I need to warn everyone about my recent experience with 2545 Salon & Spa (875 Gibsons Way #102) On October 14, 2025 I paid $93.45 (tax in) for an "Unlimited Monthly Tanning Pass". What actually happened: -Used it successfully only three times. -Next three visits (during posted hours) the salon was randomly closed. The first 2 times had no notice. The third time, just a sticky note saying "understaffed, appointments only and to call the Sechelt location. -I called asking what was going on and if I could get a refund or extension since I tried numerous times to use my package. It's only for a month so I only have so much time to use it and when the hours on google are posted as OPEN, I should be able to access the beds. Owner Lauralye replied by email, said I was being aggressive on the phone and banned me. Completely false information. I never even raised my voice so this one threw me for a loop. When I kept asking for my money back, she permanently banned me in the same email thread. They offered a partial refund which was never received. I left a 100% factual 1-star Google review with receipts attached they got it removed/hidden. Now they are leaving themselves fake google review. Laughable. When I kept pushing, they threatened me with legal action and accused me of being "aggressive" (I have every email -- I was nothing but polite the entire time). Zero refund, zero apology. So yeah - they have no problem stealing people's hard-earned money, then threatening to sue you if you dare speak up. I cannot believe I have to go through this for ninety-three freaking dollars that they simply decided to keep. I have my receipt, and the entire email chain (including the ban, the legal threats, the fake "aggressive" accusation, and the deleted review). Happy to privately show everything to anyone who messages me. Please think twice before you hand this place any prepaid money - tanning packages, gift cards, whatever. I've now had to file with Civil Resolution Tribunal (CRT) and my credit card company for a chargeback. Just posting this so nobody else in Gibsons loses almost $100 and then gets threatened for daring to complain. Sad that it has come to this but I have exhausted every option and tried my best to deal with this privately. Unfortunately I have been pushed too far. It's almost Christmas and these days, every dollar makes a difference. This is my hard earned money after all. Support local... but not when the local business keeps your money, deletes your review, and threatens to sue you for telling the truth. read more

I had a manicure and pedicure done as well as a trim. This was my first time at the salon. I was disappointed. The person at the front was not particularly attentive. I had to wait a few minutes out front. I was not offered any refreshments. The technician was friendly, but the service I selected did not include all the parts of a manicure, when I asked about it I was informed that the service I chose did not include it, I wasn't offered an upgrade. During filing, I had to point out several areas where the nail had not been completely smoothed out. When I left the salon I noticed that the polish was a bit streaky and thin in some areas. Overall, it was not the pampering spa experience I had looked forward to. It was expensive and I don't think the service matched the price. This is something I had splurged on. The room was painted dark or black and had signs of wear and tear everywhere. The lighting was too bright, and the bed was covered in obviously well-used and worn towels. Music was irritating not relaxing. Next time I will go somewhere else, or wait until I'm in the city where service is better. read more

First time in the salon, Got my hard gel nails done by their new nail tech... the nails were decent but the tech was quite rude in numerous ways and overcharged me 20$. I asked ahead of time how much a fill would be, (55$) And mentioned that a couple of my nails had fallen off and was told it would be no problem, was then charged 75$ for a solid colour and no decals. The tech was rushing me out of the door because the client booked after me arrived. She completely ignored my concerns, decent nails but will not book again. The hair stylists here are all VERY down to earth and professional. Since it's an Aveda salon, you know you are getting the best recommendations for the health of your hair and our planet too! I have had my hair cut/coloured here as well as waxing services and they were delivered exactly as anticipated. This salon also has a HUGE product selection (makeup, haircare, skincare, hair tools, etc.) I need to take a minute to rave about the Aveda chapstick (lip saver). I had lips that were flaking and in under 24 hours of use they were fully healed and feeling uber moisturized/soft. My boyfriend also swears by the mens pomade. Overall a great experience for this salon, highly recommended whether you live here or are just visiting - worth booking! read more

When ever we go away for a winter vacation we come here first and pre tan. No point in being sun burned on vacation. My wife also goes here for her hair and she is always happy afterwards. read more

Do not go here if you are looking for quality nails. I booked a shellac manicure and it took an hour and a half to complete the job (I had to have 5 shellac nails removed and the process took more than 30 mins). The final paint job I recieved, to sum it up, I could have done better. Space was left on all three edges of the nail, looking like I already had a weeks growth the day it was completed. TAKE NOTE, their prices posted online do not match what they are charged either, they charge an additional $5 to every service. They were very pleasant to reverse this for me, upon myself catching the discrepancy and pulling up their prices to prove the difference. Hands down super disappointing experience and waste of money, especially for the Aveda salon experience I thought I was paying for. This is not a safe choice in a tourist town that you are unfamiliar with. read more

My sister in law and I enjoyed a wonderful mani pedi experience at salon 2545 Sechelt. We were treated to a private room so we could get our mani pedi together, while enjoying drinks (the salon is licensed!). unlike the usual nail salons, 2545 truly gives a full experience where you get to relax in a massage chair so you can lay back and enjoy. The ladies were so friendly and fun, we had the best time! read more

Hopeless in Sechelt . . . This might be a place where you can get a relatively good colour and cut, but definitely forget it when it comes to getting a gel/shellac removal and fresh polish. Never, ever, have I been so disgusted with the looks of my nails following my service here. To begin with, it took over an hour for my 'technician' (and I use the term loosely) to remove the old shellac. At one point, she used her own nails to pick at the remnants at the tips of my nails. I did mention at least twice how to better remove it, but no heed was taken of my suggestion. The machine used to 'set' the shellac was old and worn out (and the only one they owned). Towards the end, my 'technician' went to ask another individual which order to apply the various other coats/finishing liquids. Now it wouldn't be so bad if the end result looked presentable. Not so . . . it was streaky and blobs in places. I noticed that one nail was missing polish at the tip. When I showed this to my 'technician' she then used regular nail polish to correct the mess. Unbelievable. The entire procedure took over 90 minutes (every where else I've been is usually 45 minutes from beginning to end). Worst of all, the polish started flaking off in less than a week (and I usually get a fresh paint every three weeks). Took photos but unfortunately they don't show the ridiculous mess I paid for. So wanted to go back and get a refund. Hate to bad mouth a salon in a small town, but beware. It's obvious this person has had no clue or training from management. Come on now . . . don't offer a service or technician who has no idea what they're doing. read more

I recently had my hair cut and coloured, and a brow wax at 2545 Salon and Spa in Sechelt. Nichole was an excellent listener and also gave good advice about cut and colour for my hair. I would highly recommend her as a stylist/colourist. Gabriella was a professional and competent esthetician. I would definitely rank it as the best brow wax I have ever had. Studio 2545 is one-stop shopping for hair and aesthetics. When I moved to the Sunshine Coast 4 years ago, I was thrilled to discover that I did not have to go into Vancouver for a great cut , color and spa services. I get a better result right here in Sechelt than any of the high-end salons I've been to in Toronto, Calgary or Vancouver. I am now thoroughly addicted to the AVEDA products - the hair color, shampoo and styling products, skin care and make-up are all noticeably better than others I've tried.
