We payed for 5 minutes (5 dollars). I set the notch to "pre-soak". Nothing came out. Okay, that's weird, but surely I can speak to someone and they can help resolve the issue. There is no call button or phone number on the wall, and they have very few to no staff members helping customers. Mind you this is at 2:00pm, not in the middle of the night. We finally flag someone down, and they come check out the issue. I explain that nothing is coming out of the nozzle. He says "okay", and walks away. Is he coming back? Is he fixing the problem? I wouldn't know because I never saw him again after that. 10 minutes later we try calling the phone number listed on google, and let someone know that we need assistance. At this point the speed and quality of service is pretty frustrating, but it's a self carwash. If they can resolve the issue, I can hold my tongue and get to washing my car. Someone, we'll call them guy 2, eventually comes out, and asks what's wrong. I explain to them that the pre-soak nozzle wasn't working, and the machine ate $5. He comes back with tokens and sets the notch to "high pressure rinse". It works, but I explain that's not the mode I was asking about. He explains that different modes use different nozzles. He shows me which nozzle the pre-soak uses. It's the one I used before, but this time it works. My assumption is that the first guy went to fix the problem, but gave no follow up or reason for me to put more money into the machine. Guy 2 then starts explaining what each mode does, which I already know. It's also written on the wall. He starts spraying my car with a bunch of different stuff, some of which I don't want on my car. He also completely disregards where I'm standing, and sprays repeatedly with presoak, foam, wax, soap, and water. He also completely ignores the fact that part of the top of my car is missing, and I came to a self-wash to avoid water from seeping into my trunk. Nothing much else left to say. Seems fine if you encounter no issue. Price is reasonable. If you ever need or value customer service, there are cheaper places with better service. read more

The car wash itself is great, and I've generally had a good experience with the facilities. However, I wanted to warn other customers about an issue I encountered in the vacuum area at night. There were a lot of small, termite looking winged bugs around the vacuum section, and they were attracted to the lights. They were landing and sticking to my car while I was drying and vacuuming it. There were so many that I ended up leaving the area because I didn't want them getting inside my car or continuing to cover the exterior. I'm not sure exactly what type of insects they were, but there were dozens of them, and this was a significant issue at night. I hope management can check the vacuum area and surrounding lights for a possible insect infestation or attraction source. Again, the actual car wash was great, but I would recommend that customers be aware of this issue if they're planning to use the vacuum area at night. read more

My car is worth the extra love and attention. I have a hard time trusting others or the drive thru car washes, so I like to wash my car personally. These wash bays have the following features: pre-soak, wheel & tire cleaner, high pressure soap, foam brush, high pressure rinse, wax, spot-free rinse, air dry, and stop. A lot of these came out of the same nozzles compared to other places that have separate nozzles per function. Prices were raised from $3 to $4 for 4 min. They also took away free vacuum if converting $5 or more into their proprietary car wash tokens. Grand Prix car wash over by Costa mesa has better value now. The water pressure over there is much better. However neither place have good vacuums. Better to just buy your own vacuum. read more

This seems to be the place where the car enthusiasts go! I'm definitely a regular here and take my advice, go late at night to avoid the crowdedness and claustrophobia. There are 6 washing bays in total, 2 of which are designed for larger profile vehicles (there's steps on the sides to be able to spray the top). Directly in front of the washing bays are areas where you can dry/vacuum your vehicle, but the space is limited for 2 cars in each section... and it's a somewhat tight fit. Hand washing/drying is allowed in the bays if no one is waiting. The price to start the wash is $3.00, which is pretty good in my opinion. You can even use a card and tap to pay. If you use a card it'll charge $10 as a pending transaction then charge you the actually amount once you finish (press the green button to stop it from continuing to charge you!). It can somewhat be difficult to locate this place for your first time, but know it's connected to the smog place so if you see that then you know you're there. I've only used the water to wash my car as I bring my own soap and hand wash, but, I haven't had any issues with the machine not working. read more

First time today at the 24HR self wash. The 3-star rating is due to the cost to initiate coin operated car wash at $3.00 instead of nearby car washes which is $1.25. If this place allowed us to wash at $1.25, customers could determine if the car wash is up to standards before committing to $3.00. The point is to have the option to pay for additional wash time, if the equipment works well customers will gladly pay up. During the wash, the pressure wasn't consistent. The pre rinse, soap and waterless rinse sprays pressures ranged from weak to strong making it very difficult to clean the car. Too little pressure and debris isn't removed, too high of water pressure then water doesn't travel into the gaps and panels to flush dirt. Definitely check out the Coin Operated Self Car Wash, 103 E 1st St, Tustin, CA 92780 for $1.25 washes. Looks like they have gone up to $3.00 as well read more

Improvements! First time this year that there was a good amount of soap in the pressure wash mode, and the spot-free rinse stage was great, too. For $4 to $5 dollars you can't beat it! Carwash is good , not expensive , self paced some people can take as long as you want, but we got jumped the line. Most people waiting in line in one lane for long time there is actually just one line towards the left waiting for empty bay, but cars cut the line suddenly go up to empty bay from behind by creating their own right hand lane and use the empty carwash first, what do you do now. Great spot for self car wash, and will only run you $3 to 5 if you're able to work expeditiously! The minimum $3.00 charge to start the machine will get you 4 minutes of wash time, and the machine has various modes (i.e., high pressure soap, foam brush, wheel cleaner, high pressure rinse, spot free rinse, and air dry, etc.) at your disposal! You can add in additional tokens or quarters to prolong the wash time. The line for the self wash could be a bit long if you come in the afternoon (this time around, I waited almost 15 mins), so plan accordingly to avoid the crowd. Also if you don't have quarters, you'll need to trade in for token at the change machine. $1 for a token, and if you exchange $5, you'll get a free vacuum token. Very nice self service car wash. Quite busy, you might have to wait a bit to get in but it's worth it to me. They have all the tools for a nice car wash, even a wax. Pretty sweet spot get more bang for ur buck than the one off crown valley. 5$ cash u can spray down whole car and get a vacuum token for free. I suggest using 6-7$ tho I rushed the spot free cuz I almost hit timer. Since I recently bought a new car, I used the self-wash for the very first time today. Firstly, there was no soap in the machine. I could only do a rinse and air dry. After that I wanted to dry my car so I grabbed 3 towels from the bin that's present at one of the vacuum stations of the automated car wash. I was rudely asked to return them and told I cannot use the towels as I did not get an automated car wash done. What the heck is this rule? I paid $8 as well to wash my car myself (chose this as I don't want the automated wash brushes to scratch my car). Both are the same business and yet a guy tried to enforce this shitty rule on me? It really sucks because I was going to try to save a bit of money and do the work myself, and this place is absolutely awful. Not only did it cost more than the place that washes your car for you in the same parking lot, but the buttons do not work properly after I had almost gotten done washing it and wanted to rent it would not do anything other than the soap cycle. I've always been a little cautious having people wash my car. Just due to micro fiber swirls. So I'm really glad I was able to find this 24hr self car wash. It's a pressure hose when you can hose down your car. You can then drive into one of the drying and vacuuming stations to dry your car. Does get a little packed, but it is Southern California. read more
