Honestly, he helped keep me on track with all of the planning besides his own responsibilities. He made sure I had everything else lined up as well, which was really appreciated. Not only did he keep the music going all night but he also did tons of background work to make sure everything ran smoothly. He coordinated with the photographer and caterer to make the entire event run seamlessly. We had to swap out decorations in between the ceremony and receptions because it was held at the same venue and he even helped with that! I don't have a single bad thing to say about the service. He was worth every penny. All of his equipment is very high quality and most if it is wireless, which affords him a lot of flexibility to equipment location. He is very familiar with all of the equipment. Not once was there any feedback from any of the microphones or complaints about the sound being too soft or loud. The music always flowed well from one song into the next, which kept the dance floor full and active. That is not just my opinion. He was also complemented by several guests across all aspects of his work, lighting, music, coordination and general helpfulness. If I have missed something, it is safe to say that he also did that exceedingly well too. My only regret is not getting these reviews done sooner. He really does deserve it!

He was very informative with the groom and I on letting us know what would be next like toasts and such. Joe also was very helpful in the planning process, he was quick to text back if we had any questions. The app that we could load songs onto was very easy to use and kept everything organized. Joe had the dance floor packed all night long! Would highly recommend Amplified Events for your wedding DJ!

Mike has awesome online tools to save songs that you do or don't want played, what people to introduce, and a timeline of events. He's willing to go over anything with you and makes you feel like any question is okay. One of my pet peeves is when I feel anxious around vendors to ask questions or schedule appointments, but Mike made everything so smooth. He'd be willing to meet up whenever to talk in person or over the phone. It was just as great then on the day of. Mike was friendly and took the time to learn each one of my wedding party's names (which isn't easy). He was also flexible with the timeline when things came up. The best thing though was how many compliments we got on how great the music was. He truly did an amazing job. And his post about our wedding the day after really warmed my heart, too. Thank you, Mike!

Honestly, the only reason this company got one star is because the lighting they provided for our…read morewedding was decent. To say that Chris is unprofessional would be an understatement. We spent over $3000 for lighting and a DJ and I honestly could have had a better experience by making a playlist on my iPhone and hooking it up to a speaker. Chris was rude to one of my guests who was helping my videographer set up a slow motion video booth. He was most likely bitter that I had not chosen his ridiculously expensive photo booth option. My friend, who helped me hire the videographers, essentially gave me the slow motion video booth as a wedding gift, and Chris acted like he stole money from him. The worst part of the night wasn't the fact that he was rude to a guest, nor was it his lack of enthusiasm when doing any sort of announcement, and it honestly wasn't even that he couldn't follow rules that he specifically outlined with regards to the playlist (why would you play a song that I specifically requested to NOT to play)...it was the fact that the dj that I spent a good portion of my budget on LEFT the dj booth WITH HIS ASSISTANT to go outside and smoke! Now Chris will claim that he "set up a playlist" but I can tell you, and my guests can confirm, that whatever "playlist" he created was just a loop of Whitney Huston "I wanna dance with somebody". After the second time it played, (mind you, he or his assistant have not come back to check on their dj booth) one of my guests tried to simply hit "next" on his computer. Then the song started skipping. All the while, Chris and his assistant were nowhere to be found. I couldn't believe it. To make matters worse, Chris continued to screw things up for the rest of the night, replaying not songs that had already played, playing songs that weren't even on our list, etc. Do not give this man your money! You will not be satisfied. Horrible horrible horrible.

The wrong song was played for the groom and mother dance then played later in the evening then blamed it on us (when the correct song is on the dj paperwork that we gave him) the reception entry names were mixed up when we discussed it the night before the wedding. The music was extremely quiet for reception entry. They played the father daughter dance for the guests after my dad and I had danced to it. They were denying guest requests. the cherry on top is yelling at my guests across the room (when there was a microphone literally at the dj stand) then stating there was yelling because there was no mic. The dj also got up to eat before the parents of the bride and groom even ate. We are extremely disappointed in the lack of professionalism as promised. Please please please reconsider using them as a service

He…read moreeasily juggled the dance and background music with all the karaoke singing by various guests professionally and with such an amiable attitude. I was thrilled. Chris proved he's a seasoned pro and a really nice guy! He was on time, and despite typical pre-party chaos, he was calm and unobtrusive as he set up before guests arrived. He knows his stuff and interpreted my musical suggestions and tastes perfectly. When guests finally got up the courage to start singing, Chris handled the many requests without any fuss. He was also able to modulate keys of different songs for singers who needed a song in a higher or lower pitch. That was a big help for those of us who aren't exactly "material" for The Voice. ;-). Thanks to Chris for making my party a blast.

If I could give zero stars, I would. This is going to be a long review, so here's a brief summary…read moreof my experience. We ended up terminating services with Bill 10 days before our wedding due to the lack of communication, unprofessionalism and the disregard for our requests. Money was tight leading up to the wedding, but we knowingly cancelled services even though we would still have to pay in full because of the lack of confidence we had in him. If you're still reading, please prepare yourself for my experiences with him: We booked Bill the summer of '24 for our wedding that just took place a couple of days ago (April '25). We talked to him on the phone, and he presented himself to us with quite the ego. He kept telling us that he was the best, he was a professional and that everyone loved him. We were also told that he would provide us with links to his work, but no links were sent. We still picked him because of the good reviews. Fast forward to the end of March, I reached out to Bill about 2.5 weeks before our wedding because I had not heard from him since we booked him. I asked to do a phone call meeting to go over everything for the wedding, and I sent him a very detailed schedule/notes to look over prior to our call. On the day of our scheduled call, he indeed did NOT call me like he said he was going to. Instead, I waited 20 minutes past the scheduled time and then I called him. We talked on the phone, and we did not go over much for the wedding because he told me that he did not even look over any of the notes I sent him. I was pretty frustrated that he was late (if you can call it that, since I had to call him) and unprepared. I marched on and started asking him questions to which his replies were "don't stress," "everyone loves me," "I've done this before," which is exactly what every stressed bride wants to hear, am I right? He was very condescending and overtly dismissive throughout the entire 10 minutes on the phone. He then goes on to tell me that he has a music list of over 2,000 songs that he would like us to go through for the wedding, and I asked him to send me those links of his work that he talked about at the initial booking call. After this call, we went through the list, and it said to return completed 2 weeks prior to the wedding day, which was only a couple days from when we received the list. Not only should we have received this list probably months in advance, but also the spreadsheet was literally labeled "Copy of Songlist - 2010." The label was very accurate because there was not a single song on there from after the year 2010, and the spreadsheet sent to us had markings on it already, which showed us that this was probably someone else's sheet. His behavior and lack of preparedness did not instill any semblance of confidence in us. We looked back at our contract, and it said we would owe him the full amount if cancelled within 60 (!!!) days prior to our event. Keep in mind the 60 days because it will be important later. We decided to keep him because it was super last minute to find a new DJ. Due to the lack of confidence, we decided we needed to meet him in person to go over everything before the wedding, so we sent him another email to schedule that. We were very specific on our availability times (ex. "Wednesday, April 9th after 2:30pm" etc), so there would be no confusion. Low and behold, there was confusion. I was emailed 20 minutes after the in person meeting time one week BEFORE we were actually supposed to meet stating that he was waiting at the Panera. We were very confused and reminded Bill that our meeting was not for another week. He proceeded to tell us that he drove an hour and a half to meet us and if we could still come by. We replied saying that we had other obligations, which is why we did not list that date in our availability. This was the final thing that pushed us to terminate services with him. He was not reliable, prompt or able to follow explicit directions. It also showed me that he did not save my phone number because he only communicated with us over email when the meet up incident occurred. This meant he was never going to call me for the initial phone call meeting, and we never would have chatted if I did not call him. When we sent our concise termination of services email to him 10 days before the wedding, he replied very unprofessionally. His email was riddled with spelling, punctuation and grammatical errors to which we deemed no reply was necessary. We decided to eat the price and find a new DJ to which we are so happy we did. One day before our wedding, he sent us an invoice for the remaining balance, which we knew we were going to pay. In his note attached to the invoice, he wrote that we signed a contract and had to cancel 90 days before the event. Bill obviously did not even read his own contract because it said 60 days in the one we signed. We paid it, but we would definitely recommend to NOT book with Bill. Literally find ANYONE else.
