On entry to the store we were met by the store manager, Robert Morgan. We enjoyed everything about this guy... He was so fun to talk to and so interesting while he helped us find the best solution in a recumbent bike for me. We picked the Hoist Lemond Trainer. I LOVE IT! We scheduled delivery in just a few days. Tim, our brilliant delivery technician ( gentle giant ),arrived on time and got us all set up in no time! I got my first session in that same day! Again, I LOVE IT! Only one tiny hiccup I couldn't figure out why the heart rate wasn't coming on. I called Robert, our store manager, he took time out of his Saturday to swing by to show us where the wire in back of seat had simply unplugged. Great used gear, great service, and great skate sharpening!…read more I've been coming here regularly since I first started playing hockey last year. At the time I was just trying it out and wanted to get some cheap but serviceable used gear until I knew if I was going to stick with it. I was also a little nervous because I was an adult woman getting into a largely-male sport, and I know from experience with other traditionally male hobbies that that's not always the most friendly environment to go into. But these guys put all my worries to rest! (Side note, I did stick with it and now hockey is a huge and wonderful part of my life. The Dallas adult hockey community is fantastic and welcoming, so if you have ever considered it, definitely try it out! And get your starter gear from Play It Again, they're great!) They were very helpful, spent a lot of time with me finding gear my size (which was more difficult than I anticipated, since as a short woman it turns out I ride the line between juniors and seniors sizing), and gave me a lot of really useful advice about fit and style preferences. For under $100, I left with a full set of gear except a helmet, as I had to go elsewhere for that (the brand of new helmets they carry didn't have a size that fit me comfortably, sadly). I returned several times over the next few weeks as I figured out what worked for me and didn't and they were always great about helping me try different options and returning and exchanging gear with no hassle. And the gear selection they have is honestly great! In the last year I've upgraded most pieces to new ones bought elsewhere, but I still use the same shin guards and pants I got from them in the beginning--and the pants are because they are such a great pair that I can't buy a new pair that is better without spending $200. The MSRP for them new is $160....and I got them for I think $30-40! And they were in great condition apart from some messed up zippers--an easy fix! They also do great sharpening here. I get mine sharpened on a regular basis by them, and while you wouldn't think a used sports equipment store would beat out the two major hockey gear stores in the area, they definitely do. Have never had a bad sharpen from these guys, the only better you can get in the area is up in Farmers Branch. They also have a sharpening punch card, which is nice. Definitely recommend these guys!

My nordicktrack warranty sent this company out to fix my elliptical. The incline was malfunctioning…read moreso the tech fixed it, all while telling me how his bosses tell him if the problem is not what was previously diagnosed he is supposed to just act like he's doing somethingto the machine even if he isn't. Very unprofessional. I get on the machine that night and now the resistance is broken. I call back and request a different tech but they send the same one. He is so uneducated he is watching YouTube videos trying to figure out how to put my machine together and ends up shorting out my homes electricity when he plugged his phone into the outlet while the machine was also plugged it. At this point my fiance is irritated and understandably so.. and this tech leaves the house with my elliptical unable to even power on. When I keep pressing nordicktrack to send a new tech and resolve the situation suddenly this tech makes up a story to save his job saying I have illegal substances and he felt unsafe in the home when I have two children and nothing of the sort in my home.. he saw a clean tobacco pipe on the dresser that my fiance made since his career is glassblowing. What a joke! Now I have a fully broken elliptical because of this incompetent tech and nordicktrack won't send anyone back out over these false claims. If these people are servicing your warranty, try to look into other options because obviously nordicktrack doesn't pay them well enough to care about customer service in these instances. Update: I was contacted by Chase concerning this review and after some explaining on both ends he agreed to notify me when he could come make the situation right by buying the elliptical his previously employed tech broke because he will definitely be able to fix it and resell it. A week later and still waiting for a call back and Chase who has since gone back on his word and is trying to remove my honest rating of how I was treated. Seems like every level of tech, manager and owner of this company have no morals. Update 6/16/2021 Sir, you called me asking how to get the rating removed and offered to send a different tech out behind nordicktracks back for no charge and make me pay for the parts.
