I contacted the only Jennair-certified repair service and they gave me a quote with the exact glass cooktop model I had, but which was on factory backorder. The only other glass cooktop model compatible with my stove was available to order (cheaper than the model above that was not available). I contacted them to verify they actually had a part they quoted me for, and they stated that they'd order it. I informed them it was on factory backorder. They stated that we should then order and wait. I requested a new quote with the part that was actually available but they refused to proceed. I then contacted another well-respected repair service via Yelp. They promptly called me and recommended that I do not proceed with repair which was in their opinion costly relative to the price of the stove. Not so in my opinion. I finally had a good fortune to contact Oleksandr. He gave me the best quote, confirmed that we are ordering the correct available part, and replaced it 4 days after I initially contacted him. They were actually able to have someone drop by the next day. Kelly arrived on time with a smile. He started the dryer, said he could hear it (I couldn't). I was afraid I was going to have to get ten wet towels for the thing to start squeaking. He said it was probably the rollers and / or pulleys. I told him to fix it, the Fonzi method does not work. He replaced the pulleys and rollers. I gave it a couple of weeks but the dryer does not squeak any longer. The price for the service call was more than reasonable. He checked the dryer for dust / lint / hair and vacuumed it as well. Mr. Appliance of Parker still provides great service at a reasonable cost.

My LG refrigerator's ice maker and water dispenser stopped working. My search for a dependable…read moreappliance service provider on Yelp came up with Goodmans Appliance Repair. I called and made an appointment a few days in the future. The receptionist was polite, helpful and efficient. The technician, Bill, arrived on time, was polite and knowledgeable. He got right to work, opened up the ice maker and water dispenser door to look at the inner parts. He thought everything looked good. He looked again at the front control panel where the various buttons for changing the ice type, the refrigerator and freezer temperatures, the filter alarm indicators and the door locks. He noticed one of the door control locks was in the locked position and unlocked it. He then turned on the ice maker and checked the water dispenser. It was working again. He said I would have to wait and see if the ice maker worked, which might take several hours. I checked it the next morning and it was working fine again. I was impressed with Bill's ability to quickly find the problem and explain how the controls work, so this won't happen again. I would highly recommend Bill and Goodmans Appliance Repair to my neighbors and call them again when I need an appliance repaired.
