From our first conversations to the planning process, through the end of our reception, 27 Entertainment went above and beyond, in particular, fielding all of our many questions, big and small - we had TONS of communication with Matthew who was always quickly responsive. Most of all, we truly felt a connection with Matthew and that he and his team listened to our needs, and valued our day as much as we did. A moment we will never forget is when Matthew gathered the bridal party before announcing everyone into the reception. He hyped us all up like crazy, and from that moment on it was an awesome party with the best energy all night long. They handled event flow, logistics, and last minute adjustments with calmness and constantly read the room just right, that everyone loved the music. They played enough of the songs that we and/or guests had requested to satisfy that need, but more importantly kept the energy up and fed off of the crowd rather than playing endless slow songs. My husband and I spent a lot of time researching bands and DJs for our November wedding. We came across 27 Entertainment and were impressed by all of the positive reviews that we read. My husband and I love to break it down on the dance floor, so we were looking for a DJ that would keep our party going. 27 Entertainment definitely did not disappoint! They played the exact music we were looking for that kept everyone dancing all night long! The two DJs even came out on the dance floor themselves to bust a few moves! It made the party that much more fun!! Here is a breakdown of the help we received from Elliot and Mike: - Personal call three weeks ahead of the big day to discuss the timeline? Check. Not only did Mike and Elliot reach out to us multiple times, but they endured every nitty-gritty, detailed-filled phone call that we bombarded them with. The attentive service and the "your-opinion-first" attitude will keep even the most stressed of couples calm. - Tailored Playlist. One of my biggest worries was how the music would go throughout the night. I don't know about you, but I have been to WAY too many weddings where the DJ plays an obscure slow song after a huge crowd-pleaser like "Shout" or "Footloose", or even cuts off songs mid-groove even though people are out there busting a move. I had about 100 specific songs in mind that I wanted played throughout the evening, but was hesitant to just hand over a Spotify playlist and say "Play this, nothing else,". In fact, that is EXACTLY what we did, and Elliot was ecstatic! Whether you want to be completely hands on or completely hands off with the music selection is up to you; they will handle both with the same trademark professionalism and care. - They make it flow all night long. The coolest thing that happened mid-reception was that our power went out from a huge storm. I know, disaster-making stuff right there. But it was right in the middle of "Africa" by Toto and the entire crowd just kept singing on through the chorus. Where do I even begin with this review! Is perfection enough to say? 27 entertainment was recommended to me by my best friend who used them for her wedding! I was a bridesmaid at this wedding and I remember never leaving that dance floor! When it was time to plan my own wedding there was never a question in DJ! 27 was exactly what I knew I wanted! We sat down and had a FaceTime meeting with Matthew Fayson and told him exactly what we wanted! He kept up with us every few weeks just to make sure we were doing okay in our music selection process as we needed to combine several genres and cultures! As time drew closer, we were introduced to the duo that made our wedding everything!!! Sterling and Malcolm! These two were just absolutely amazing! The music has been the number one thing talked about from our guests! And my mission as the bride was completed I very rarely left the dance floor! I want to also mention one specific moment in which I will be eternally grateful for our DJs! My now husband booked a mariachi for me and this band was to play during dinner. Everyone including the DJs new about this and we were all on the same page. Unfortunately the mariachi decided to show up late and completely threw off our timeline. We were lucky enough to have Wade and Tim as our DJ's and we seriously canNOT say enough great things about the both of them. Pre-wedding, they really took the time to understand what we wanted, we even met with one or both of them a few times before the wedding just so they could fully understand how we wanted everything to be. My husband is Ukrainian, and with that comes a lot of family members with first and last names hard to pronounce and they were so great about making sure they said all of them correctly...and they did the day of! They kept all of our guests out on the dance floor the ENTIRE night, knew which songs to play at the right time..our guests were dancing so much we had many of them tell us the next day their hips would never be the same! I seriously don't even know how to put into words how happy we were with 27 Entertainment. We had a vision for our wedding when it came to the music/entertainment and we saw it come true. The only negative thing I can say about the company is that my husband and I don't get to see Wade and Tim anymore! :-( They make you feel so comfortable throughout the whole (stressful) process, you feel like you've known them for years. From start to finish, 27 Entertainment helped to make our wedding a day simply amazing. We initially signed on for just their DJ service, they were highly recommended to us by another couple, and we are so happy that we chose them. Mike was awesome to work with and was just as excited as we were leading up to the day itself. We hired Matthew and 27 Entertainment for our wedding in June 2018. My husband and I live abroad and we were having a wedding celebration for my family in NW Indiana. At the end of our Facetime interview, I told Matthew "Is it bad that I don't want to interview any other DJs and just go ahead and hire you?" We worked with Mike (the general manager) and Tim (our DJ) from 27 Entertainment for our July 2017 wedding, and we couldn't have been more pleased! They are both very nice, organized, accommodating, and easy to talk to. Before your wedding, 27 Entertainment provides you with access to an online portal, so you can do your ceremony and reception planning. They also allow you to pay the balance in increments (as opposed to one lump-sum payment), which is SO, SO helpful. Throughout the planning process, whenever I had a question, Mike and Tim always got back to me very quickly. Additionally, about a week and a half before our wedding, we met with Tim (he drove to us in Chicago) to make sure we were all on the same page. On the wedding day, Tim and Jarrett (the DJ and his assistant) were awesome!!! Our ceremony was beautiful and the reception was a blast! Tim was on top of the timeline (bridal party introductions, speeches, first dance, etc.) and made sure my husband and I knew what was happening next. From start to finish our experience with 27 entertainment was AMAZING. We planned long distance and everyone was so accommodating and readily available to talk or answer questions. We planned everything with Jill- who could not have been any more helpful. She walked us through everything and made us feel very confident in our DJ company choice. I probably asked her for the same "most played" lists about 5 times and she would respond with no frustration. She paired us with Dan who fit our personalities PERFECTLY! I'll be honest, I didn't really know what to expect but he blew us away! I, the bride, NEVER left the dance floor because I was having way too much fun. He truly kept the energetic vibe going. Kyle came as well and was very helpful. We said we wanted a "frat-tacular" experience that would keep people on the dance floor and they gave us that and so much more. We hired 27Entertainment for our wedding reception after meeting them and a few other DJ businesses, and it was clear that this company and crew is professional, organized and FUN. We worked personally with Matthew, Chris, Ray with some added dance moves from Sterling. It was truly a pleasure to talk about the wedding with Matthew. He provided so much enthusiasm and reassurance to get us excited about the the evening to come. I can be a bit neurotic (as I'm sure a lot of people planning a wedding are) and Matthew was so quick with responses to any questions or concerns I had about song selections timeline, etc. Our DJ for the night was Chris, who was wonderful on the mic, announcing everything throughout the night and keeping the evening on track. He and the other DJ, Ray, were just amazing with the music - there was no time when the dance floor was empty! 27 Entertainment was a breeze to work with! From our first meeting with Jill to our DJ Marc, everyone was awesome. The online planning tools make your wedding run smoothly. I liked the option of having them do our ceremony music since our venue could only run a playlist off an iPod. They also did the music for our cocktail hour, providing our guests with the smooth sounds we chose. We gave Marc a list of artists and he created the cocktail hour and dinner playlists to set the mood. They also allow you to have lists of must plays, maybe plays, and do not plays. We cut our reception short because a majority of our guests left early (it was a Friday), but those who stayed were on the dance floor until the very end. Our wedding was September 17, 2016. From the first time I met with Mike Kane I had an amazing experience. He got us a great deal with the up lighting and dance floor lights. My DJ was Elliot and he was also amazing! He spent time with me going over everything from what songs I wanted and when, to where I wanted the up lighting and he even explained to me how the dance floor lights work! Any time I went up to him and asked jim to play a song it was played immediately! He did a great job keeping everyone on the dance floor and having fun- which was exactly what I wanted!
