Our May wedding was the BEST DAY EVER, and 27 Entertainment were integral in making that happen. My husband and I are still blown away and can't stop talking about how awesome Matthew and Sterling were! Every single one of our guests absolutely raved about our DJs and made a point to mention how crazy, fun, and unlike any other wedding DJs they'd seen. These guys seriously brought the house down, and if you want to elevate your party to be something insanely fun and memorable, look no further - these guys are (L)IT. Having great music and a killer party for our loved ones were at the very top of our priorities for our wedding, and 27 Entertainment went above and beyond. When we envisioned our night, we wanted our crazy friends and family tearing up the dance floor all the way to the very end of the night, and we got it thanks to this crew. I did a fair amount of research in the Chicagoland area, and time and again I would come across 27 Entertainment as the industry standard with the best bang for your buck. There's a reason they're so popular. Matthew and his team bring a rare balance of professionalism and party mood to the table. From our first conversations to the planning process, through the end of our reception, 27 Entertainment went above and beyond, in particular, fielding all of our many questions, big and small - we had TONS of communication with Matthew who was always quickly responsive. Most of all, we truly felt a connection with Matthew and that he and his team listened to our needs, and valued our day as much as we did. A moment we will never forget is when Matthew gathered the bridal party before announcing everyone into the reception. He hyped us all up like crazy, and from that moment on it was an awesome party with the best energy all night long. They handled event flow, logistics, and last minute adjustments with calmness and constantly read the room just right, that everyone loved the music. They played enough of the songs that we and/or guests had requested to satisfy that need, but more importantly kept the energy up and fed off of the crowd rather than playing endless slow songs. We trusted these guys to use their best judgment, which they did. And, they danced their butts off with us and our guests! We only wish we had both gotten more time on the dance floor with everyone! HIRE THEM!! read more

My husband and I spent a lot of time researching bands and DJs for our November wedding. We came across 27 Entertainment and were impressed by all of the positive reviews that we read. My husband and I love to break it down on the dance floor, so we were looking for a DJ that would keep our party going. 27 Entertainment definitely did not disappoint! They played the exact music we were looking for that kept everyone dancing all night long! The two DJs even came out on the dance floor themselves to bust a few moves! It made the party that much more fun!! It was awesome to see everyone, DJs included, enjoying themselves. 27 Entertainment also did an amazing job of recognizing the songs and type of music would clear the dance floor a little, and would immediately switch gears to get people on the floor again. We had SO SO many compliments from our guests, saying 27 Entertainment were the best DJs they had ever seen! We also hired 27 Entertainment for uplighting at our reception. Even with that, they did an awesome job of lighting up our venue beautifully. They matched the colors and theme perfectly. The planning process with 27 Entertainment was super easy and super smooth. We loved having the access to the online planning forms because we were able to fill them out on our own time; it definitely helped us plan the best party of our lives. Through the conversations with had with 27 Entertainment and through the use of the online planning tools, we had peace of mind that everything would go exactly the way we wanted. We are BEYOND happy that we hired 27 Entertainment for our wedding reception. They definitely seem to love what they do! People may not remember the flowers or other small things at our wedding, but they will FOR SURE remember the party and the awesome time that they had, thanks in large part to 27 Entertainment!! read more

So you've probably read the other reviews, you've probably been impressed, and you should look no further than 27 Entertainment to DJ your wedding. Here is a breakdown of the help we received from Elliot and Mike: - Personal call three weeks ahead of the big day to discuss the timeline? Check. Not only did Mike and Elliot reach out to us multiple times, but they endured every nitty-gritty, detailed-filled phone call that we bombarded them with. The attentive service and the "your-opinion-first" attitude will keep even the most stressed of couples calm. - Tailored Playlist. One of my biggest worries was how the music would go throughout the night. I don't know about you, but I have been to WAY too many weddings where the DJ plays an obscure slow song after a huge crowd-pleaser like "Shout" or "Footloose", or even cuts off songs mid-groove even though people are out there busting a move. I had about 100 specific songs in mind that I wanted played throughout the evening, but was hesitant to just hand over a Spotify playlist and say "Play this, nothing else,". In fact, that is EXACTLY what we did, and Elliot was ecstatic! Whether you want to be completely hands on or completely hands off with the music selection is up to you; they will handle both with the same trademark professionalism and care. - They make it flow all night long. The coolest thing that happened mid-reception was that our power went out from a huge storm. I know, disaster-making stuff right there. But it was right in the middle of "Africa" by Toto and the entire crowd just kept singing on through the chorus. Elliot was so proactive that we followed along our singing in his head, kept the track playing, and brought it right back in where we were at in the song a minute later! Book them. Your wedding will be better for it. read more

Where do I even begin with this review! Is perfection enough to say? 27 entertainment was recommended to me by my best friend who used them for her wedding! I was a bridesmaid at this wedding and I remember never leaving that dance floor! When it was time to plan my own wedding there was never a question in DJ! 27 was exactly what I knew I wanted! We sat down and had a FaceTime meeting with Matthew Fayson and told him exactly what we wanted! He kept up with us every few weeks just to make sure we were doing okay in our music selection process as we needed to combine several genres and cultures! As time drew closer, we were introduced to the duo that made our wedding everything!!! Sterling and Malcolm! These two were just absolutely amazing! The music has been the number one thing talked about from our guests! And my mission as the bride was completed I very rarely left the dance floor! I want to also mention one specific moment in which I will be eternally grateful for our DJs! My now husband booked a mariachi for me and this band was to play during dinner. Everyone including the DJs new about this and we were all on the same page. Unfortunately the mariachi decided to show up late and completely threw off our timeline. Fortunately, Malcolm came to the rescue and began playing songs from that playlist! Both Malcolm and sterling never missed and beat and our guests had no idea that anything was missing! We could not be happier with our day and with their service! read more

From the beginning, Matthew was absolutely amazing! He was super responsive to our questions and concerns and always remained professional. Throughout the process of planning, Matthew made sure the focus was on us and our day. He was supportive of what we wanted and encouraged us to think about things we may have note otherwise thought about. He made the process so simple and efficient. Once our wedding day arrived, I was nervous about the music, as I am a control freak. Matthew and Sterling NAILED IT!!! The music they played was on point for us and our guests. In addition to the music, Matthew and Sterling's dance moves really helped to hype up our crowd. Our dance floor was never empty! It was awesome to see DJ's who were able to play the music and keep the energy up for the entire evening. They even went above and beyond by helping out with our ring toss (we did this instead of clanking glasses for us to kiss). Sterling kept running to make sure our guests always had the rings available. After our wedding, many people commented on how amazing the DJ's were. I cannot even count how many people told me the DJ's were the best they had seen and were so much fun. I was asked countless times who they worked for and how to get in touch with them. My wedding was 5/12/18, and people are STILL talking about how awesome the DJ's were. If you are looking to book a DJ for any event, look no further! 27 Entertainment is the best choice you could make! read more

YOU HAVE to book 27 Entertainment!! One word: AMAZZZZZZZZZZZZZZINGGGGGGGGGG!! We were lucky enough to have Wade and Tim as our DJ's and we seriously canNOT say enough great things about the both of them. Pre-wedding, they really took the time to understand what we wanted, we even met with one or both of them a few times before the wedding just so they could fully understand how we wanted everything to be. My husband is Ukrainian, and with that comes a lot of family members with first and last names hard to pronounce and they were so great about making sure they said all of them correctly...and they did the day of! They kept all of our guests out on the dance floor the ENTIRE night, knew which songs to play at the right time..our guests were dancing so much we had many of them tell us the next day their hips would never be the same! I seriously don't even know how to put into words how happy we were with 27 Entertainment. We had a vision for our wedding when it came to the music/entertainment and we saw it come true. The only negative thing I can say about the company is that my husband and I don't get to see Wade and Tim anymore! :-( They make you feel so comfortable throughout the whole (stressful) process, you feel like you've known them for years. The whole company is like that too. Anytime we had a question we would email them and Mike Kane or someone would get back to us. Stop looking...go with 27 Entertainment!!!! read more

From start to finish, 27 Entertainment helped to make our wedding a day simply amazing. We initially signed on for just their DJ service, they were highly recommended to us by another couple, and we are so happy that we chose them. Mike was awesome to work with and was just as excited as we were leading up to the day itself. After quickly bonding over our music preferences and choices, Mike continued to be organized and thorough over the course of the entire planning process. we would have been lost with out him! As we continued to plan our wedding, unforeseen circumstances pointed in the direction of 27 Entrainment's Videography services. With the absence of a pivotal person in our wedding, we wanted to make sure we could capture everything, so that the day could be revisited. Not only was our videography request on very short notice, but it was almost like they had been on standby the whole time. AGAIN, we were taken back by how awesome everyone at 27 Entertainment was to work with. both videographers went above and beyond to capture the nuances of our wedding day. (hats off to them for working so close with our photographer, who was from a totally different company) Not only would we recommend 27 Entertainment to anyone, but we will be pushing our friends to them as well! Thanks again 27, you all worked so hard for us and made our wedding day a day that we will never forget!!! read more

Y our search for a wedding DJ can end here. 27 Entertainment will exceed your expectations every step of the way. My wife charged me with one thing for our wedding; "hire the DJ, and they better be great." During our initial meeting, Matthew and his team spent time getting to know us as a couple. They wanted to be able to create a highly specific, personalized event that we would be excited to share with our family and guests. The team was very proactive, communicated often, and were very helpful as we made decisions about how the evening would unfold. Their professionalism was fantastic; they graciously served as an MC while ensuring the event stayed focus on us. They knew the sound and vibe we wanted for each moment and delivered it perfectly. Then came the dancing and music. The floor was poppin. Immediately, people flooded the dance floor as they expertly mixed songs together. Even the people who say, "oh I don't dance", danced. They're the type of DJs where your guests will scream, "where did you find them, they're the best I've ever heard?!" They demonstrate that the DJ can make or break the evening and 27 Entertainment absolutely made our night. Wedding planning is fun, but can be stressful. Hire 27 Entertainment and you'll be able to sit back, relax, enjoy your day, and then smile as they blow your guests away. read more

We hired Matthew and 27 Entertainment for our wedding in June 2018. My husband and I live abroad and we were having a wedding celebration for my family in NW Indiana. At the end of our Facetime interview, I told Matthew "Is it bad that I don't want to interview any other DJs and just go ahead and hire you?" He laughed and said he was happy to hear this, but encouraged me to look around. I didn't. I went ahead and made the deposit as soon as I could. Matthew and 27 Entertainment did not disappoint! They were prepared and ready to go! They helped get the party started. We loved their dancing and they played what we had requested on their website. They have set the bar very high with my family and friends for wedding DJs! I kept getting asked "Where did you find these guys?" A bonus is the online planning tools on their website help to plan and organize the reception. The other reviews I am reading are so accurate...professional, responsive, supportive and positive! I remember I told him that I feared no one would dance at my wedding and he reassured me that he would get my family dancing and he did! If you like to have fun and dance Matthew and 27 Entertainment are the right DJ for you!!! We honestly feel so lucky that we were able to have them on our wedding day! read more

We worked with Mike (the general manager) and Tim (our DJ) from 27 Entertainment for our July 2017 wedding, and we couldn't have been more pleased! They are both very nice, organized, accommodating, and easy to talk to. Before your wedding, 27 Entertainment provides you with access to an online portal, so you can do your ceremony and reception planning. They also allow you to pay the balance in increments (as opposed to one lump-sum payment), which is SO, SO helpful. Throughout the planning process, whenever I had a question, Mike and Tim always got back to me very quickly. Additionally, about a week and a half before our wedding, we met with Tim (he drove to us in Chicago) to make sure we were all on the same page. On the wedding day, Tim and Jarrett (the DJ and his assistant) were awesome!!! Our ceremony was beautiful and the reception was a blast! Tim was on top of the timeline (bridal party introductions, speeches, first dance, etc.) and made sure my husband and I knew what was happening next. Throughout the reception, he would also pull us aside to ask how he was doing and if he should play any other song or type of music. I so highly recommend 27 Entertainment for any event!!! read more

From start to finish our experience with 27 entertainment was AMAZING. We planned long distance and everyone was so accommodating and readily available to talk or answer questions. We planned everything with Jill- who could not have been any more helpful. She walked us through everything and made us feel very confident in our DJ company choice. I probably asked her for the same "most played" lists about 5 times and she would respond with no frustration. She paired us with Dan who fit our personalities PERFECTLY! I'll be honest, I didn't really know what to expect but he blew us away! I, the bride, NEVER left the dance floor because I was having way too much fun. He truly kept the energetic vibe going. Kyle came as well and was very helpful. We said we wanted a "frat-tacular" experience that would keep people on the dance floor and they gave us that and so much more. All of the age groups were very pleased- 5 year olds up to 90 year olds. :) Everyone had a great time thanks to the amazing atmosphere Dan and Kyle presented. I used to plan weddings for multiple hotels and hands down 27 entertainment has blown any other DJ I have seen out of the water. Amazing experience all around. read more

Where to start with 27 Entertainment ... :) BEST DJs EVER!!!! I could not be more pleased with the DJ service provided by Jill and Mike. If there's one thing that I think makes a wedding, it's the DJ-so I knew it was a bit of a splurge that was well worth it! I interviewed many DJs beforehand and did a lot of research but nothing stacked up to what 27 Entertainment brought to the table. Throughout the entire process, I was fortunate enough to work with Jill and have her help every step of the way. Jill was extremely knowledgable in the whole process and really provided me an outlet to create the wedding soundtrack of my dreams! Cannot thank her enough :) 27 entertainment did both my music for the ceremony and reception. The ceremony music was PERFECT and the reception music had EVERYBODY dancing all night long! All my guests came up to me or my family afterwards and kept telling us how awesome are DJ was! The guests loved the variety of music being played and how they kept the party energy going all night long. So, look no further for a DJ-27 entertainment is the one to choose!! THANK YOU SO MUCH!! read more

We hired 27 entertainment for our wedding this past December. When we discussed what our expectations were for our wedding music we had one big request...make it a huge party! Matthew and Sterling did not disappoint and they were the talk of the wedding!!! When I looked up reviews prior to our big day people were saying that Matthew and Sterling were awesome and would be out dancing with everyone on the dance floor. I figured they would come out for a song now and then....NO....Sterling was out on the dance floor rocking it right from the start and Matthew joined in whenever possible! We couldn't help but smile and dance along just because they put all of our guests in such a good mood! They completed our wedding in every way possible and made the music selection process so easy. I felt that I was in good hands right from the start and I would recommend 27 entertainment, and especially Matthew and Sterling if you are looking to have a fun entertaining wedding where your guests will be talking about the awesome DJs for years to come. read more

There's something wonderful about the bride and groom loving their wedding DJ, but it's even better when all your family and friends love the DJ, too! 27 Entertainment is the BEST IN THE BIZ. Matthew wasn't just some dude playing music in the corner--he CELEBRATED with us! He had our wedding party pumped up before intros, he was dancing with us, partying with us--and on top of that, he was kind, courteous, and professional! The dance floor was full ALL night. My friends and family kept saying how sore they were from dancing all night, and felt like that was the most they've ever danced in their lives! One of my favorite moments--Soulja boy-ing with Matthew!! 27E brought it, they killed it--they really made our wedding the fun and amazing time that it was! But really, Matthew and Sterling are some really cool guys who know how to have fun and I felt like they were one of our friends out there with us--what more could you want on your wedding day? read more

27 Entertainment was a breeze to work with! From our first meeting with Jill to our DJ Marc, everyone was awesome. The online planning tools make your wedding run smoothly. I liked the option of having them do our ceremony music since our venue could only run a playlist off an iPod. They also did the music for our cocktail hour, providing our guests with the smooth sounds we chose. We gave Marc a list of artists and he created the cocktail hour and dinner playlists to set the mood. They also allow you to have lists of must plays, maybe plays, and do not plays. We cut our reception short because a majority of our guests left early (it was a Friday), but those who stayed were on the dance floor until the very end. The uplighting in the venue brought an extra element of magic to our special day. The lighting during the party was a hit as well. Big thanks to Marc and his team! read more

STOP WHAT YOU'RE DOING AND BOOK THESE GUYS. Hands down, 27e is the reason our wedding was A BLAST for every single one of our guests! A party of a lifetime. They truly are entertainers and the best in their craft. Never have we ever been to a wedding that had that much energy, skill, and fun. We hired the best DJ's we've ever witnessed and were proud of it. They created an experience we will never forget, nor be able to surpass. We were blessed to have found them! Whenever our wedding is in discussion, our friends still rave about Matt and his team. They honestly couldn't believe the amount of people who stayed on the dance floor all night and the hype man who got out there with them. They loved it! Their minds were blown. It made the experience like non other. Thank you 27e for truly making our wedding day the best wedding we've ever been to! ;) read more

Our wedding was September 17, 2016. From the first time I met with Mike Kane I had an amazing experience. He got us a great deal with the up lighting and dance floor lights. My DJ was Elliot and he was also amazing! He spent time with me going over everything from what songs I wanted and when, to where I wanted the up lighting and he even explained to me how the dance floor lights work! Any time I went up to him and asked jim to play a song it was played immediately! He did a great job keeping everyone on the dance floor and having fun- which was exactly what I wanted! Great pricing, worth every penny! Even the wedding coordinator for Cloister in the Woods, where our wedding reception was, said he loved 27 Entertainment and is going to refer all of his clients to them! Thank you for making my wedding a blast! -Natasha Wojciechowski Johnson read more

Where do I begin with our experience with 27 Entertainment? From the very beginning Matt has been AMAZING. Since we are from out of town, he facetimed us to get to know us. Every step along the way he would answer questions for us. The wedding was an absolute HIT. From the way he announced the bridal party, to even suggesting my parents and the grooms parents to be announced (never thought of that- GENIUS), to lighting up the dance floor. We have had nothing but rave reviews from all of our guests about how the dance floor never stopped. Matt and his team were so professional, so fun, and down to party with us. We had the most epic hypeman one could ever imagine-- he even got the grandmas out on the dance floor! We loved working with 27E and they made our wedding day go on without a hitch! Thank you guys!!!! read more

Book. Them. NOW!!! You will not find a better DJ. Matthew made the planning process for our wedding so stress free and easy and was always available for any questions we had along the way. We were lucky enough to have an entire crew of the guys at our wedding and it was truly the most amazing experience ever. The second the first song played the party did not end until the very last one! Our guests can not stop talking about how much fun they had and how awesome these guys are. I will 1000% recommend them to everyone I know. Worried about cost? They are worth every single penny and more!! Huge thank you to every single one of you at 27 Entertainment. You made our wedding day absolutely unforgettable and we hope we get the opportunity to attend another event with you guys in the future! read more
