who is brilliant with staining and painting and varnishing and Mick who is so delightful and did the front doors ...not to mention Jorge who is so sweet and hard working. I need to think up another project, maybe the upstairs bathroom? Hey Nick! okay maybe next year. Professional, respectful, and highly communicative, he was always there whenever we needed him, by text, phone, or in person, if we needed reassurance, advice or progress reports he always seemed to be right on the ball. It's hard to communicate just how important this is to keep the blood pressure down while undertaking something as life altering as a major home renovation, but we always felt Fahan had it under control. Our project was completed on schedule, 7 months to do a new kitchen, master bath, staircase installation, family room and deck, plus electrical and lots of small detail work around the house. Seven months is really something considering how easily big renovations like ours can go off the rails. Horror stories abound, and we, quite literally, had none. What a huge relief. In terms of costs, Fahan was transparent and upfront with us. They estimated and invoiced all expected and unexpected costs up front, and clearly stated any potential overruns. There were some, but none that we felt were from left field, and for each one we were given options to keep in line with what we were comfortable with. We understood and signed off on everything before anything moved forward, with a comforting degree of transparency. The only downside we could see was that the pricing tended to be high. It's not entirely clear however if this was due to the current economic conditions of '22-'23 or if it's just what quality work and workmanship costs. But as they say, you get what you pay for. Overall, we felt well-taken care of throughout the process, like there was an insider who knew the business, the pitfalls and the tricks. "I trust them", were words we uttered more than once. Most of the time we weren't even at the house, only catching up on the progress on weekends, but we always knew that the work would get done and with little to no issues along the way. THe house turned out amazing. We really couldn't be happier with the work they did. Fahan's just a quality outfit, contractors and subs, that you should trust with your house too. Just top-shelf all the way. Two thumbs up.

We hired Fahan for a number of projects at our home in the Outer Sunset of San Francisco: building a new deck, extending power and plumbing to the back yard, replacing our leaky roof, providing access to the new deck from our bedroom and a number of other misc projects inside our home. All of these projects were completed on time and with superb quality. John was incredibly friendly, professional and responsive throughout the whole process. He was extremely thorough: from working with the architect to co-ordinating with all the inspectors, to introducing us to all the members on his team and what we could expect from them on a regular basis. He managed the whole project effectively by providing us with timely quotes, invoices and being diligent about addressing any follow up questions we had. If there were any unforeseen issues with the weather or supply chain issues, John kept us informed and worked around each of these issues while keeping the project on time. Every single day, his team would show up on time and work diligently while keeping us posted if they needed anything. When we wanted something updated or changed, they obliged us immediately. What was particularly impressive is that they pulled off a number of different projects working across 3-4 different groups of people! I will definitely miss them around our home. And will reach out to them we need anything built or fixed moving forward.

Victor (project manager/foreman) has everything in control, day to day, and does not forget a thing.  We interviewed four other contractors, and they couldn't come up with the right floorplan for our kitchen. We did not want to settle.  David designed our kitchen and more than doubled the size.  No problem moving plumbing or switching to gas from electric and finding a better home for our fridge. Our primary bathroom was completely gutted to add a stand-alone tub, and Superb designed a walk-in closet and additional hall closet taking a foot from the adjoining room, which you would never be able to tell. He has a crew for different sets of workmanship, and they know exactly what to do in a strategic time frame. They do not waste any time and clean up the projects beautifully every day.  We had completely gutted our kitchen and primary bathroom. Had the whole house rewired, new plumbing, new LED lights throughout the house, all new flooring on the first floor, and refinished all flooring upstairs.   Superb builders accommodated every wishlist we had.  Their workmanship is precise, clean and the crew are very helpful and pleasant to work with from beginning to end.   Our biggest appreciation is that David and Victor picked up their phones or returned texts right away 100%. They passed every inspection every time, and they have done the work beyond the requirements. We are so happy to know that all the work has been done properly and safely. We will always call Superb builders for all of our future projects.  I trust that they will get the job done right, and David can help design or find a beautiful solution to any difficult home layout you may have.  They do not just remodel a space, they can build a perfect new space. Thank you David, Victor and all the wonderful crew at Superb builders!

Additionally, the cabinet vendor he recommended had great prices and they assisted with designing the kitchen layout by providing computer drawn images using software. During project execution, Victor was an invaluable point of contact for discussing and explaining technical details about our options, especially when inevitable complications arose. When we demo'd our old kitchen we found a major code violation that was concealed and they helped us correct the issue. It cost us extra but looking back I'm happy we worked with an ethically sound contractor who does things correctly and follows the city code. Those things can be huge problems later if you try to cut corners! Overall we had a great experience with Superb Builders and would definitely hire them again. We also sometimes realizes permit drawings for other designers who would rather not go through the challenges of assemble drawings and legal documents required by cities to acquire building permits. Such was the case was the when I received a phone call. "I'm Christopher Gates and I'm working on the O. project in San Francisco and I think we're missing a real opportunity." Chris went on to explain that the upper and lower levels of the project were connected by a set of non conforming stairs, which were grandfathered in by not touching them, but were't the most enjoyable to navigate. The previous designer had elected not to touch those stairs. But Chris suggested something extraordinary: "Perhaps we can carve out some space from the adjacent closet, a bathroom, and a light well, and make a set of beautiful stairs with a skylight above that unifies the home right when you walk through the front door. Are you interested in checking it out?" As one who wants my clients to really love their new home, I was a little embarrassed that I'd miss the opportunity myself. But even more, I was super grateful for Chris's suggestion as well as his palpable enthusiasm, especially when so many architects and builders are willing just to gloss over it just to get it done quickly. "Hell yes!" I said. We scheduled a time to meet, trouble shot the challenges, and over the next 10 days, co-created an amazing solution together. Yesterday, nearly nine months since that first meeting, I had the chance to check it out the (nearly) finished project. Chris and his fantastic team had totally transformed the place, from a chopped up, piecemeal layout to a spacious, light-filled home with all the essential amenities a family needs.
